Geez — Bronny played with LeBron. It went well. Historic moment. They won. Stop with the *ifs. And how ridiculous would it have been to have it carry on beyond one game. Forget *could have been — they played together, we won. As Paul McCartney said, “It’s the bloody White Album, shut up.” Some of you podcasters beat the analysis to death.

I listen to a lot of NBA podcast and I am a lakers fan. I’m sure these guys are nice. But they seem to repeat themselves a lot aren’t really funny and don’t really provide much more insight into the team then I would just find out n the nba app.

    Lakers Offseason Question
Draft day trade or trade before July 1 while salaries are same as 23 season. LA: DJM, DFS - NETS: DLo, Vincent, 17 - HAWKS: JHS, Schroeder, LA 29’, 2nds from Nets. This would serve as the base of a 3 way trade give or take draft capital and a few min contract players — not sure if possible, but would then try to dump Wood and/or another minimum guy (Reddish) in Utah, lift restrictions on the 27’ pick and send some additional seconds to them and try to get Kessler to round out the rotation.

    Great pod
It would be perfect if you made it a little bit longer.

Great Content/ Lakers Ring of Honor
Hey guys, such an incredible podcast. Keep doing what you’re doing! Fun question I’ve asked previously when Anthony was hosting but would like your take as well since you previously mentioned that the Lakers have been blessed with so much talent over the years: If the Lakers decided to create a “Ring of Honor” similar to the Dallas Cowboys, what player who doesn’t or won’t have their jersey retired would you place in it? I’d love to hear a podcast where you both take turns, draft style, putting in 10 players worthy of the honor. P.S. What are you doing Buss family, make a Laker’s Ring of Honor now!

    Funny
Leave it to Brian and Andy to take any hype out of excitement for the lakers. After bobby marks gives the lakers the best first day of free agency, Andy and brian fall asleep at the idea of gabe vincent being a laker. They always preach what have you done for me lately, while at the same time bringing up Gabes numbers from two playoffs ago while dismissing this most recent playoff run. I enjoy the pod but be prepared to catch brian and andy trying to spike your redbull with melatonin.

I actually think this is the best sports podcast out there. Keep up the great work.

Kaminsky bros. How do think the general Jewish community would react to a Kyrie trade to the Lake Show? Serious question.

    Please stop interrupting each other
I just find it annoying every time one of you guys try to interrupt the other mid-statement. And it happens multiple times per episode.. Other than that, thanks for the great content.

    Good Lakers Podcast
I listen to Lakers & NBA podcasts all day while i work. I start my day everyday with the Kamenetzky brothers & i must say I really enjoy their pod. I wish they had even more Lakers basketball talk. Also; they are the only team Locked on podcast that makes pods all summer long. You can tell they have been following this team for a long time. They always make me laugh. Also; Andy has a great passion for speaking on his history with the Lakers team then & now. Give them a listen. Worth your time if you love the Lakers.

    Professional and informative
The brothers demonstrate their experience with the audio format by having a well structured show that’s nicely paced and engaging. Their use of tonality and humor makes it an easy listen while bringing their lengthy Lakers and basketball knowledge to the audience. I make it my 2nd listen of everyday but I do make sure to give it a listen even if it’s not my 1st listen like they demand. 5 stars

Lakers lack of commitment to role players
Historically, Lakers had role players that were a part of the team for 5+ years (Horry, Fox, Fisher and Odom). These teams were part of championships and were allowed to find their niche on the team over time. Since 2019, Lakers consistently sign one year deals without team options (Monk, Walker Jr.). For example, a lot of work and coaching resources were placed on Malik Monk. Monk seemed to flourish in pick and role situations and then let go for nothing. The consistent turnover seems to show the Lakers lack of commitment to role players and lack of team options seriously hurts the Lakers success over time. Can you please explain this shift from building a foundation built on role players to now one year players with no stability or commitment for a long term run?

Ok but too negative and political
Use to be a good podcast with lots of humor. Now just a bunch of rumors, negativity, snarky political comments especially about one party and trying to see ghosts where there are none.

My “Golden Boy” of Lakers content!
I’ve been following you both since the old days at the Mason and Ireland show in LA. Your show has great content and is always entertaining. Glad you are in this format and on YouTube where it seems like you can be yourselves without restrictions. Keep up the good work and thank you!

    Mailbag question
Do you guys believe Ham (and now Jent) plus Lebron & AD can convince some free agents to sign here for less than their value? Guys like Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton, and Delon Wright that have played recently under our new coaches could upgrade the veteran talent immensely.

    Thought Piece
Would you rather have a team with a higher a ceiling or higher floor ? For example would you rather have something like last year having 3 very good players and below average bench or sacrifice the higher end talent to have more talent top to bottom
  • RotatingRelaxation
    LeBron, Kareem, Magic
Do you think LeBron could be in his Magic Johnson phase of his career where he is a valuable playmaker leading a Showtime inspired offense? Can AD play the Kareem role? Also, do you think LeBron could have 40 Grand Slam titles in Tennis if he took up that sport with a seemingly rocket powered first serve? The big three there would only have 6-7 each in that scenario.

    It’s a great podcast.
These guys have been covering the Lakers for quite awhile and they know the NBA. Always an interesting discussion, but not too serious nor repetitive. Can be humorous and go off topic.

    Lebron playing time
Lebron wants scoring record so he will play weather Lakers are out of the race or not. He needs to shut it down if his knee is bothering him. One thing he does is jump high on big slam dunks. I find it unnecessary for a numb knee.
  • aprmd
    Appreciation
LoL podcast does a pretty good job of highlighting the cracks and scratches on the veneer of this season’s Lakers despite their biased alignment with the franchise. I don’t think you do enough to hold Lebron’s feet to the fire. He has had some late game turnovers, missed clutch shots, lapses in defense. Call him out as much as you do Russ.

    Great points
I listen everyday and want to personally say thank you. No beating around the bush on this podcast and love the moments of comedy mixed in. This season has been a joke so it only makes sense to laugh.

Tough season, made a little easier
Levity is the only way to get through this Lakers season. You two do a great job of that on the show. Appreciate your sense of humor. Love the Lakers, but boy oh boy, it’s been a ridiculous ride so far. Thank you for the pod!!!

    Great content / personalities
Love the Locked on Lakers podcast. The Kam brothers are VERY articulate and cover content that is both significant and intriguing regarding the development of the Lakers both on and off the court. Their witty personalities also make up for the continual disappointment of the Lakers ongoing slump… Only feedback: refrain from using the profane “G*D D*mn” so often. Just seems unnecessary and does more to offend than it does add value to your show. Other than that small detail - LOVE the show. It truly is my first listen every day.

    Rob isn’t good
Westbrook is there because the Lakers wouldn’t give Derosen the third year. They also got cheap on AC. The Westbrook trade was terrible, but did they have to give up a pick? Rob isn’t good. Can’t blame Bron

    Mailbag questions
Came over from locked on blazers cause of Melo. like that you all had mike twice he’s a great host and great crossover episodes! Questions: 1.) Melo has had a standing ovation in every game home and away thus far even in Portland and okc but in Houston. Has he ever received so much love over his career? 2.) Russ is being treated very similar this year to how Melo was treated in okc. Their have been talks of coming off the bench after being an all star the year prior. Is Melo helping Russ get through this? Will Russ’ career go downhill similar to Melo’s if this goes sideways? He’s already becoming the scapegoat and rightfully so but I’m a believer that they will figure it out.

    Anthony Irwinish!
If the Kam Brothers just talked about basketball, this would be the best Lakers podcast hands down. But the reason I stopped listening to the last host is the big reason I’m gonna end up not listening to them. Unnecessary cursing and the wanna be comedic statements is getting old. I’m ok to just listen to you guys talking about basketball without a joke! Get right, Kamenetzky brothers! You guys can do better!

I want Lakers content. Not political opinions.
I want to listen to updates about LAKERS basketball, Not opinions about politics. This isn’t a personal blog. Tried giving it a couple of chances, but I’m done listening.

    Kyrie Irving vs Lakers+Covid Vaccine?
Been a K Brothers fan since LA Times Lakers blog, thanks for your work! Hypothetically, if Kyrie Irving does not get vaccinated and is not allowed to play home games, would it be advantageous for the Lakers to ensure they have fewer wins than the Nets so that a potential Finals matchup would mean Brooklyn would have 4 out 7 games without their starting point guard? Assuming of course the Nets don’t end up with only 30 or so wins. Sounds like a silly strategy, but don’t you have to think about it for at least a second?
  • ncarnick
    Fred Anthony, wanted man?
Please clarify something for me. What did Anthony Irwin do to make him move to Texas to avoid prosecution in California?

Did we give up our Pope for a Monk and a Nunn you guys haven’t joked about it? That is it. That is my question.
  • MJ Dunlap
    Allow me to introduce myself!
What’s up Kam bros! My name is Michael Dunlap, long time listener/supporter of the pod. I don’t just jump right in to engaging with folks, I usually sit back and get a feel first and I have to say I really like/ respect y’all’s approach and takes, and look forward to engaging a lot more often! Great RW pod! I appreciate y’all addressing the cup half-full folks first 😂 thanks for that! I don’t know the numbers (I’m sure it’d have to be a S&T deal involving Schroeder or something) but I can’t get Kevin Love out of my head. We know Bron’s either running the show or standing behind the scenes with shades on and arms crossed- we know lbj loves Love. Would he fair well on this team? Floor spacing Love at the 4, AD at the 5?

    Lakers off-season
What do you guys think about this Lakers off-season scenario, and how realistic is it? Sign DeRozan and/or Melo with MLE Lonzo signs qualifying offer with NOP (around 14.36Mil) and is traded to LAL for Kuz & Mckinnie Sign and Trade Schroeder & Trezz (and/or possibly 22nd pick) for Myles Turner & Jeremy Lamb Re-sign THT and possibly AC Love the show! Keep up the great Work!

How do you guys feel about bro gong him in great energy corner three improved on and can get a bucket without Bron and AD one on one as you see is needed in playoffs

    Way to get Lonzo Ball
Great podcast. I have been listening and reading your work since LA Times blog days. Here is my question. Everyone keeps talking about sign and trade for Lonzo to Lakers which triggers a hard cap. However, his qualifying offer appears to be 14.36 million dollars. Could Lonzo just accept the offer with the understanding that he would be traded to the lakers this off season? Lakers get his bird rights and could send a player and draft compensation to the Pelicans. Next year they could then sign him to a long term deal or he is an unrestricted free agent. Thoughts.
  • DStonethrowr
    LeBron is the ultimate 5
What would it look like if instead of AD being matched up against small ball centers, LeBron played the 5 in those situations (vs draymond for example) with AD at the 4, and hopefully three other shooters?

    Phil comes in Handy
What up ! Love the show! Question is how do you guys value Phil Handy as an assistant?? And I’m nervous kidd might try to take him to Dallas with him …. Should I be concerned he won’t be in purple & gold???? 5 star rating activated ! 😂

Kam brothers have been great and still are.
Left when Pete left and it was just Anthony (lol) but the kam brothers are great and I’m happy this show is left in good hands (for now ig). This is also one of the most bearable laker pods after a tough loss.
  • aldbig
    Wheres Anthony
Dont get me wrong the Brothers make it seem more corporate and polished but I kinda miss Anthony’s laid back approach.
