Their sarcasm of our Chicago teams’ efforts is very welcome to my no-longer-living-in-Chicago ears. Listening to the podcast is reassuring because it isn’t just me when I watch said Chicago teams and scream “god dammit!” Plus, every now and again, the guys will reference Rush or Idiocracy - all the more reasons to listen.

As a Chicago sports fan, this is my favorite podcast. Just normal, smart views on the local sports scene. A great mix of fandom with journalistic polish—not trying to have some clickbait hot take, and not jaded from working on the inside for years. Feels like you are in a room with your buddies chatting about your favorite teams. Not to mention good musical taste.

Just a good listen to some normal(ish) fans chatting about Chicago sports present and past. They talk about Chicago sports and media the way you would with your friends. They’re still the Real Fans’ Program. …. Certainly none of them will talk like they’re best friends with Patrick Mahomes or that they embody some Rock n Roll Baseball Holy Spirit looking to smite your anti-romanticism and realism

Been a Hawks fan since the early 80s, and this is my favorite team-related content by far. When dealing with analysis the info is valid & insightful, and when it digresses there is high comedic value. Definitely helps maintain a touch point while living away from Chicago since 2003. Keep bringing it.

They should have that AJ guy on more, he’s awesome. Sam is a closet Dave Matthews fan.

The FFUD crew is the best content related to the Blackhawks there is. Fan for over 10 years and have always found their insight refreshing and irreverent. The audio could be improved and Sam has a face for radio and a voice for print (best of luck Mr Fels, you will be missed).. but they do not have 13 ridiculous ads for crap suburban restaurants either. Keep up the great work.

The content of this podcast, when it can be heard, is usually very good. However, the audio mix is amateurish at best.

Or something. Fun content if you can stand the audio. At least I can hear Matt. The other mikes are just bad.

Many chortle-inducing barbs of wit from the clever team behind the Faxes From Uncle Dale website. As with their website content, their podcast is not typically intellectually honest. Their biases toward or against players/coaches/ideas are a double-edged sword—funny, but also a barrier to informed discussion. Sam and John could do this talking head thing professionally—they are that good. Matt is so eager to unleash his snarky interjections that he rudely shouts his regular interruptions in his biting Suburban Chicago accent, often clipping the audio in his eagerness to be heard. My ears hurt—please supply this man’s microphone signal with an audio compressor/limiter. The other co-hosts are fine, but it would be nice to have someone with dissenting views in the lineup. The podcast episodes, as with the website articles, live in a groupthink bubble.

I like the guys and enjoy the content, but the audio is terrible, makes it hard to listen to.

Being a Hawks fan in St. Louis, it's always tough. Obviously, the media here is geared toward the Blue Note, so it's nice to hear this podcast weekly about my team. I use the names "Jay Gallon" and "Jabe O'Meester" frequently much to the chagrin of Blues fans!

I am always waiting to hear what the Faxes From Uncle Day crew have to say about the latest Blackhawks news. They have the most knowledgable viewpoint on what is good, bad, and superfulous with this team. Basically, they are the smartest guys talking Blackhawks. If you care about the Hawks, you should listen to what they have to say.
