110

Do you like game shows? Do you like politics? Whatever, you will LOVE The Ciquizza anyway. Each week the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza puts two supposedly smart guests to the test with questions on news, politics, entertainment. The winner will be covered in glory. Unctuous
Cilliza who seems to always set the bar as low as he can for each venture has outdid himself again

    Go Away
Chris Cillizza is the worst of America. The only good thing about this podcast was when it ended.

    It works
I've been listening now for a few weeks--it's fast-moving and entertaining. It doesn't take itself too seriously, which is exactly what we need right now. Great pace, great guests, tight editing. Highly recommended.

THE FIX or WAIT, WAIT DON'T TELL ME?
I just heard about this podcast and after reading the overview it sounds like NPR's long running show.

Quiz shows + current politics = perfect entertainment
Just found this podcast and listened to my first episode. I'm subscribing and will be back for more!

A fun twist on today's politics and news
Do you like 80s game show music? Do you like self promoting egotists? (I know at least 62,979,636 who do) Then this podcast is for you!

    Easiest quiz show podcast. Sad!

Not a guilty pleasure. A pleasure.
Always fun. But I get better scores than most of the contestants. Me, in my car, answering questions about presidents and Nobel prizes, to the mess in my tween-destroyed car. Would like photo of the thumbs-up trophy. Or the cat toys.

    He's so handsome
No one rocks blue specs like MrC. I do enjoy the show, but wish it was longer. Maybe math problems or diagraming sentences. Also, I have a piano.

    So much fun
I love the self-deprecating humor, and I love that the guests are from all sides of the politica rubix cube. Thank you and please keep making them -- I need something to laugh at in these dark political times.

Not a bad way to waste a little time
It's quite fun but I am surprised at the ignorance of most guests when it comes to general knowledge. They know their politics and current events.

    A must!
Very funny, extremely entertaining! I happen to drive a ton for work and I always look forward to this pod. Only downside it that it is much to short. Keep up the great work!

    unfortunate effort
Chris is the ultimate "insider" who thinks his status makes him clever. It doesn't. He's not.

    Stick to music
When I was in high school, I loved this guy. He had a way with words that really moved me. But now that Chris is on his own, I don't really like any of his new projects. I wonder if it was really just John Buckland that I enjoyed. I mean, Yellow was a fantastic song but perhaps it was the 3 note guitar solo that I was hanging onto, not Chris's melodious pipes. Also, at this point in his life, I'm quite surprised Chris is spending so much time focused on trivia and politics. Maybe he just needed to decompress after the uncoupling from Gwyneth and felt that a podcast was the way to do it. But then why use a photo of that dude with glasses as his podcast art? It's a total non sequitur. Some speculate that this is Chris's "Chris Gaines" phase and we'll get the old Chris back soon. I sure as heck hope so. Fix You was the best song ever and I want to hear more of that. Sidenote: I used to really love U2 but then I lost my house. Ever since I started living on the streets, that music no longer spoke to me. So you might say Chris is sorta like this homeless man's U2. Maybe that doesn't mean much to some but it's what keeps me going through the day. That and soup.

    Goofy goodness
This podcast is my guilty pleasure. The jokes may be corny but that's part of the draw. It makes me laugh multiple times per episode and I totally appreciate that.

Thank god it's only 20 minutes
This show... uh, podcast... what the heck is this?! Cillizza does "trivia". What the hell, I'll give it 5 stars JUST for the holiday one. LA CHEESERIE!

    Supremely unfunny
This is one of the dumbest podcasts I've ever heard. The host comes off as a smarmy frat boy who is about 1/10 as funny as he thinks he is. Dump the host and you might have a decent podcast.
  • BigRaguUK
    Great theme music
It appears that the show's budget went mostly to the theme music - money well spent. It's a nice, catchy game show theme.

    Funny & always different
This is a funny, irreverent, & erudite podcast with two regular hosts, starring Chris Cillizza, and two guest contestants in a trivia quiz format. You laugh and maybe learn something cool. Check it out!

Awful "both-sides" pundit also lousy podcaster
If you're reading this, you probably already have formed your own opinion about the host from the schlock he's been writing for years. I gave this a shot because he books some good guests, but he's even schlockier than I'd feared he be. Typically clever and intelligent people somehow become dull and tiresome in his presence. Powerful, powerful schlock.

    Fun And Light Hearted
I absolutely love this Podcast. I found Cilizza on the TK show and as a loyal Little I wanted to give this a shot. I find it light hearted, fast paced and funny (in an ironic, pathetacly unfunny type way; sorta like Chris himself!). Love it - and look forward evey week. La Cheeserie!

Boring, Unfunny - and Cilizza is predictable
This guy blasted John McCain on the issue of his health during the 2008 presidential election only to then come out and say why Hillary's health issues during the 2016 presidential election doesn't matter, then only to write an article (after considerable blowback on social media) about how its different now. He is a one trick pony, and that pony is to swallow whatever the political left gives him to swallow. Without a doubt he will try to use this podcast to push a political agenda. The only 5 star reviews are from Tony Kornheiser's loyal listeners who will support anything with the show, not because it itself is any good, but because they adore TK that much. At the end of the day, Cilizza is a hack as a radio guest/podcast host as he is a writer (I won't call anyone in media an actual journalist as the practice is long dead) for the Washington Post. Essentially copying a segment of the Tony Kornheiser show, that he is affiliated with, into his own seperated "podcast"(??) is what you would expect from this hack. Cilizza is extremely unoriginal and his predictable obvious sarcastic try at humor gets old after his second "joke". The man hosts a local DC bar trivia, asks the same questions to the TK show hosts/guests which is popular only because of how TK responds - and then believes himself able to have a podcast that most likely recycles the same questions he's used elsewhere.

Insight + Hilarity what's not to love
I've always enjoyed cilliza's the fix, but its cool to hear him just gab and discuss with his colleagues
  • Rossario
    Unfortunately extremely disappointed....
Big fan of Chris' work in the WP, Morning Joe and MTP. This podcast seems ill conceived and uninteresting for a very interesting guy.
  • js31222
    Verdict Not In
Let's give this a few more tries....questions that someone besides Chuck Todd might actually know....Steve Kornacki did the quiz show thing and it was fun to play along...not so in this first podcast.
  • Finallyeditingwee
The annoying, not funny class clown
Interrupts his guests constantly, talks over them, poor jokes and dialogue.
  • Moishe1
    Boring And Repetitive
This is a typical democratic podcast with Clinton talking points, boring af.
