shinaramusha2 Spooky 2 Handle AdI like a lot of Earwolf podcasts, but that promo for 2 Spooky 2 Handle… I don’t know if they are doing voices, but I can’t imagine listening to them for more than 30 seconds. The closest comparison I could make is if the had cast Charles Martinet in the good Super Mario Bros movie.

atomicsaint2 Spooky2 Spooky horror improv is the best thing to come out of October. Please make this a stand alone podcast! It’s so so good. It’s absolutely insane an the best way. These are the horror movies I never knew I needed

NerdyBatmanLove Try Gays/Expo ExposeLove that Jacquis has chosen so many great shows and definitely gotten addicted to Try Gays on here. Love Oscar and Mano's dynamic and their great way of diving into each topic. Add on to that top notch guests and youve got a winning combination. This was followed up with an great show by Jacob Wysocki and Matt Apodaca visiting different conversations and giving great down to earth interviews and inside views to some niche interests that might fringe for some of us, but Jacob does an incredible job of relating and getting zing stories from the most interesting people. Lock them in to give us a weekly fix for each of these great shows!

MindaMaureenHeavy Metal Parking LotReally dug Expo Exposé. It tapped into the joy of some of my favorite docs and podcasts — the liveness, the earnestness, and hearing so many different voices and stories culminating around one central theme/idea. And there are so many different cons to be explored that these two could get into … and mysteries they could solve. I might have lost the plot on that last one, but the point is these four episodes really brought me joy.

ohheytraytrayMore eps plsGo ahead and send Jacob to more expos tysm also he is very sexy

~Al.~Refreshing comedy and kindnessJacob Wysocki brings an openness and kindness to this irreverent show. He doesn’t just make fun of the sub culture of each show he attends, he allows himself to be immersed in each locale. It would be wonderful to hear him on more Earwolf shows. Check out the Comedy Bang Bang episode he did with Matt Apodaca to promote the show or his amazing work with Dropout.tv. Beautiful work, Jacob.

i am manoNeed need NEEED MORE TRY GAYS!Literally obsessed. Can’t imagine this pod not being every week. I’m straight and I am HERE for this cultural moment.
-
tremuloideMy new favorite pod - let them speak! The Try Gays is my new top podcast. The podcast I wait to listen to so I can pay full attention and cherish every moment, rewind moments repeatedly to savor the laughs all over again. I so enjoyed Mano and Oscar’s humor and dynamic on Drag Her. Here with the Try Gays: one, we get consistent Oscar co-hosting which is a huge plus, and two, these Gays don’t have to be beholden to following the structure of reviewing sometimes good sometimes mediocre or bad RPDR eps (still, love Drag Her too, but The Try Gays soars above). With The Try Gays, we get full on unadulterated Oscar & Mano dynamics, with all the shade throwing, the intermittent praise and appreciation of each other, and all the riffing on queer life and culture that I need in my feed every week from these immensely talented comedians. If Earwolf does not transition There Try Gays from “presents” to a full fledged solo podcast, it will be a big mistake. Huge. To Mano & Oscar - I appreciate you both so much and want all your wildest dreams to come true with your careers and more. If/when The Try Gays continues, I / we all will be privileged to hear the queer humor and joy that you bestow your listeners. Thank you Gays!

Peligro_GamingGive me more Try GaysThat’s it. That’s the review.
-
itsallmyfault77Don’t Try Me NowThe Try Gays are the moment. Don’t be giving me all that coy energy- give Oscar and Mano the coins they deserve and make it a full show! Fabulous? Check. Talented? Check. Documenting a key moment in history where we might lose straight culture? Check. Don’t play- just make it happen.
-
Texans1More Try Gays Please!Earwolf needs to make Try Gays a permanent staple! Mano and Oscar are learning so much and it’s be a shame to see their education stop here
-
totesawesomeLOVE The Try Gays!Could I be gagged more? Could there be more eleganza, mama? Could my throat be as dry from laughing, kind of like your vagina? The answer is NO! I love this pod and need more!! Love Mano and Oscar so much! And with such top-tier guests! More, please!
-
marcharigTry Gays needs to be it’s own show!!I need a full show of Try Gays. The chemistry in this podcast is electric.
-
JustinSm77Great Queer ConvosThe Try Gays show is very relatable and fun to listen to. I’ve listened to Mano and Oscar for years now on the Drag Her Podcast, and their chemistry is hilarious. I’m glad I started listening to their new show since it is them talking about fun gay topics and then bringing in a straight guest to educate them about the hetero world. Highly recommend!
-
ChelseaRoseAMano and Oscar need their own podcast!I laughed so much.
-
Tea787Came for Mano & Oscar- will follow them anywhere.Without getting too serious- if there were no Mano and Oscar podcasts… I’d hurl myself into the sea. More Mano and and Oscar!
-
Carl_with_a_CSo ButchI love this podcast. They are funny, insightful, relatable, and doing the important work of making an archive for future archaeologists to use when attempting to puzzle out the bizarre remnants of straight culture. I am learning so much about the sports and strippering. Thank you, Try Gays!
-
CksnsjxksnwslcAdoring Try GaysI am having such a great time listening to the Try Gays episodes, I hope they do more than a limited series! It’s so awesome to hear comedians that I love from so many different podcasts chat queer issues, the PFT episode is so charming!

J.beard08Hypocrisy of The Try GaysI wanted to enjoy this podcast. Nicole Byer was the saving grace of her featured episode. Unfortunately, a more serious “safe space” moment of the cast centered around identifying what belongs in queer culture and then evaluating through an elitist lens what is and is not acceptable. I think appropriation is thrown around so much that they don’t understand their own usage in the context of their Beyoncé example. Appropriation insinuates two things. 1. That the use of another’s cultural elements is being done without any consent. 2. The proper acknowledgment of where those cultural elements stems from to increase soap education/awareness is not being performed. So when you talk about Madonna? Yeah. I get it. She has several moments through her career where she take from queer and POC cultures without acknowledgment. But you lost me at Renaissance. . Literally, the album is an homage to Queer POC—specifically ballroom—culture. And the album features several queer entertainers and icons. TS Madison, Kevin Aviance, Moi Renee to make a FEW. Recognition and a coin is already feeling less appropriated. But beyond that, you have a Black female gay icon bringing more attention to what was largely a Queer Black part of culture. Bringing it into the mainstream so as to move queerness away from being a “dirty” subject like so many states clearly still think it is. Beyoncé has had several pro-Black statement pieces and this is yet another. Because pro-Black means of all gender expressions, ages, sexualities, etc. Just like pro-Queer means of ALL expressions, races, etc. Which brings me to what separates the hosts from white gays, as they say. Conforming to heterosexual norms is NOT exclusive to white gays. And white gays have several issues, but I think you fail to realize DL culture is exhibited far less proportionately in white gays than POC. And DL culture is inherently het-coded. Masculine/feminine roles are practiced more heavily among gay POC than white gays. And if you’re really basing the whole thing on music, mindless music consumption is common among white gays… as it is for POC. And just because something isn’t art to you doesn’t mean it isn’t art to someone else, especially the creators of art. Your elitism does not produce absolute fact. So please. As artists, as you continue to appropriate from others in the form of inspiration, give credit where it’s due. And then respect the art of those around you even if you don’t like it. Do your research and support ALL people and stop diminishing the unique experiences of others (like white gays) who you clearly deem beneath you.

Michael RydzinskiEarwolf strikes again w/ The Try GaysGreat new show, I would love to have it be more than a limited series. Hosts are hilarious and it gives me an insight into a culture I can’t say I know the ins and outs of, since I’m straight.
-
LilMirHereTry Gays- Need this pod weekly foreverCan’t describe how much I love the Try Gays pod. First, the chemistry between Mano and Oscar is so natural and hilarious and you can’t help but smile the whole time you’re listening. Second, the guests are all your favorites in comedy podcasting, which is the cherry on top of the already amazing sundae. If that hasn’t convinced you, the little throw away quips (“Pythagorean theorem- work.”) will. This needs to be in my weekly pod rotation after the month of July. Hope it will stick around!

Movieman222Try Gays 100% needs a Full Series OrderAs a bisexual man, I personally don’t really connect with either heterosexual or homosexual communities. For an example, straight men always assume I watch football and gay men always assume I watch Drag Race. I’ve always felt this hindered me in some kind of way so I’ve always had to seek out more niche communities or subcultures. Try Gays is a podcast where two “raging homosexuals” (their words) investigate straight culture. In a way, this is a perfect podcast for bisexual (and, to a certain extent I’m sure, trans people) because we often feel just as odds with straight as we do with gay culture. For most of modern history, straight culture has interrogated and gawked at gay culture. To lampoon the other side is to assume gay culture as the norm which allows the power dynamic to historically shift back into balance. At its infancy, Try Gays is a reclamation project, made all the more relevant not only for the dangerous time we are in for queer rights but because the hosts are humorists instead of didactic think piece essayists. If you’ve ever met the duo within the comedy scene, they’re approachable, friendly, and generally down-to-Earth. Their reputation for this is well known throughout the landscape - not just by friends but by mere acquaintances. If comedy’s ultimate purpose is to remove tension from the complexities of modern life, there’s not a better duo to do it. Side Note: I was never a fan of the Try Guys. I found so much of what they did on Buzzfeed cringe and stupid and this was BEFORE the adultery scandal that lit up twitter for a week months (years?) ago. I always thought the title was great though. Oscar

MelissaTriesOkay but Try GaysBurgers. Well done. No cheese. No condiments. As a hetero, I feel seen. I feel loved. I feel validated. Do I wish Mano or Oscar would be straight for pay? No because I want them living their best most beautiful lives. Do we the heteros suffer a little because of that? We deserve it. Love this show!!!
