Best podcast series ever in true crime
I personally know Martin McNally, and this podcast tells his story completely inaccurately. Danny is a wonderful storyteller. Just goes to show people can change.

    Stranger than fiction
Fantastic great interviews and clips from Walter Cronkite. It was a hard to believe time. But Hijacking was off the hook. We didn’t call it skyjacking though. Such a rouge’s gallery of characters. They don’t make em like this anymore. Even your parents aren’t even close to this. 100% Must Listen.

I completely enjoyed this. Loved the history. Loved the way it was told. Loved all the “and THEN” moments. Loved the narrator. I give it 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Keep up the good work. I hope the writer does more and includes this narrator. ❤️❤️

    Well worth a listen
The centerline of the story is good enough with the hijacking of the planes, but the twists and side stories that followed make this binge worthy. Great podcast!

Pretty good. If you like ads.
Having a 1/5 of each episode be ads is a little overkill.

    Overall
Great content, but dude jumps around on the story and switches the narrative on a dime in some eps. Slow down, map it out a bit better

    Good Overall
Very cool story. Super corny presentation, but it’s easy to see past the negatives.

Sort of all over the place
I listened to the whole thing but it was strange the way the varied stories were intertwined.

This is fascinating. I love the enhancements especially the “Dr Davis” from the episode involving the hospital. I want to meet this man as he reminds me so much of my own ex husband. This was done so well, great journalism and flow. As we become inundated with podcasts it’s actually exhilarating to hear one like this. Excellent!!

    Great!
This podcast is excellent! It’s concise, there’s no filler to the show, each episode is as interesting as the last painting one clear story. The host did an exceptional job, he remained entirely objective throughout the show and avoided any wild speculations or accusations. Very professional. The story is fascinating as is the show’s subject, who from the first episode comes across as incredibly likable, even as he honestly talks about the crimes he committed. You don’t want to miss this one!

Thriller of a tale that hijacks your attention
Wow!!! What a crazy story. Danny Wicentowski keeps you wanting more and more, telling the tale like a captivating man sitting beside a fireplace with a glass of scotch. Twists and unexpected turns around every corner accompany you through the series of events of Martin McNally’s ‘adventures’ and his subsequent consequences & achievements. A must-listen experience that keeps you on your toes from beginning to end.

    Great Podcast !
I remember the incidents this podcast refers to. Extremely well produced, narrated and organized. Each character jumps to life in your imagination, you start rooting and cheering for them. Author has a knack for making the personalities come to life

    Loved it.
Great podcast production and presentation of the story. I really enjoyed it. The only complaint I have is the breaking up of the show with advertising. Plus, the ads are repetitive and way too long. Horrible! If you must have ads place them at the very end so we can fast forward past them and on to the next episode. Other than that issue I really loved the shows.
  • mmmsophisticatedmama
    Incredible!!!
Great production, pace and storytelling. One of the best podcast series I’ve ever heard. The host let’s the subject tell the story and the editing is perfect. My only complaint is hearing the SAME long ads each episode- horrid.

    You Will Be Transfixed
Outlandish, sensational, thrilling, this is story telling at it’s finest. This is a story that will stick with you. Strap in because you’re going for one hell of a ride.

    Rooting For The Bad Guy
You’ll start of with simple fascination of a psychopath’s thought process being presented in such an immersive production —listening to him talk is extraordinary! But pretty soon you’ll take the earbuds out and look around at your surroundings to have found yourself in the middle of a fluctuating journey of immorality and empathy, as the plot thickens, wondering if you’re able to cut ties with a person you never thought you could relate to. This is an example of how true crime podcasts should be made.

    Whaaat?!?!?
So many surprises that you didn’t expect. I couldn’t help but shake my head in disbelief! Great podcast. I’ve already recommended to so many people. Enjoy!
  • niceguysteve
Interesting story but waaaaay to long
Crazy story but it constantly detours into very in depth stories about secondary characters. The whole thing should’ve been done 5-6 episodes.
  • Schoncher
    Hold on tight!
Wow! What a ridiculous story. Be patient and you’ll be all in by episode two. But don’t give up right when it looks like the protagonist is about to change. Just go with it. This is a wild ride, so buckle up, sit back, relax, stay calm, and no one gets hurt! Well, kind of...you’ll see.

True Crime Fans Will Love This Podcast
As a true crime fan myself, I was hooked on American Skyjacker from episode 1. Martin McNally is a compelling guy on his own but the best part was how the podcast dissected what made him interesting and focused the episodes around the really important parts. Any concerns I had about the podcast as it shifted to incorporate additional characters was quickly eliminated once I learned more about Garrett Trapnell. But I loved that the podcast never strayed too far from McNally, a flawed but ultimately lovable protagonist, who provides plenty of entertainment as he explains (and embellishes) his life’s accomplishments. Well done Imperative Entertainment team!!

I absolutely LOVED this story! Mac is such an engaging character...you can’t wait until the next episode! The music, the mixing, the voices...all amazing! The story is crazy unbelievable....it proves truth is really stranger than fiction!!! Well done!!! I’ll miss this!

    Outstanding!
In my 16 years working with people who had returned home from prison, I heard many wild and crazy stories. The story of Martin “Mac” McNally is BY FAR the wildest and craziest story I’ve ever heard. If you like true crime stories, you will not be disappointed in this incredibly entertaining and well done podcast which chronicles the life of Martin McNally who hijacked American Airlines Flight 119 from St. Louis Lambert Airport in June 1972. I had the pleasure of getting to know Mac upon his supervised release from federal prison after serving 37 years of a life sentence. I watched him learn how to live life on the outside after years spent in solitary confinement and I was at his going away party when he eventually left St. Louis to return home to family in Michigan. Mac is a very interesting guy and a great storyteller. Over the years I have told many people the shortened version of this story. Now you can hear the full story as told by Mac and many other first-hand accounts from people who were there.

    Amazing!
The storytelling and production is A+. I laughed and I cried, I was on the edge of my seat. Just when I thought the story was over another facet was added. I've recommend this podcast to all my friends.

This story was so riveting I put all my other podcasts on hold until I binge-listened to all of the episodes. Well done!

    Riveting story!!
Absolutely one of my favorite podcast series!! Martin is a hoot—always on the lookout for a way to make a buck. But he also tried to make amends to the family he wronged. I introduced this series to my 90-year-old uncle, a former Navy man living in the Detroit area. We highly recommend!!
