The way Amanda is able to sit down with nearly anyone and have a meaningful, entertaining, enlightening conversation is truly a gift. In an industry that thrives off click bait and low hanging fruit questions; journalists and interviewers so often giving “pick me” vibes, she is none of that. It’s a convo between friends every time and we get to be the fly on the wall. She doesn’t miss!

The lack of research is so hard to listen to. It’s like listening to two cousins trying to hold small talk at Thanksgiving, the guest is doing their best but the interviewer should really have more info going into the convo and show more respect for the interviewee.

Just a tip… Maybe research before u interview A List celebs or anyone coming on your podcast??? Ik it’s a common occurrence for u to be uninformed but when u asked Brooklyn Beckham, “What’s in Miami” I screamed!!! It’s legit as insane as Beenie “fiddlestein”!!! Between the insane voice (when K Stew mimick’d you I died!) and the lack of knowledge and prep, can be a ROUGH listen. When Ryan Renyolds was on you def should have known that he got his start on the sitcom “2 guys, a girl and a pizza shop” which became “2 guys and a girl”. Point is… I shouldn’t know TONS more about your guest than you do! You got very lucky w the Ks.. maybe put the work in to make the most of it???

I’ve been listening to this podcast for literally years but recently I’ve just been feeling like the interviews are so surface level. I don’t think she does any preparation for her conversations ahead of time. It’s almost disrespectful to her guests to ask such stupid questions!!! I’m sad because I’ve really liked it in the past and I’m falling off as a fan now.

I’ve been listening to Amanda for years. I don’t know why I waited so long to write a little review to get my virtual smoocharoo. ❤️ Amanda’s guests are always impressive and relevant. She is respectful and asks the right questions while being an active listener. When she’s really into an answer, she repeats it back. I love that. And she’s funny! I can’t wait to see who she interviews next.

So entertaining the whole way through, Amanda always gets the best convos out of her guests and every episode feels too short!

Amanda’s interview skills are like no other. It always sounds like she is talking to a friend no matter the person or topic! So good! You won’t regret listening!

Been around since 2019 and my podcast library has changed drastically except this one. Amanda has this casual authenticity that really makes for a great show. I truly feel as though I’m listening in amongst friends.

Doesn’t seem like she’s comfortable interviewing. The recent Selling Sunset interview was cringe! Made me very uncomfortable. She doesn’t seem to have a good flow.

Interactions with guests feel so uncomfortable. And there’s never any preparation done - I can’t believe she’s constantly being corrected or asking guests about things she should already know had she prepared for the podcast and done the slightest bit of research. I feel like all episodes are super uncomfortable and forced

Came back in 2024 to see if it’s more of the same and WOOF has it worsened. I get my fill of up-speak valley girl from Alex on CHD where at least there’s a modicum of research done instead of here. I see Amanda’s growth curve stands as a flat line. What a shame. Original review—— As background: I used to religiously follow NSBNF on Insta until the great unearthing happened which led me to unfollowing her. Anyway, I never realized that she had a full blown pod so I decided to give it a chance. Holy moly was it hard to get through. Was a little too assertive over the guests and “interview” portion was mostly her talking about herself tbh. The vocal fry and swinging vowels of a over exaggerated valley girl accent don’t really help out. I’m good. Thanks.

She calls herself a 🥩(bc she flips, duh) and her openness to new info, combined with her ability to stay on the beat, and ask the super direct questions with real empathy - is unique and refreshing. She is about the drama without being in the drama and it’s all with the best of intentions. She’s worth your precious podcasting minutes!

I absolutely love Amanda of Not Skinny But Not Fat! She had Joey King on her latest episode. It has so much packed into it! 😊 I loved them them reminiscing about The Kissing Booth. And her basically growing up in front of the camera! This episode is one of my top 5 favorite NSBNF pod cast episodes! I also learned so much more about her. ❤❤❤ loved it!!!!!! Great guests but let them finish their thoughts. It’s hard to listen when the host is constantly interrupting or talking over the guests in every single episode! It makes it soooo hard to get through episodes, have to take a break on this one

I love the way Amanda can make me laugh with almost every one of her guests. She's introduced me to people I otherwise haven't been often exposed to, and I can't wait to continue hearing/learning more!

I really like the line up of guests her producers get, but I wish Amanda was better prepared. She consistently does very little homework and commonly misquotes things (e.g. in the Katie Maloney episode: “comparison is the thief of joy” was not coined by Tinx; Theodore Roosevelt said it. You sound stupid.)

You always have the best guests on to interview. The interview with Lisa was amazing!

The guests are great, but the way Amanda interrogates and judges a guest after they say something that is new to her is so off putting. It’s very unprofessional and shows a lack of maturity and understanding. Do your homework on your guests or learn to soften in interviews.

I think it could be decent but the host doesn’t allow the guests to talk or even reply to her run of the mill questions that everyone else asks before her.
