Cover to many great shows. Love it. Intelligent and funny.

Being a busy working mom, I’m often playing catch-up on currently trending shows and will often watch them several months after they’ve been released. So was the case with American Crime Story: Impeachment. As is a habit of mine when I enjoy a show, I went searching for a podcast that discusses it, characters, plots, etc. which is how I found Daily DVR. Each episode became more and more difficult to stomach as I listened to bias from the 2 primary hosts Axel and Gina so aggressively slanted toward hating anything that wasn’t “liberal” that it became impossible to listen to. The last straw for me was them doubting that Jaunita Broderick was worthy of any sympathy as a rape victim because they didn’t like her conservative Twitter feed. So much for “believe women” right? Never mind that Juanita Broderick passed a lie detector test or had credible witnesses who saw her after Bill Clinton raped her. She’s a conservative, so IF she was raped, she probably deserved it. On the flip side? Brett Kavanaugh was the biggest scum that ever lived (because his accuser WAS credible) and Monica should’ve been “smart” and tampered with evidence and gotten rid of her blue dress to save Clinton’s presidency. Sometimes it baffles when people who think they’re so “woke” trample all over what the espouse is their own values and don’t even realize it. Had they stuck to the times they were talking about the show, the performances, compared the episodes to events in history, etc. it would’ve been thoroughly enjoyable. But when you start picking and choosing which rape victims get to be believed based upon their politics? I’m out.

I listened to 30 minutes of one episode and he already mispronounced two names. He also said that an actress “did real good.” I guess if you don’t mnd the blue collar vernacular, then this is your show. Not for me.

Axel bring a laidback atmosphere to this podcast that includes wide ranging topics but centers on tv and film. He is a maker not just a talker. I have been listening to him podcast for years and just keeps getting better.

One of the great things about A Song of Ice and Fire is trying to understand the unreliable narrator and get the perspective they are coming from. Axel and Justin bring a unique perspective to understanding the story.

Another great podcast from W Axel Foley. He lives the dream. He watches everything for us and gives us stellar reviews so we can save ourselves the trouble of watching crap. 😬 Now we get to hear his insight daily! Outstanding!

Perfect podcast for a daily dose of pop culture.

This guy is funny, smart, and made my commute fly by. I liked some of his other podcasts about HBO shows but this is even better. Like the free-er form. It's great and thought provoking. Highly recommended.

His sometimes humorous takes will keep your head spinning and you will go on a journey you didn't think possible for any brain to go.
