    Time to end
Harry says he has overcome the medical issues that have made the show a little difficult to listen to recently and sounds in fine form now, glad to add it back to my regular rotation. It’s my Sunday.

    Am always fresh classic
Have loved this show for over 20 years - And have followed it on public radio. Totally missed its transition to podcast once I lost it live and am happy to find it again. Great satire, intelligent, makes you think, makes you laugh. Harry is a man of so many talents and all of them are on display here - keeping the news honest since 1983!

    Been listening since 1842
Pretty sure Harry was recording Le Show before Au Clair de la Lune recorded his first phonautograph. He keeps an eye on ne’er-do-wells the world over for us, and we’re better off for it. Besides, beats watching The Olympics.

Can’t imagine a week without this voice of reason, wit and irony. Thanks for the playlists and the finely honed edge with which you slice up this crazy world.

    WHO IS THIS FOR?
"Why do I do this to myself" I think as this smug ***** launches in again. Harry is the smartest guy in every room and he will lecture you about it for an hour a week if you let him.

Making fun of Kimberly Potter? “Supposedly accidentally?” I did not like how this was presented.

    The fastest hour
News you won’t hear anywhere else, great music every week, and my favorite - apologies. It’s the Sunday service I never miss.

    Two versions
Now I’m getting two versions, one is supposedly louder. However there is no mention in the podcast info about which is which. If I’m going to get two downloads of the same episode every week I’m going to unsubscribe

    I.Q. Test
Harry is way ahead of the curve. I didn’t see the Olympics hypocrisy until they banned all forms of protest. Insightful!

Accurate, factual news told with wit and good humor
I’ve been a listener of this news show since 2003 because he consistently delivers newsworthy information from as neutral of a position as you can take, given that some say you can’t be “truly” neutral/unbiased. He doesn’t cheer for anyone’s agenda, but sits on moral plane where he spotlights what is right and true and who is transgressing on those liberties that have allowed for a person to be able to provide the service he does.

    Attie the Atom
Great show, been listening for years on NPR, but I miss Attie the Atom. I don’t know whether it was due to a pay dispute, creative differences, or because he was upstaging Harry, but I hope he returns.

    If you like your comedy
lightly sprinkled through a thick porridge of microplastics, news of bee colony devastation, climate change, potshots at the Army Corps of Engineers, insecure smart devices and swings at the surveillance state, well, this one-man show is for you. And if you don’t? Wise up.

Where’s this show been all my life!
I just had this show recommended to me, and now I regret the years I’ve missed listening to it. Apparently it’s been around since the 1980’s. Before this I only knew Harry Shearer from the Simpsons, but he lives in New Orleans and plays phenomenal music on his show. He delivers the news with some of the punch that’s been missing from NPR lately, with segments like Bad Banks and News of the [Global] Warm[ing]. What a gem!
  • DaMathBum
He’s a lefty, I’m not. So why do I love the show?
...well, Mark Twain was a lefty too, and I’m not giving up on Mark Twain. I need a laugh just like the rest of you!

    Le Love Le Show
Thank you to everyone for everything you do to make this show each week. It really matters. I appreciate how you drag the ugly things into the light of day.

    A different perspective
In his weekly radio show, now podcast, Harry brings news with enough irreverence so that we can hear it anew. This is not merely a news program, but a well thought out review of information you probably missed or were not aware of, though now you are glad to know. Harry brings satire, humor, juxtaposition, and irony to the front of the conversation to highlight the issues that we should all be working on to rectify. A must hear event every week!

    Great for my mental health
Harry Shearer is a treasure , a gift that keeps on giving to our culture. Yes, he is serious about a number of issues ( climate change, micro-plastics, the Army Corps of Engineers, etc. ) but I find him to be immensely entertaining. He is a satirist who pokes fun at all of our recent presidents, not just Republicans. The man who gave us “Hell Toupee”, Bush 41/43, Clinton Something, Strictly From Blackwell, Karzai Talk, Nixon In Heaven, Ralph The Talking Computer, Derek Smalls, and his collaborations with Tom Leopold, has meant a lot to me. I look forward to each episode of The Appresidentice. You’ve got to laugh to keep from crying, sometimes.

    Katrina
The in depth analysis of Katrina done by Harry when no one could do this in a long term form is now being used as a learning example on our covid response.

Not good for your mental health
The most bleak, dismal, morose show you’ve ever heard. Just nonstop pessimism and negativity with “jokes” dripping with cringeworthy self-conscious sarcasm. There’s plenty in the world to worry about, and this doomsayer always tries to find even more, with constant distracting misspeaking and verbal flubs. Not to mention terrible music and the worst skits and impressions I’ve ever heard. I’m a lifelong Democrat but I don’t need the darkness this show loves to wallow in.

    Listening for 20 years
As a 18 year old I remember driving around with my friends listening, they would ask “what the hell is this?”. Now it’s my kids who ask that, and I still respond “ it’s this weird show I love”.

Le Show - Quirky, Insightful, and delightful part of my Sunday (or Monday, or …)
From the first creaky 'studio' at KCRW (back in '84?), to a global web following - Harry Shearer keeps the 'truth that's stranger-than-fiction' alive, factual, and relevant. Always thoughtful. Always talented. Relentless and caring. Funny. Ironic. Shakespeare stirred, not shaken. Sporting an eclectic and music list, including the incomparable Judith Owen. @harryshearer thank you. thank you. Thank you. ~r austin, texas

Great Info. Get him a bottle of water!
Someone needs to tell him to drink some water. Enough of the pasty mouth noises already!

    Best of npr
This program is a perfect combination of witty humor and insightful political satire to bring you news from outside the Bible. Harry does this in a unbelievably funny fashion jumping in and out of characters and filling the show with little quick wit comments. Please never stop Harry

A part of my life for decades
Harry’s show is an institution. I’m a very critical person and so is harry so how could I not adore this podcast? I love how he digs up news items on a series of themes and updates on them every week. He’s not always right — his doomsaying on the digital revolution was off the mark — but that’s what happens when you predict — you make a pre out of dic and t. The one miss on his shows is the occasional expert who will take up most of the show. I’m there for the weekly updates on news of the warm and microplastics and so on, and usually skip those segments. I will typically skip the skits like Karzai talk and the songs too. But I wouldn’t miss a show for anything.

    Le show for affluent whites
Want to know what concerns well-off White folks have? The immensely wealthy Harry Shearer will lay it down for you. Week after week it’s about nuclear power, the Olympics, Rupert Murdoch, and global warming. You’d hardly imagine that the drug war is raging and free speech is under fire. Shearer forgets to mention that he and Murdoch have put many millions in each other’s pockets, or that Harry’s multiple homes and constant air travel bless him with a gigantic carbon footprint. He often breaks the hypocrisy with some numbingly monotonous skits.

How to make bad news entertaining
I usually can’t keep from laughing out loud when I listen to Le Show and I usually mention little quips I’ve heard here to coworkers or family members. Trouble is I can’t retell it as funny as Shearer does, so I end up giving them info to listen for themselves. His ability to impersonate so many people and to even have a conversation with himself in one of these characters is amazing!
