Experts shape our world. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. In every big story, you’ll find one; you’ll find a researcher, scientist, engineer, planner, policy wonk, data nerd, bureaucrat, regulator, intellectual, or pseudointellectual. Their ideas are often opaque, unrecognized, and difficult to understand. Some of them like it that way. On Cited, we reveal their hidden stories.

    Incredible.
There is so much I appreciate about this podcast, but… I’m struggling with the background music. So much so, that I’m not sure how much longer I can stay. It’s so pervasive that it distracts from the host and the stories, which so far have been fantastic. Very informative and interesting.

Good until the new project about “intellectuals”
This podcast has provided valuable historical and sometimes scientific insight on important issues of our day. However, the recent episode about intellectuals deviates from that. It follows a recent trend of giving a platform to ideas based on how provocative they are or how charismatic their author is—something we should be doing less of; not more. I’m disappointed to unsubscribe, but there are lots of great podcasts out there. So the loss will soon and easily be forgotten.

    Hidden gem!
I stumbled across this podcast after their story on heroin clinics was featured on life of the law. This is well researched, with great, on-point guests and interesting topics. Keep up the good work!

    Fake News
They use distorted, exaggerated, or misrepresented version of the position or argument of people that disagree with their views. No balance. They get one star for presentation.

    Gets better and better
Cited continues to do a great job highlighting important and interesting issues and finding people from an array of backgrounds to unpack them. The hosts have really come into their own as facilitators for bringing academic work outside of the academy, while at the same time showing the importance of academic work within and for society.

    Amazing Show! Unique topic!
This is a totally unique premise for a show. I think learning how research, bad and good, influences the world we live in is going to be awesome! The first episode was really great and kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to see where this show goes!
