Joshret58Learning how to save one Benjamin at a time. One of the best investment podcasts out there! I have been listening for a few years now. Full of fun and interesting trivia as well as great advice for saving and investing for personal finance.
-
Jolynne SmythGood content - please minimize the chit chat at the outsetI like the concepts and content. It's just hard to hang in with the chitchat.
-
ashersueBrilliant! Not “Brilliant”I’ve been listening to Stacking Benjamin’s for almost 2 years. As a younger listener, i love their 101 approach to personal finance. They keep it simple, lighthearted, and fun. Even though OG can be a curmudgeon, I enjoy his practical, no nonsense approach.
-
Ellie_KCMOIt's like chatting with friends over coffeeI feel as though I’m in the room with these fine folks. They give great entertainment while keeping me on track with my finances. Having been an over-spender, I listen to this podcast to keep me focused on saving and not spending. Thank you to this team for putting together interesting topics every week!

Skip in OmahaSo much more than just $Money!Joe and OG, I discovered your podcast 2 years ago and I absolutely love it! I don’t miss an episode. I’m 50 years old, father of 4 boys. In trying to maintain the delicate balance of daily life, I find so many useful tidbits through your show, and it’s super fun and entertaining as well! One question I have is…do you have a list of your favorite shows from the past? Maybe you could make a Top 50 list for the first 5 years?? Do you already have that and I haven’t found it? Thanks for what you do guys! Skip in Omaha

RobbyBobby91Informational and EntertainingDo you want to learn more about personal finance and have some fun while doing it? This is the finance podcast for you. They have fantastic guests and discuss all kinds of topics, some that might not appear to be financial related but are very informative and helpful for personal growth. There is a reason they are still around for so many years.

AssetNateMoney MagicListening to these guys is like listening to your grandpa and great uncles tell a story, not saying you are old, but wise. The jokes are edgy enough to make them funny plus it makes it entertaining while learning about money. I tune in every M/W/F to listen to the magic.
-
SuzyCT1970No shaming here!I am relatively new to podcasts and have tried many different financial shows in the last year or so but I love Stacking Benjamins. It’s funny but always optimistic. No one is shamed for past mistakes and you come away from the episodes hopeful and informed.
-
MatthhjjjGood intro to moneyThis is a good intro to money - how it works, how to generate, how to hold onto it. I like the entertainment value, which keeps it interesting. I don’t like all the ads.
-
JohnnyBatteryAll Ads All The TimeThis show used to be interesting and now you’re so overrun with ads it’s un-listenable. More than any other podcast by a huge amount.
-
Cb3174Savers without a directionWife and I started family, good paying jobs but didn’t know about personal finances. So easy to get hooked on these guys, very entertaining. We owe our comfortable glide into retirement, all the extra time we are choosing to spend with family rather than running the hamster wheel at work to so much we have learned here. Thanks to all and a definite thanks for Big D not being as creepy as that name sounds
-
MGB88Great show but miss Len Penzo! This is a great show where I laugh and learn. Only downside is when Paula Pant is on with her out of touch reality and knowledge of everyday person. Bring Len back!
-
Think45What Happened to the After ShowI love the podcast! It’s so entertaining. I learn so much and laugh out loud every episode. Please bring back the after show!
-
eric Charles francisGreat mixWhat a great mix of information, strategy, entertainment and inspiration.

Golfer856143Best personal finance podcastStacking Benjamins is the best finance podcast out there, it’s not even close. Shoutout to OG and Joe for all of their hard work to put good financial information in the hands of investors and retirement savers who need it.

Joe Andrews12Great to See Fresh FacesI know lots of people are talking about the “Len/Paula” episode (and it was epic…), but have any of these recent reviewers listened since then? That was over two months ago. Great Friday guests. I love the Mentor Monday shows (Hannah Cole was outstanding yesterday…where did you find her? I’d never heard of her before). And yeah…ads…but the second half of the show ad-free? I love how this show always finds a way to keep us engaged and finding new perspectives on money. Great job, guys.
-
Wendy1212!Bring back Len!Honestly haven’t listened much since Len isn’t involved anymore. Disappointed in how that was handled especially since Paula has an unrealistic view of how most people live and responsibilities they have. Love OG though!
-
K2TFBeing Len Penzo BackI liked the podcast, but I’m very disappointed that Len is no longer on the show. The disagreement that Len and Paula had, some episodes ago, was very disappointing. Paula acted in appropriately towards Len with their disagreement. In my opinion, she was out of touch with reality.
-
MatthewPEWell donePlease bring back Len Penzo!!
-
Sparty115Joe and OG Know What They’re Talking AboutI really appreciate the wisdom that the team brings to personal finance. Joe and OG aren’t just book smart, they’ve walked with people on their financial journey and dealt with life happening along the way. That perspective is invaluable and they share it in a fun and engaging way.
-
nbigsShow has fallen off.I started listening back in 2018 and would listen to every episode. As the years have progressed, the show has added more and more ads to the point where it becomes unlistenable. The show notes do not include time stamps which always frustrated me given it is a variety-style show where multiple segments are present. The straw the broke the camel’s back was the departure of Friday round table guest Len Penzo. SB has fallen out of my personal finance listening rotation.
-
joe_2121DissapointedI’d much rather have Len than Paula. She acted super childish during their travel exchange. Joe should have moderated that segment better.
-
Maggie GuntherPersonal Finance but make it Fun!Love the way Stacking Benjamins teaches us useful personal finance information and the great mentors they bring on… it makes learning about what could be a very boring topic, fun!
-
intheknow76Drop PaulaDrop Paula and bring Len back. She is so out of touch with reality.
-
A A 1313DisappointedThe show relies on to many guests that are chosen for DEI or woke reasons instead of professional content. Example P. Pant showed how unprofessional and angry she is on a recent episode. It is sad because some of the banter and financial information is very interesting.
-
teish8What’s Happened to this Pod?This used to be one of my favs but lately the shows aren’t the same quality compared to even just a few months ago. Is Lisa not writing for them anymore? The advice is repetitive and superficial. Guests can be very good, but Paula’s perspective is preciously close to advocacy for the current Administration. Very disappointing

BummerdudenatiousBummed you had Guilliam onBummed you had Guilliam on a recent episode with no warning about his awful content or any questions to him about his work. Checked out his podcast after the exchanges on the show. Was entirely insurance marketing with no actual detailed discussion of numbers or nuance. Extremely predatory. Don’t mind giving people a chance but would vet them, or at least ask them challenging questions if giving them the platform. This could really harm people if they fall for his pitch.

SistersFanI miss Len PenzaI miss Len Penza already

TeacherReviewer_21It pains me to say ..Ouch. Recently listened to the Paula and Len exchange episode. Had me turning off this podcast. The 6 minutes of ads doesn’t help either.
-
Andy PghSabbaticalLove the podcast but Paula is out of touch with real families and raising kids.
-
NickRawrAds and more AdsSomewhere within the bowels of this show there is some great and entertaining advice but six minutes of ads right off the top… ouch.
-
Patricia BarrowIncredible and EngagingIncredible, Engaging, and Informative - everything you need in podcast. This is a must listen.
-
Heather-45-VTMy favorite podcastBe warned this is some awesome informal conversation on this podcast, but please stick with it all of it his great information that is given in a relatable way. Honestly, it feels like Joe, OG, Paula and others are my good friends even though I have never met them. I have learned so much from this podcast about financial decisions and their impact on my life.
-
Practical NurseFantastic interviewsYes, these guys are funny, and it’s amazing ear bubblegum when the guys are talking back and forth. But I have to say they are fantastic at finding great guests and Joe is a skilled interviewer. The genuine connection and conversation keeps me coming back to listen.
-
Cwh2Awesome Podcast That Teaches NothingI have been listing to Stacking Benjamin’s since the start of the COVID lockdown. Always look forward to listening to Joe, OG, and Doug. I learned a great deal and was able to reduce my student debt significantly, pay off my credit cards, and increase my TSP retirement. Thanks and appreciate all you guys do.
-
ScrabbleQXZLove them! But don’t always follow!I absolutely love these dudes. They make learning about money fun and understandable. I have “called” in twice and they gave me useful direction. Fortunately one of the times I didn’t follow their advice and made almost $300K on a Airbnb in Idaho. But they are doing their best with what facts you can tell them. They can’t possibly know everything about your financial situation but I will say they give their best shot and know what they are talking about… most of the time. And yes I want my free shirt or shoutout for leaving an Apple review. AJ

misscookie63Entertaining Financial LiteracyThey use a lighthearted approach to financial information. I have learned a lot over the past few years.

GashburnHands down best personal finance podcastStacking Benjamins is the OG personal finance podcast! Content is current, relatable, and delivered with a side of comedy. I’ve been listening for 5+ years and haven’t missed an episode. The advice I’ve received has led me on the right direction for my own financial journey. Thank you Joe, Doug and OG!
-
Wildman4life1Jeff Sportswood approvesAbove mediocre podcast, even with that Doug guy hanging around like a stray dog! Great advice, I am hoping it will eventually help me move out of my parent's basement. Dad's not too happy with me, something to do with being 43, and a virgin... Aside from still wetting the bed, things are looking up! Who knows, maybe I can score a book or totally awesome t shirt out of this!!
-
The Note GuySo Entertaining & EducationalStacking Benjamin’s is my favorite podcast. I love the mix of humor and education that Joe, Doug, OG and the guests provide. If you are into finance and FIRE this is the show for you. Scott Carson - The Note Closers Show
-
Rolo72formanWould love more info much soonerIt takes a lot of effort to pick out useful information in this show due to so much banter. I like some funny banter but this show’s banter does not seem funny to me. Plus the ads.
-
_Willie_C_Best Money Show on Earth!Listen to this show at your own risk! I started reaching all of my financial goals after listening to Stacking Benjamins. But really, Joe and OG keep it simple and keep it real.
-
Rockytopman77Great show, but TOO MANY ADSJoe, OG, Doug, Paula, Len and others on Stacking Benjamins always have great discussions and talking points. While the subject matter is financial in nature, it’s not the same content every time like some other podcasts. I hope the Stacking Benjamins crew comes out to Knoxville, TN on the tour. I recommend Stacking Benjamins for an interesting and educational podcast that can help you save more and be more financially aware.
-
bob0828Educational and enjoyableGreat podcast. Always learn something new
-
Ek1106Laugh and learnI’m a long time listener. Started listening years ago during my 45 minute commute to care for my grandson. Took me a few months to hear “the dessert” - often getting great suggestions for movies, tv series and music. The new ‘Back Porch’ is a great replacement for the dessert. It’s a David Letterman Show on finance, life and trivia. My favorite shows are the Friday shows when all the regulars are together: Joe, OG, Len and Paula. Lots of laughing and learning throughout the shows. Add the interesting guests and Doug’s trivia - it’s a great listen!.
-
IamJonVonDo I drive faster listening or is the drive easier?I randomly found this podcast while looking to improve my family’s financial acumen on the commute to work. Wow, it’s not everyday (or ever since I was a kid) that hanging out in someone’s mom’s basement could be such a great experience. Joe and OG make the drive to work fly by and (don’t tell them), but I might have even learned some things. Thank you for the content!
-
lvl2EVNot sure what kind of show they run here, but it’s a good one!I've been coming on down to the Stacking Benjamin's basement for, man, about the last five years, and oh boy, what a ride it's been! I've got to say, this show is like a fine wine - it continues to get better with age. Or at least, that's what Joe keeps telling himself! Now, let me get to the good part. Neighbor Doug! The saving grace of this podcast. Without your witty quips and insightful commentary, I might as well be listening to a recording of my grandma's gardening tips. Thanks to Doug, and his trivia, I've had a reason to stick around!! Over these years, I can honestly say I haven't learned a single thing from the show. Zilch. Nada. I'm still convinced that Stacking Benjamin's is an elaborate experiment to see how long someone can endure mind-boggling discussions about the ol El Camino, or OG’s steak dinner. Yet, despite crying out for mercy, I can't help but laugh. The sheer absurdity and randomness of the show are a guilty pleasure I can't resist. So, thank you, Stacking Benjamin's gang, for teaching me... well, whatever it is you've been teaching me. All that being said, Stacking Benjamin’s is a breath of fresh air in the finance media space, it is informative, up to date, very well produced and most of all, fun to listen to. Joe has an incredible knack for opening up guests and providing some of the best exploratory and directive commentary I’ve seen from almost any show, and puts in the time and research to provide the most to his audience. The constant contestants w/ Paula and Len Penzo always create excellent camaraderie and result in wonderfully diverse discussions, especially when you bring up desert. 🍦 All in all, LISTEN TO STACKING BENJAMINS! Here’s to another five years of delightful confusion!
