    Confused
What happened to all of the old episodes? Went back to try and listen to the old discussions about the new movies such as Last Jedi and Solo, but they’re gone. They were all great please bring them back.

    So mindless
So shallow . Three persons constantly screaming! No new content!

    The pinnacle of podcasts
Life hasn’t been the same since they stopped. I still fantasize about the day they come back and do all the new series. Till then, these are great to replay.

    Come back!
I know Davis lost a lot of his love for Star Wars after TLJ but enough time has passed at this point and I know for a fact that y’all are watching all the new SW content on Disney+. Bring back the pod! I miss y’all’s fun fights & discussions. ❤️

Do you even like star wars?
2 of the guys on the show are fine and can have good discussions. The other guys just completely ruins it though. Dude literally just complains and hates on everything thats not the original trilogy. I cant bother listening to the show if hes on it. Hes a good reminder of why some people hate star wars fans, just toxic and stubborn and anything that differs from his preconceived idea of star wars is apparently awful

Remember when it was a book club?
This show was great when it was a book club. Now these dudes can barely be bothered to watch a cartoon and read comics twice a year.

    New Canon Hate Club
I used to listen to this podcast almost religiously, and both Alex and Jesse offer wonderful and engaging conversation and consideration of Star Wars content as fans and analysts. It's great! And then there's Davis. I don't think Davis likes any Star Wars content, at all. Davis has essentially entrenched himself in hate ditch hearing him talk in any episode is annoying and draining and I've largely stopped listening. Davis actively makes the podcast worse and derails any productive or interesting conversation to go on his droning rants about how much he hates literally everything that isn't original Star Wars. Removing Davis wholesale or replacing him would do wonders, maybe the podcast might actually be enjoyable or even passable.

    Really love the show
I knew all the boys from sgs and other solo stuff you guys do but I found this podcast and instantly fell in love I was purely a movie fan before this but I’ve had so much getting into the deeper lore of Star Wars through this podcast still waiting for mando season 2 finale review I need something to listen to at work

    Davis needs a hug
Say what you will about Davis, and I don’t agree with a lot of what he says, but I love the way he says it. He’s far more logical than the other boys give him credit for sometimes and even if his views are pretty exclusively negative, I feel like they make sense and I understand where he’s coming from most of the time. Yes, inner logical in a universe or whatever he said is important. Yes, character motivation and stakes are important. While I’m not as negative on these topics as he is I like the he’s willing to call out mistakes. As for Alex, I appreciate his positivity but I don’t really understand his opinions, even though I’m largely positive on Star Wars as a whole. I think it’s okay to admit when something is bad. If he legitimately doesn’t believe it’s bad I would love it if he could explain why and not just revert to “it’s a movie it’s not perfect” or “it’s a show for kids.” To Davis’s point on the chapters 5 and 6 of mando episode, I also realized that it’s weird that Alex loves mando but not the prequels. And ever since the last Jedi review episode Alex has confused me more and more. I recall him comparing Davis calling out the light speed missile scene and Alex tried to straw man his argument by comparing it to the movie Cars... except he wasn’t straw manning Davis’s argument, and I don’t think Alex really understood what Davis was saying. Davis tried to correct Alex by saying “if they said in Cars one that the cars didn’t eat and then in cars 2 they eat food, that would piss me off” to paraphrase, which makes sense to me. A lot of stuff in star wars looks beautiful. The prequels looked beautiful. But they weren’t good movies. So you can’t come to the conclusion that a collection of beautiful scenes makes for a good movie. End of argument. I don’t understand why Alex’s insists on ignoring story faults in favor of good looking scenes. Jesse is cool. No doubt. That’s all I gotta say.

    Thrawn Series
Finish the Thrawn book series! Just finished your Thrawn book review and I enjoyed it.

    So close...
The podcast almost had me 100%...and then they mentioned Doomcock as a source. The man is liar, and quite possibly, a hate monger. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt do now, but we’ll see how long I continue to listen.

A Delightful Window into Alternate Visions
I've been listening to SWNCBC since around the Solo times. I was fans of Jesse, Alex, and Davis beforehand, so I was quickly engrossed in hearing about all the goings-on in the new canon that I'd never looked into myself. The podcast even got me to watch some of the later episodes of The Clone Wars because the way they talked about them made me too interested to ignore. SWNCBC also serves me as an intriguing window into the history of the expanded universe in general, as someone who never really got into it in the golden age, either. It's a perspective that lets me view new products in a different light than I had before. Their theories about where Episode IX would go were especially fascinating. It's just unfortunate that the result wasn't really on the same page. It's also a bit sad that I end up agreeing with Davis's cynical outlook whenever arguments come up, since the other two aways seem to disagree strongly. (P. S: All hail Overlord DVD)

It’s Become Star Wars New Canon Hate Club
I get it, TROS was a let down in many ways, but these guys have gone off the rails. This podcast used to be about fans deep diving into new Star Wars books and comics and stuff, but now it’s become 30-something white dudes letting content not designed for them ruin content that is. They’re actually against the concept of New Canon now. Depressing negativity, not fun anymore.
  • JOMRANN
    Fantastic
I am a fan of Jesse, Davis, and Alex outside of this so getting their takes on Star Wars content is awesome.
  • Danstewart05
    Good
Good content, but they are incredibly negative. Sometimes I doubt if they even like Star Wars.

    Darksabre
Why is it assumed that is the actual Darksabre in Mandalorian? In Rogue One on Scarrif the Empire also had plans for the Darksabre

    Great Podcast
My favorite Star Wars podcast, especially after Disney takeover of canon. Hope the guys do some episodes over some of the Legends stuff. That’d be interesting to hear their perspectives. Good listen regardless!
  • KJ17H
    From my point of view....
I don’t agree with most of what the say, but their points are objective and well stated. Not to mention VERY FUNNY
  • Zeldalov3r94
    Consistently hilarious
    Informative but hilarious.

    Everything man
This is one of my favorite podcast too listen to. I have been watching Jesse’s videos since I was I was a teenager (25 now) and is one of my favorite content creators. I love Davis and his epic rages, Alex’s insightful views on Star Wars and e writing of many of the books and comics, and jesses comedy and commentary on the lore of Star Wars. A lot of fun to listen too!

    Rise of skywalker
Man I was waiting for this one, mainly cause now everybody that loved the last Jedi know sounds like everyone who hated the last Jedi. When the complaints came in on Lando all I could do roll my eyes cause it sounded like me being upset about Luke.

    Thoughtful Star Wars
Eminently listenable personable and authentic. Not too positive not too negative. Just right and really funny. The boys do a great job.

    Re-New love for Star Wars
As a youngster, I was not a big fan of Star Wars. I just thought it was movie series and that was it. I had no idea that there’s were books involved and that they were cannon. Thank you guys for opening my fandom to new possibilities. 💕

    An inconvenient truth
This is an incredible podcast if your wanting to keep up with the new canon for Star Wars. Only problem is they are not very consistent on their releases.

    Best Star Wars Podcast
We each type of Star Wars fan represented, this podcast is always a fun listen whether they are talking about books/comics or movies/tv. They’re funny and informative. Only wish they posted more frequently. They say they will but they don’t. Other than that they have plenty of material to listen to for a good while.

    Great podcast
I am late in discovering them, look forward to more from them

    Love these guys
I love these guys, I just wish they would do more episodes regularly.
  • Dragoonbill
It’s great minus a serious flaw or two
They do a great job talking about the new books, comics and animated series but they constantly misinform listeners by referring to legends as “old canon” it was never canon and referring to it as such helps full that whole “not my Star Wars” mindset. A missed opportunity on the other hand is discussing the books for the movies. They generally mention them but I think it would have a huge impact on how they viewed them especially TLJ.

    Love the new stuff
Love these guys and glad they're back. Literally I get excited when they drop a podcast. Im hoping for another debate on kaf. And go back and do Battlefront I. Its the best of the new canon.

    EXCUSE YOU
Ok I normally really enjoy these guys, but I couldn’t find any other way of contacting them so leaving a review for this is my only way of giving them this feedback for their latest episode: “this was written by Matt Fraction and his wife” AND HIS WIFE??? THAT IS KELLY SUE DECONNICK MOTHERF*****S AND SAY HER NAME. Seriously, she’s one of the biggest names in modern comics, ESPECIALLY after the Captain Marvel and Aquaman movie releases. Y’all usually don’t have the same sexist micro aggressions that I find rampant in a lot of male lead SW podcasts, but COME ON. I expected better.

    The Best Star Wars Podcast
This is easily the best Star Wars podcast. I have listened to all of the episodes multiple times. Their reviews of the movies are awesome! I was happy when a new episode appeared on my phone after nearly a year without new content.

    SWNCBK SNKPK
Love the SWNCBK! The best mix of half insightful and half totally wrong about Star Wars and hilarious while being both! 3/4 of the Scary Game Squad and retain the same sense of good goods and theory crafting

    Our friends
This podcast never fails to put a smile one my face, it’s fun cast and genuine nerdy insights are the highlight of my day As someone with barely any friends who are also fans of starwars , this podcast makes me feel comfortable with loving the universe of starwars. Thank you my perfect boys and I wish you the best

    Star Wars Nerd Dream
Just updating my review to say how happy I am that you guys are back! I immediately downloaded every episode upon finding this podcast. I love the idea of a “book club” that covers the new canon. Although I don’t quite understand their reading order or why they skipped some titles, I’ve been thoroughly entertained each episode. While they’re above average on their Star Wars knowledge, even the casual fan can keep up with their references. It’s a nice guide to the galaxy for beginners to book canon. I only wish they’d update quicker as I wait for their latest commentary. Keep up the great work, boys.
  • jprutilpac
    So glad you’re back.
I thought this podcast was over and I was disappointed. This is my favorite SW podcast by far. Keep it up!!
  • Nick from D.C.
    They’re back!
Five stars based on their energizing attitude about diving back in. They could have said the pause was too long and it would be awkward to start the podcast back up, but they jumped right back in and and said in Alex’s Han voice, “we’re home.”
