I first heard Brandon on the Big 4 Transparency podcast. I am an accounting student and actually had a preconceived notion that that I would find real estate uninteresting or boring. After the interview with Brandon I knew I had to listen to his podcast. I listened to the latest episode and then began at the very beginning. I have learned so much and had so many concepts from my classes begin to connect in new ways. The podcast is fantastic and I recommend it for anyone with even a small interest in accounting, tax, or real estate I think you’d find it very intriguing.

If you’re a real estate investor - you need to be listening to this podcast.

I’ve been listening to this podcast every week for a while now, and I genuinely consider the insights provided to be incredible informative and rare. Tom and Brandon (and now Ryan) speak on RE investing and RE tax with knowledge that is incomparable. I’ve yet to find another podcast with this much value. True Experts. Incredible podcast and an awesome team. Keep it up. 5 stars.

Have been avid follower to start. But as of late, have started to stray, and had to unfollow after the political rantings of Rod Khleif. Find another podcast if you want to learn about real estate and not sales pitches for programs and courses

I look forward to this podcast each week. Great source of info for REI Taxes, I especially like how they back their stances on topics citing case law . I have learn so much from their podcast that I’m creating a Facebook account just to join the Tax Smart REI group. Much looking forward to the Major League Real Estate Podcast too now.

It can be hard to find a CPA that fully understands and give people the full benefits of real estate invention.

Thank you as always for the very informative podcasts. Another tax strategy I have seen mentioned but wanted to know if it was legitimate to explore was to turn active income into passive so that passive losses could be taken against it. The strategy I had seen was to split ownership of a professional llc s or c corporation with a trust or limited partner so that part of ownership could also own real estate without material participation and take the real estate losses against the profit from the corporation. Are you familiar with this being used? If so, is it legitimate and supported by tax law? Thank you.

These guys are brilliant! If you are a real estate investor and your CPA isn’t familiar with all the nuances (ask if they know the Augusta rule) the IRS tax code has, connect with them!

I love this show! Even though I haven’t taken the leap into REI nor am I a high income earner, “I am digging my well before I’m thirsty” sort of speak! This show cites particular IRC sections and etc! By far one of the best tax shows out there hands down!

I found the episodes on Short Term Rentals especially helpful as they apply directly to the questions I had about these potential tax benefits

I can’t say enough great things about this podcast. I have been investing in real estate for about 7 years and practicing tax for 9 years and I love listening to these guys. The topics are excellent and the manner in which they’re presented is great for green investors all the way to tax professionals like myself. I’m so glad there’s over 100 episodes before I discovered it because I am binging through them quickly!

Taxes come with the territory of RE investing, and this podcast dives into what to expect so you can arm yourself with knowledge. The hosts do an excellent job at tackling tough topics, and there's a ton of useful information in each episode. Would definitely recommend!

I’m a new, small-time, property manager and have found so much useful (and valuable!) information here. Some of the episodes are pretty esoteric and meant for high-net-worth folks, so not so applicable to me, but still very interesting. Highly recommended.

They share awesome bits of info in each episode. By listening to 10 or so episodes I have a much better understanding of real estate tax in under a few hours time.

I’m starting the journey of being a real estate investor. Needed some way to learn about the tax side of things without being too engulfed. This is a great way to learn when I only have about 30 minutes of free time. Very informative.

Brandon and team have definitely found their niche! As the owner or a large property management company and investor myself, I have worked with a lot of CPAs over the years who are good at their jobs but don’t understand real estate. These guys truly get it, and have saved us thousands! I recommend them to all of my friends, family and clients.

My husband and I own a real estate brokerage, also opened an LLC with an investor focusing on flips, and have just bought our first property we intend to hold, rent and eventually sell to buy more rentals. So, we have a lot of questions about how things need to be structured in order to maximize our tax savings. I stumbled across y’alls podcast last week, and I’m so thankful I found you. I can’t tell you how many questions we’ve had that you not only answered, but fully explained. Just listened to my first episode and I subscribed to hear you guys going forward. Great content! Back in 2013, I was audited and the IRS threw out my designation as an active real estate investor because I didn’t spend more than 1/2 of my time on rental properties. You did a great job explaining that rule. (Wish I had listened way back then!) Appreciated you covering the various rules for expensing versus capitalizing repairs. Very clear. Great show.

I love real estate and taxes are generally everyone’s largest expense, when you combine the two you have the potential for great things to happen! with so many real estate podcasts out there now it’s nice having one that is tax focused. Great job Brandon and Thomas!

I love that they provide good tax info based in Real Estate. I a part time health care professional /part time Real Estate investor I find the info more than helpful.

I started following when Brandon was on BiggerPockets. With in a year I switched to him as my accountant because of his Real Estate expertise. He is an awesome accountant and I love the podcast because it makes me think of strategies to discuss with Brandon for my portfolio. Also, just highly entertaining down to earth CPA’s breaking down complex real estate tax strategies into fun conversations.

Fantastic show discussing the strategies and techniques all real estate investors and syndicators need to excel. There is a ton of actionable content!

This is great listening. I’m a CPA myself but I find your podcast insightful, fun and witty.

This is an excellent podcast on tax issues relevant to real estate. Brandon explains rather complex tax subjects in easy to understand terms. Information provided is relevant to current real estate trends and changes in the tax law. I learn a lot both as a real estate investor and tax preparer.

Highly recommend!!!

Brandon's new podcast has quickly become one of my favorites. It's deep, technical - dare I say nerdy - and is giving me a much greater insight into specific tax planning issues. The episode lengths are also long enough without being too long. Highly recommended as being an awesome podcast.

This is a great podcast. Brandon discusses relevant topics that apply to new investors as well as seasoned investors. There is always a tip or trick to learn in each episode. I've listened to all of the episodes so far and have learned a lot. I sure hope he keeps releasing new episodes! I just signed up for the newsletter, I'm sure that will be great as well.
