Brilliant man- accessible to the laity
Draw dropping intelligence from this series. Intellectually rich without being too erudite for most average pee-sitters. What a treasure.

Thank you for being as fair as possible
You were kind and gracious, but you missing some key points. Your missing so much on your understanding of Icons. The basis of Icons is not Deification. Veneration is not worship. You didn't even mention St. John Chrysostom. If Eastern Orthodoxy is primarily defined through how it worhsips and what it prays and you don't even spend any time on it you have a problem.

Cleared away some of the fog
Of all the periods of Christian history, the Medieval church was the fuzziest part for me. Dr. Trueman's lectures helped to clear away some of the fog. His presentation is clear, insightful, and balanced. Highly recommended.

Clear presentation of theology that is better than advertised
Dr. Trueman shows the humanity and brilliance of the major Medieval theologians. Most of them were not bookish kooks, but devoted christians trying to understand the mysteries set out in scripture. They intelligently worked through a lot of issues on our behalf strongly influencing the categories we use to do our own theology. That doesn't mean they always arrived at the best solutions, but we have much to learn from them. Trueman is very clear in his presentation and sprinkles each session with good humor as well.
