I was an atheist, and my friend said give Christianity a chance. I love this guy and I struggled, but eventually gave my life to Christ and this podcast has made me a better man. Love this amazing podcast, I pray for its longevity and outreach!!

Jim is constantly stepping up. What an incredible opportunity I’ve had to talk and laugh with Jim. He brings the word of God and relates to so many. I am excited to see where God takes him in the years to come.

I started listening to the podcast after finishing Dialed in. This is perfect for the men in this day and age. More men need to get in the arena.

This for the last three years has been a must have on my play list and not only has it grew me into the man I need to be it has improved my marriage, relationship with my son, helped my wife, good buddy and I start a discipleship ministry and lead me to other great Godly men to listen to so I can become the dangerous man God has made me!

I just finished podcast number 816 with Scar. It was a huge confirmation for what God has been taking me through the last month and a half. You see I had a monster in my life too. One that loomed large and in charge for over 40 years. You see my dad and his buddies used to pass me around and do unspeakable things. As a child I blocked that out and it resulted in me trusting the same man with my oldest child who he proceeded to use as well. 20 years we e of guilt, shame, and unforgiveness came to a head almost two months ago when I received a phone call….it was the monster telling me he was dying. I spent hours not sure how to feel, says on an emotional rollercoaster, and the last month and a half in surrender. I met with my monster to hear him out. I felt God leading me to check on his salvation and come to find out he recently gave his life to Christ. So now the monster is now not only my dad but my brother in Christ and a new being. Long story short God called me to serve the man who spent a huge portion of my life trying to destroy me. Whether it was restoring our relationship, truly forgiving him, lunches, helping him take out the trash, whatever it was I was clearly called by God to serve him. I don’t know if I would have been in place to be able to do this without the influence of Men in the Arena. The things I’ve learned about being a man from this podcast, from Jim personally, his books, or even the MAG group I used to attend; prepared my heart for the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Thank you for strengthening my faith and showing me what it means to be a man of God. I miss you all at MAG and will try and make it out more often.

I stumbled upon this podcast a few weeks back and I use it as a time after I finish working out and I sit in a hot steam sauna and because it’s hot and it’s hard to sit there and endure the heat I find it helpful to listen to the podcast because it gives me something near and dear to my heart to focus on. I find in the sauna while listening I can completely focus on what is being said. It’s part of my quiet time each day and a great way to manage the day. I take this podcast very serious, 6 kids with 4 boys and 2 girls. I find myself applying what I have learned in a short period of time in my marriage and my relationship with my kids. Long time Christian and lover of Jesus but constant learning and growing is a must and this podcast helps promote that. Please keep this show going and I am sharing it with my closest friends.

This use to be the best podcast for Christian Men. The content, the passion, and the podcasts were literally life changing. Recently, the podcasts have lost their significant content, the length is only a few minutes, and they are not truly helpful. Maybe it’s just a season, but for now 3 stars.

This podcast has helped me further and solidify my relationship with God and my family. Before this podcast I was searching for belonging and a church that I can connect with likeminded individuals. If you’re interested in starting or furthering your climb to become a better man this is for you!!

I’ve started listening to this podcast several months ago and after listening to the wisdom that Jim and his guests have blessed us with, my life has been on the upswing. I use to run from responsibilities, but the men here have really helped me to turn around and confront what I’ve been running from, big and small. So much so, that even my wife and family has been making comments about my change. I couldn’t be more grateful for this content and I can’t recommend it enough. Keep up the wonderful work.

I’m very glad to have found this podcast. I’ve been looking for a good Christian podcast geared towards guys for a long time, and Jim does a great job staying focused on the Bible through the interviews. Listening encourages me to keep working at learning more and thinking ahead to how I can best live out my faith in real life.

I really think all the 3-6 minute episodes cheapen this show. I have to sift through the content each time for longer episode. The podcast medium is not meant for 4 minute clips with 2 minutes of intro and ads. I’d guess it’s only done for discoverability reasons If it was only the long form episodes I’d give a 5 star all day long.

The marijuana take that I listened to was absolutely appalling. There are several natural reasons for marijuana and several healing benefits of marijuana and thc. Marijuana is a natural gift from God given to us. Has 0 to do with adultery and sex. That was a giant reach. I get his point of doing it for the wrong reasons like getting completely baked and dumb reasons. I am a Christian and I smoke weed daily to help with my anxiety, stress, and pains. I would much rather smoke a little bit of that then be in antidepressants, opiates, and other chemicals.

Jim Ramos has helped re-build my relationship with Jesus and I’ve never met the man face to face. This is a podcast for men who want to be true leaders and warriors for Christ.

Jim talks to men in “normal talk”. He’s not politically correct, he’s relatable, and he comes from a place of constant learning. He teaching is based from the Bible and from his mistakes.

Google brought this podcast up on my search for Men in the Arena, based on a favorite quote. Started listening a few weeks back and now I can’t stop. Solid teaching biblical and real. So wish I’d heard many of these messages when I was younger. May not have lived it out well to date, but I still have breath in these lungs and until He calls me home .. I’m staying in the arena!

I’ve listened to every episode of this podcast and as a result, myself, children and wife have been profoundly impacted for the better. Jim and his teachings have accompanied me on a near 4 year epic journey of honing myself as a radical follower of Jesus Christ, husband, father, neighbor and coworker. This podcast has shepherded me through welcoming my two youngest children into my family, starting a men’s ministry at my local church, identifying a Silas, Paul and Timothy in my life, joining a church small group, and overcoming lustful sin. I have worked as a correctional officer, social worker and child protection worker and have seen the wake of destruction caused by “males”. I seriously resonate with Jim’s mission of creating an army of men to be the best version of themselves and believe that the world can be changed by one man at a time. I challenge men to be bold enough to get off the bleachers and into the fray; to dare them to become their best versions. It will change you and the people around you as it has for me and my family. This podcast has literally been a Godsend. I started listening to an episode about stopping yelling which directly resonated with my wife asking me to stop for a while as it was having a negative effect on our family. I just didn’t understand as I didn’t think I was. That episode convicted me of my ignorance and shortcomings and helped redirect me to not yell about every little thing and to be more mindful of my tone and my role as a Godly husband and father. Almost brought tears to my face, but I was overcome with emotion. I know I am imperfect. It made me want to be better immediately. I’ve been working on that. My son even thanked me recently for not yelling. I have also been trying to listen to as many episodes as I can to learn and grow more in my faith and as a man for my family. Men in the arena is like a gateway to being a biblical man and father. I was an alcoholic and addicted but almost 5 years ago I got clean. I thought that was enough but through this podcast I have learned how to be on fire for God and lead my family. Rehabilitation from Left Knee Total Knee Replacement Revision 19 November 2019. I am seven weeks out from surgery. This is the hardest physical, mental, spiritual & emotional thing. I have had to endure thus far in my 59 years. The hard part is that theses four areas are cumulative. My wounds from my past are with me in the present. I will persevere Philippians 4:19

I’m not sure how I stumbled across this podcast or what made me decide to listen to it other than it was the will of God. I’ve been on a journey of self improvement for 2 years now and it feels like I reach a point in my journey where the main thing that was left was to grow deeper in my relationship was God; however, I didn’t realize it until God had me listen to this podcast. Jim does a great job interviewing his guests. Since listening to my first episode I have been binging episodes of this podcast, podcast of his guests, and have noticed a huge difference in my connection to Jesus. For the first time I feel like I am doing life with Jesus and part of the credit for that goes to the existence of the Men in The Arena community and their partner organizations.

I look forward to listening to this podcast a couple of times a week. First thing in the morning I do my devotions, then listen to the newest episode. Every episode has been relevant, convicting, and challenging. It’s not a joke to be a man. It’s not a joke to be a husband or a father either. I’ve been a Christian since I was in grade school, I have experienced the various challenges of the walk. This podcast keeps it real.

Such a wide variety of guest interviews that make me a better man, father, husband, employe, and member of my community.

I’ve been married for 8 years, I have two kids. Listening to this podcast has me constantly thinking and rethinking the way my household is run. It’s been instrumental in making me the man my wife needs me to be, as well as being the dad my son and daughter need. Always looking forward to the next episode!

This is truely an inspiration. In a mans world I have been told I’m a “Man”, but really I was nothing. Simply said... this podcast is continuously changing my life and my perspective on what it is to be a man (not just a male, but a true man). I can see this reflected in my personal relationships (family and friends) and even in my public encounters (acquaintances and strangers). This podcast is convicting, yet encouraging and instructional. Every male should be listening to it. I've learned incredible lessons and great new ways to approach fatherhood, being a husband, and being a "man on the roof." The guest speakers are captivating and inspirational. I started listening to the earliest podcast I could and have loved all of them so far. I wish I could listen to them more frequently. If you're a male, a male who wants to be a man, a teen wanting to gain wisdom, or even if you're a man already, this podcast is for you. You won't regret listening to it, and your wife, sons and daughters, and everyone you encounter will notice a difference if you invest yourself into becoming a man. Because when a man gets it, everyone wins!

In a day in age when popular podcast are trying to “ deconstruct” Christian men this is a much needed “Arena”. If your a man who loves God. Is sick of the political world demasculinizing ( my word I think lol) men then you need to hear this. If you been left stranded by popular podcasts that promote breaking down the “ good Christian” or “ Facebook Christian” ( as I like to call them) but now are lost in a world of what do I do now or what IS expected of me as a Christian man, you are in the right place. I now have a book list a mile long I WANT to read on how to be a real man of God in this day in age. I’ve also purchased the Men in the Arena study Bible by Gene Getz and cant get enough of it. Just know that if you “Identify as a man” but don’t know what that truly means this is a great tool to get you started. This podcast will not Change your life. It will give you the tools your Father wants you to have so that HE can change your life as long as your willing to accept the journey.

A quality, meaningful podcast that is a great resource for men. As a 35 yr old father, I find great inspiration and thought-provoking challenges from this podcast. Keep up the great work!

If you want be a man, a Godly man, a true man. This needs needs to be in your kit. Men in the Arena helps equip men to be a Man. It’ll help you examine your life, measure your faults, set fixes for your foundation, find ways to grow to benefit you, your wife, family, friends, and community. Part of the way Jim and Dale do this is also helping you discover numerous ministries out there that are designed for men. It helps remind you that you are not alone in your struggles. All of it teaches great lessons, but it is useless if you don’t bandage your wounds, pick up your sword and shield, take action and get in the arena. No matter what’s going on in your life, through Christ you can change it.

Recently came across this when looking for some Christian perspective on Manhood, Fatherhood, adventure, provision, and all the other adjectives of expectations on places on us. Great info here and sometimes a bit gritty, but real issues require real talk. These are Men who are making the effort to bring in experts to mentor and disciple guys like me who want to do more than just be present but aren’t sure where to start. This podcast doesn’t disappoint and sometimes takes 2-3 listens to unpack all of the knowledge. I appreciate the Biblical foundation of each episode despite the variety of topics. Well done, wish I found it sooner.

I love this podcast! I often used to struggle with my faith. I was first introduced to Jim Ramose at a prayer breakfast at a church in the small town of Mattoon IL. At the time I was not attending church and was trying to do my walk alone. But I knew I wanted to be a better husband, father, and man. My brother really wanted me to attend a prayer breakfast. This is where I heard Jim Ramose’s sermon Men on the Roof, and the following Sunday the power of a parents words. I started listening to this podcast and attending Church and men’s group regularly. My life and walk with God is truly better than it’s ever been. I have given my testimony and currently trying to help other men find God. I cannot express my gratitude and thanks. After over a decade of podcasts, books and conferences on a Believer’s pursuit of manliness, I am thankful to have found The Men in the Arena podcast series. Currently, playing old episodes, the material is timeless and always applicable. I enjoy the format of having expert guests that bring a new perspective every week.
