SaurolophusAnnoying host, production, and commercials.I have a paid Wondery subscription, so why are there commercials? Also, the host is annoying and the production quality is off-putting; any podcast that peppers its audio with social media beeps (thinking of the Twitter chirps) has me looking for another podcast.

VinnyVedecciGreat show, wish there were more episodesHost is great. I like that he’s an actor and has a law degree. He’s very good at the voices. And glad there are no boring interview episodes. Those always feel like filler episodes on Wondery. We just want the stories from these podcasts. Hope they have more episodes!

1 My iPhone 4sAnti semite?I have been listening to a few seasons and the only time I hear of someone’s background is when he’s Jewish, why is that? Why not point out the background of any other character….

Escaping CalifornianMisleading attempt to rewrite historyInteresting until you come across an attempt to mislead. The podcast quotes a former head of counter intelligence and try’s to pass over and mispronounce this persons name. Please clarify that the philanderer Peter Strzok is the individual who has lied under and carried out personal agendas. The podcast presents him as Pete Strzok(Struck) as if we would not realize who this is. I’ve enjoyed your podcasts in the past. Even the biased ones, but your attempt to mislead your listeners ruins your credibility.

BastardsackLoved it!This was a great podcast. Very well narrated. But now, it’s one of the many in my sub list that have become just another add for something else. I’d love for it to come back.

SbjunLife is not always fair!I never expected the ending, shame on me! The reason we should always remember is that money can help win any case. Also, wonder what the forefathers would think about the 1st Amendment being so easy to beat in court. 😢

gobravesboyBring it backThis was a interesting pod. Please bring it back

jvgreenblattPharma Bro is an excellent 3-episode seriesI really enjoyed Pharma Bro, but I would have liked to hear interviews/quotes from some of the actual participants in the case

MDC-2015What HappenedSome Wondery podcasts have corny narration and silly attempts to recreate voices. But, Legal Wars has great narration and very believable voices. This begs the question....why did Wondery stop making them? Bring back Legal Wars!

EchoBack18Compelled to write my first review!I have been listening to a lot of pod casts recently, many of which I really enjoyed. However, I usually don’t write reviews because I just want to start listening to something new. I just listened to the scopes monkey series and was so impressed I had to leave a review. The host really gives both sides a fair argument and doesn’t force the listener down one particular school of thought. The only thing that was missing was a follow up on the Butler Act and how it came to be repealed years later. It left me wanting to know a more. Bottom line- this podcast is very well done and I look forward to listening and learning more.

nyoduongoHost and StoriesThese stories are extremely well narrated. I could not stop listening.

Antonia EliseFive StarsI love this podcast. I am an attorney, so the subject matter does inherently interest me, but Hill is also a great storyteller. The cases/stories are fascinating!

Rumi FanHill Harper is a “ good ole boy”Love Hill Harper’s southern accent and his playing different characters
-
ZeeghaExcellent PodcastHill Harper is fantastic. He provides variety and humor in the scripts and the episodes are entertaining! Both Hill and Lindsay Graham are my favorites!
-
R13AvengerHe’s RealAs a Marvelous Mrs. Maisel fan, I had no idea Lenny Bruce was a real comedian! The television series only briefly touches on his controversial material and does not focus on Bruce’s story. That being said, after listening to a preview for Legal Wars, hearing Bruce’s name and learning Hill Harper narrates - I was hooked before I started. It is well worth a list

wondery fanAddictedThis is my favorite podcast. Hill Harper is an amazing narrator, he raised the bar, seriously. I hope to hear more from you Hill Harper! This has changed the way I listen to current (and past) events. Keep them coming Wondery!

cmf1224Hill Harper is Masterful. Commit to a full episodeUnabashedly obsessed with this podcast…and I’m a perpetually skeptical podcast-er. Hill’s narration is perfect. He’s engaging without sounding forced or artificial. Episodes are exquisitely crafted with a measured blend of storytelling and fact-sharing. Kudos to everyone involved for managing to accomplishing the seemingly impossible…educating AND entertaining.

greenherondesignsLove this podcast. Please make more!!I just found this podcast and it’s fantastic. It’s well-written, well-narrated, totally entertaining and I’m learning something at the same time. I’m sad I just found this podcast and they aren’t making it anymore.

Jinx ParkerIt was like a 6th grade production of Deliverence.I enjoy history, and I enjoy several other Wonderly podcasts (in spite of the endless commercials...which I can live with) I find them for the most part well written and factual. The ones on business, various scandals and the presidential elections i recommend without hesitation. The use of a central narrator voicing other (sometimes historis) figures can be an effective tool, making the topic more vivid But this guy is the WORST. The Pharma Bro episodes were bad, but the Scopes Trial was the last straw. His "voice acting" is just horrific. It runs the gamut from Gone With The Wind to Shawshank Redemption with stops along the way at Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction and To Kill a Mockingbird. This guy needs to be fired...along with his producer. I just can't take it any more, and have unsubscribed.
-
paigemcarterQuite possibly the worst podcast — everThe narrations, the narrator— the writing. Horrific.
-
sllimaraikThe worst voice actors/re-enactments everThe content is interesting and Hill Harper is a gem. But the re-enactments are awful. Unbearable.
-
Daphne BlakePlease bring Legal Wars back! This is a fantastic podcast! It’s written so well, Hill Harper is so eloquent and poised, the cases are interesting and thought provoking. Please Wondery, bring it back!
-
Lenore ;)Bring Legal Wars back! This show is easily one of my favorites. The narrative style and content gives perspective and depth to stories you think you know. In a sea of frilly and/or superficial podcasts, this one stands out. Please bring it back.

DavidjkeysUnbearably boringThis podcast was so boring and poorly produced it almost makes me wonder about the average rating of 4.5. The narration is horrible. It’s the host doing 100% of the narration: males, females, people of different ethnicities... The host does every voice with only subtle inflection to indicate there is a different character being discussed. The cases are also not researched or presented very well. There’s not really any interviews. The host even does voices for individuals where recorded content is free and readily available to the public. There are no arguments or analysis. It’s just the host doing “voices” about cases. For example, when discussing the trail of Hogan and Gawker: 100% of the time, the host spends time doing voices, even giving Hogan a weird Southernnnnn drawee. No soundbites from the trial, or any soundbites (at all!) of the interviews conducted with Hogan. I even skipped ahead to some of the later seasons in case production picked up steam... NOPE!! Even combing through a few of the reviews, the syntax and vernacular are unusually repetitive, leaving me to extrapolate they are likely completely made up, or generated. Either that or this podcast has a following of listeners who find the stories as a catalyst to get ready for bed due to its dull nature. Genuinely one of the worst podcasts I’ve ever listened to. The host is a self programmed Harvard grad, so there’s that egocentric mention 🙄

KoKoasize2Favorite. Best! This is my favorite podcast. I am completely fascinated how Mr.Hill manages all the voices. I am a paralegal so naturally I enjoy all things legal. This podcast does not make the legal side of things false nor just for entertainment. You can actually learn something here. I did not know about Lenny Bruce. I did not know about that Phara boy, meaning the actual reason he was brought to trial. I enjoy this podcast, I do hope this Podcast continues. If you need any help let me know. Outside of that please do keep the party going you are most appreciated. I also enjoy the background music selections, thank you again. Yes I am subscribed.

jcampbell55Bring back legal wars!It was the best I’ve heard in a while
-
Jenniann4Great Content, Hard to Listen ToReally like a lot Of Wondrey’s podcasts, the content is interesting. However, the voice acting is so hackneyed, wooden and halting I can’t listen. They can’t find a female producer/friend/actress to do the voices of the female personas? Wish they would fix it, imo would bring journalistic integrity to the podcasts.
-
TannerBushWhy would you end this show?!?One of best podcast out there along with Business Wars and Sports Wars. Completely absurd to end the series. What idiot made that decision. Bring back immediately!!!!
-
jmichlowitz94Hope it comes back! This show was a highlight of my podcast listening week. I really hope it comes back with new content and it’s not cancelled or ended. Hill Harper made legal battles incredibly educational and entertaining.
-
MagoobeeI can't believe it is endingThis was one of my favorite podcasts. I can't believe it is ending. It is not like there are not a lot more cases that could be profiled. This was very educational. I even lived through some of the trials (ie Chicago 8 , Lenny Bruce, Goldwater). It was excellently produced.
-
CisforLisaVery interesting! These are well produced and cover interesting cases. Can’t wait for more!
