    Such an important show!
This is a great show for foodies and news junkies alike! It's such a fun exploration of the intersection of food and current events, with so much to learn with every episode. Always current and always providing a unique perspective, Meat and Three is especially important now as access to food and the various food related industries are in flux, it's a great way to learn how to support these communities.

An Indispensable Show About Food and So Much More
Meat + Three embodies what makes indpendent media like HRN so essential—a mix of serious learning with unexpected and fun stories. Food serves as the throughline from piece to piece, but a given episode might dip into policy, science, culture, and personal journeys, to name a few of the flavors the show captures. Each story is a surprise, and each week a well-balanced meal. If you listen to one show to learn more about the ways food impacts our lives, make it this one.

    Government shutdown
Loved last week’s podcast on the government shutdown and how it’s affecting food in the nation. Thought it was an interesting topic and very well done.

I’m always entertained when I listen to Meat + Three. Heritage Radio Network has a lot of great content but this show really gets to the heart of it. It’s captivating, eclectic, and I always learn something. Anyone who cares about food should listen and if you don’t — Meat + Three will show you why you should.

Mac & Cheese is a Veggie
As someone who grew up in the South, I always loved a meat and three restaurant. No frills, familiar and cozy, and good food for the soul. This podcast embodies those ideals. It is three smaller topics paired with the meatier main story. It’s whetting your appetite for further helpings as it covers topics surrounding food, the food industry, and the economics of both (Food Freakanomics?). It’s clever and well researched and a delight.

    Not just for Carnisaurs
Well it just goes to show you can't judge a podcast by its title. This is a great show about a whole host of food topics, not just meat. I just finished listening to all the episodes available on itunes and really enjoyed them. I eat a vegan diet because of my belief in animal welfare, and I'm not going to lie, I think my favorite segment of all was the one about a heritage turkey farm (where, to summarize the owner of the farm they've "got old turkeys, and the turkeys get to have sex!"). But if that's not your style, they've got episdoes about all sorts of stuff, including one about the intersection of LGBTQ rights and veganism, and other stuff far removed from the world of meat. A+

Great way to talk about a subject
I love the idea of being able to talk about one topic but with all the components to the topic. Makes the conversation of one thing much more interesting and extended. This is something really good to listen to.

I love the concept of this show - a filling main course along with three sides. Just what I needed to get some bite-sized food stories for the week. Plus, I love any show that considers mac and cheese a vegetable.

This show is fun and easy to listen to
I really enjoyed listening to this show! It reminds me of RadioLab of which I’m a frequent listener. If you are looking for something to expand your insight into the world of food or food production then look no further. I was literally asking my fiancé about beer and calories the other day and then I saw this podcast about that very subject! Enjoy!!
