    US immigration
The facts in the story were not entirely accurate. For example, Biden’s so-called border policy not passed by Republicans. The bill contained several points in direct contradiction to a secure border policy. Also, a noncitizen from Mexico is Mexican not Mexican-American. That is kind of the point, isn’t it?

    Good content long intros
Great content but stop wasting time with the intro where you tell us what you’ll discuss. The title tells us that

Decent reporting mixed with unjustified sane washing
I keep the Times’ podcast in the mix because I value a non-American — one, in theory, less polarized than most of our media here. There is often good reporting in these episodes, especially the investigative work. Today’s episode with Tom Newton Dunn about the Harris-Trump debate on September 10th was a reminder of The Times’ true colors. Dunn could not help but ‘sane wash’ Trump’s insanity — and had to be reminded by the host several times of the unhinged things Trump actually said underlying the “points” Dunn claimed Trump scored. This sort of thing is a disservice to listeners, who deserve to understand just how historically out-of-place that candidate is.

    Pathetic
If I could rate them lower I would. What they did to the Ballerina Farm family is terrible. Just because you do not understand something different than what you grew up with does not mean you can try and humiliate them. I am not surprised however coming from the people that say they value “inclusion” while attacking anyone with whom they disagree.

    Amazon 7/24/2024
Unbelievably riveting!!! Thank you for this deep dive into Jeff Bezos world dominance business winner takes all mentality. Leaving in its wake destroyed businesses financial ruin destroyed dreams. When Amazon now takes half of owners profits then copies top selling items for Amazon named products, that’s wrong, that’s a nasty, that’s not right.

    Late news
This podcast is hit and miss. Some days they have interesting programs. I have noticed they are late on trends, like months later. Which doesn’t work in this era. For example “trad wives” all my other podcasts have done an episode on this like 6 months ago, so it’s all copy and paste. Boring! Maybe this is podcast is made for boomers?

    Southgate
It’s interesting how both interviewer and the interviewee circumvent the issues of race and violence following the last major tournament. An occasion where I, and many people around the world thought Southgate showed immense integrity and grit, despite his countrymen’s flagrant racism and vulgarity. I think Southgate’s composure in some capacity quelled the anger I felt. This is evidenced by how he immediately ran onto the pitch after Saka’s devastating penalty, and embraced him, as a father would. He was protective and I felt that, as a black person. I cried, not from disappointment, but from fear for that young man, but seeing Southgate sprinting onto the pitch and shielding Saka, brought me consolation. That’s quality.

    Exceptional reporting
I live in the U.S. and these Times podcasts are my daily listen. I wish we had a media outlet putting out quality like yours. I am grateful to have this opportunity via Apple podcast! The series on Poison was especially riveting. The stories about Russia oligarchy, the porn industry’s impact on this generation of young people, Covid, the Coronation, and most recently, neonatal nurse Letby are also worth a mention. Thank you. Keep up the stellar work in your journalism.

    February 8,2023-British Gas Co.
Your Investigative reporting on British Gas Co.’s chilling practices of attaching a“pay as you go” meter regardless of circumstances when homeowners got behind on their gas bill is a Mr. Scrooge heartless action as Energy CO’s are awash in profits. There needs to be an excess profits tax using those funds to assist homeowners who are in need of help. Big Fan KHF-Albuquerque, NM USA

Deb James was dear to me. While I always listen to this amazing podcast, today’s tribute was the most moving, the most beautiful of the many I’ve seen. Thank you for your journalism everyday, but today especially.

    Hunter Biden’s Laptop
We now have come to find out the allegations against Hunter Biden are true. I wonder if there will be any updated podcasts admitting they were wrong. Trumps family would have been crucified if the roles were reversed.

    Great podcast
A great podcast and solid, balanced journalism. The latest episode called “The Taliban will kill me” is incredibly sad and infuriating. Everyone should take a listen to it.

    Excellent listening!
An excellent podcast - I could listen to Manveen's dulcet tones for hours and hours! Whilst getting behind the headlines is always done with great aplomb, I really enjoy the unexpected stories, too, such as the China one-child policy episode or the children who won't wake up. Today's Zuma episode was a great listen as I felt I finally understood a story I had whizzed past in the papers for a while now. The episodes on Covid-19, its mutations, vaccines and lockdown implications have been very informative and I find myself becoming something of a science pro - thank you, Tom Whipple! David's a great presenter too - have a listen to his Cameron series if you haven't already. I always enjoy his pieces in the Times; he seems to be one of the few Times opinion writers who still manage to convince me on issues. I listen religiously to his The Briefing Room, which I highly recommend to other listeners. My occasional annoyance with this podcast is technical: the editing on some of the episodes can be a bit unpolished but do persevere for the content. Perhaps the pandemic's shortened my fuse as I get rather annoyed with random guest presenters who don't have radioworthy voices or accents I can easily comprehend so I end up switiching off for those episodes. Having said that, the recent book review was good and should be done biannually. All in all, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this podcast!

    This is appalling
After listening to the the episode on Meghan and Harry vs the Firm I am appalled. The correspondent’s hypocrisy is astonishing. In one breath he casts doubt on claims that there were racist discussions surrounding Archie simply because Meghan and Harry chose not to name names and in the next breath he puts forward allegations of bullying but refuses to say what actually happened out of “concern” for the identities of the accusers. How about a little bit of consistency? The blatant double standard involved is why most people view the term journalistic integrity as an oxymoron.
  • mfffffdfddddszhnbg
Rupert Murdoch would be proud :)
The episode on Harry and Meghan was cringeworthy; listening to a white reporter dismissing the fact that concerns were raised over the colour of a baby’s skin tone was gross. This same reporter goes on to describe the only person of colour in the royal family as a ‘bully’ whilst citing zero actual examples of bullying. This is, according to him, to protect the identity of the employees; yet he then goes on to name one of them (a PA named Melissa who was sacked for gross misconduct 🙃.) Not a big fan of podcasts which delight in smearing pregnant women, won’t be listening again to this rubbish.
