Web of WMN

58

Each of us is surrounded by a rich community of connections -- we have some combination of friends, family, partners, co-workers, mentors, and more. Then each of those connections has connections too. It all forms a bustling, complicated, interconnected web. Welcome to Web of WMN, Wonder Media Network's new show that dives into the identities and relationships that form who we are as individuals and communities.

    Awesome sauce
I really really love this they are doing such an amazing thing and while I feel like I’m learning a ton it’s also entertaining as all get out and makes me feel like- why can’t all learning be this engaging and interesting ? Also the host, Jenny, her voice and tone keeps my full attention. Favorite pod cast. It’s hard to find something to keep me entertained that is still educational. I like laugh along with this and feel like I’m there w them and not just listening. Thanks for making this!

On Common Ground, White Fragility etc.
The up-speak? the young woman ceo? that Kyra Sedgwick was interviewing so irritated me that I couldn’t focus on the topic or even what was said. She put a question mark on every declarative statement she made? When someone has an interesting story? Or point of view? I’m mostly hearing this from thirty to forty-something women speakers? I have to question why they need to be so uncertain about their experiences or their presence being interviewed they can’t be firm and not automatically question themselves before anyone else get the chance. When I hear this, I just move on past to something else. Yes, I’m a 66 y/o career woman that had to be clear and forceful speaking to mostly male audiences. They would never have taken me seriously if I spoke this way. This is really sad. Suzanne

    Inspiring!
In a world that seeks to divide us, this show encourages us to think thoughtfully about our relationships and what brings us together. As Jenny said in Ep. 1, storytelling can help change the world. I hope this will inspire more of us to share stories with each other and ignite more empathy to each other.

Love the WMN crew - so excited for this one!
Great concept that ties together the diverse interconnections of society through interviews of individual women - naturally exploring the larger communities that these individuals and their connections make up.
