CreativeActiveFantastic! This podcast dealing with work relationships is absolutely fascinating. I love this podcast and I hope there are more to come in the future!

Sascha4realGood insightsEsther work is really great. There are an interestingly high proportion of gay queer guests. Does it mean we have an extraordinarily high amount of issues?

DeeFosRussThe Shows are DifferentI used to like this and WSWB. And still do. But lately, especially with How’s Work, I just get frustrated. The best friends/coworker ep. Was especially frustrating. Someone else mentioned how Esther didn’t hold any of them accountable especially the friend who didn’t get the promotion. Instead we get a lot of voiceover cuts explaining what Esther observed, but those observations don’t seem to be explored in the sessions. I am not learning as much as I used to, and there is a depth and integrity that I miss. Esther is so sharp and skilled at communicating with clients; I’m just wondering with this different approach if people a getting as much as they could from their time with her.

Intern 123Fantastic tool for counselors in training!!When will there be more session episodes???

Noodlegirl57always misgendering clients ?Pls practice showing respect to trans ppl, Esther Perel. I love you and your shows but it’s frustrating to hear the constant misgendering. I recognize the effort, but you’re gonna have to try harder.

TiCniII love the earlier episodes of “where should we begin”But I feel like the last few episodes of that podcast and this podcast have been missing the mark. I can’t put my finger on it - maybe it feels like the clients are more narcissistic and whiny than the prior ones, maybe she’s not calling them out (in the gentle insightful way she used to) but these latest episodes just frustrate me more than intrigue or educate me (which is how I felt after listening to the earlier episodes). An example is the episode of how’s work where it was two best friends, one got a promotion and the other was struggling wanting the first one to prove she cared…Esther allowed the one to completely control the session (the one who got the promotion only spoke for about 5 mins of the 45 min episode). There was gaslighting and selfishness and emotional manipulation even while saying “ I know I shouldn’t feel this way” and Esther just never confronted it. She was the master at encouraging accountability in a gentle balanced way but I worry that the new episodes have lost the original purpose/integrity of the original podcast

Podfriend123Love this showI love this host and all the advice she provides. I hope she continues to put out new episodes.

SleepyLaBRightnot so greatEPs Where should we begin was so terrific! these episodes can be ok, but nowhere near as interesting or charged as the couples counseling - i wonder why Ep is devoting her energies to card games and work and phone calls rather than couples work that she is known for and great at?

sardini11111Thank youI’ve learned a great deal about work relationships, and relationships in general from this show; specifically that I am not alone in my conflicts and communication issues within my relationships. I currently am at point where I feel like I am at a standstill in my professional life, and hearing others work through the issues they have at work, in so many different industries is tremendously helpful. It feels precious to hear so many different types of feelings about people’s professional lives and relationships, and I feel like I’m able to apply some of the reflections to my own life. Thank you to the host and producers, and especially to the guests for sharing their stories.

-
hard edgesWell -I prefer the couples relationship betterThis is boring and uninteresting. And I love her work. But, I’ll keep listening. Maybe the world is so acute at the moment the subject matter -promotions and lost BF’s just not meeting the tone of the world.

A visual designerBravo to the beautiful, messy, existential mindsetWe can make many connections between others’ stories and our own, even if situations are nuanced and very different. When I listen to these vulnerable and brave guests, I feel less alone, knowing that perception is just that—perception. We all have deep stories and complicated views that live within our own systems and micro cultures. Listening here, I feel supported in this, beautiful, messy, and existential mindset, we call “living.” Bravo!

Jennie*o1Excellent!I absolutely love This podcast (as well as ‘Where Shall we Begin?’) she is changing how people think about counseling, therapy, etc... which is great becuade as far as I am concerned because WE ALL NEED IT! If you walk the face of this earth then it would behoove one to say that they wouldn’t benefit from therapy. ‘How’s Work?.,’ is raw & honest. Esthers skills, knowledge & insight is profound, powerful and inspiring. She is intelligent and humble. I enjoy listening to anything with Esther to be honest lol! I value what she says and am pleasantly surprised at her willingness to set aside her own ego & reflect back on the session to make it know what she could have said differently etc... which is oh so very important. I have a lot of respect for someone who can reflect on their own words with honesty & integrity. She is a deep thinker and has taken this profession to places that it has never gone. My husband and I have been able to listen to these podcasts & apply what we have learned from her & use it in our relationship — and THAT should speak volumes... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PODCAST AND ALL OTHERS BY HER AS WELL. !!!👏🏼👍🏼❤️

CoCo 🇺🇸Love her whole vibeIt’s rare to find people that can speak to any generation without tailoring the message. Esther does this seamlessly throughout her videos and podcasts. So happy to have found her.
-
nc_2020Love Esther Perel; Adam Grant episode not so muchThe series is wonderful. Word of warning: The episode with Adam Grant is very hard to listen to. He’s incredibly patronizing and pompous throughout the conversation. She’s relentlessly human throughout.
-
Gypsy_FitchSo relevantThe connections to past etc. brought about a lot of “ah-ha” moments. Thanks so much for this 🙏🏽👏🏽

nmrbLove this podcastThis podcast is amazing!
-
Kalena!Esther amazing as usual but...The episode with Adam Grant was difficult to listen to, he clearly had this agenda that he wanted Esther to fuel without acknowledging the trained complexity of her thinking on human behavior. At times he was borderline patronizing to her, mansplaining, ugh, couldn’t finish that episode! I mean who asks, “who has more power right now?” Great pod but skip that one.

sulli280Very Helpful!I’ve been in pattern for the last 7 or 8 years of finding a job, being miserable in it, and leaving to find another. This podcast speaks to me on many levels, especially the first episode. I haven’t found myself in a place in my career where I’m so successful that I’m bored, so not every episode has been directly relevant, but most of the underlying themes are so relatable.
-
rache-l-l-eLove it!Love all of her episodes! I learn so much from esthers insights, thank you!

Rocky87543Esther Perel is the truth ♥️What I love the most about Esther Perel is that she seeds insights, surfaces reactions and has a special skill in curating meaningful conversations. Because she leverages the experiential currency of others, it makes her conversation incredibly meaningful and relevant to many. She is such an insightful human. Please keep these episodes coming!
