I really like this podcast BUT it makes me crazy when I listen to a few in a row and the first TEN a minutes of each is the same talking, advertising, free bundles, etc. I understand some of that has to happen, that’s fine, but this podcast is almost as much “fluff” as actual conversation and I often find myself skipping through a lot of it.

I love this podcast! It’s always so encouraging and makes me feel more confident in the desire and call to raise my daughters naturally. Thank you!!

When my kids were younger. I feel I did so much wrong, but one in the military (we are in Taiwan), one in sophomore music major at college, 12th and 8th graders...3rd grader at small country school. So happy for these next generations, but wow!!! So much I wish I did! Keep helping unschoolers!

I really enjoy this podcast and the way W&F encourages homeschoolers. Jennifer Pepito is awesome at engaging the guest and I love hearing her perspective as well. It almost feels as if I’m eavesdropping on a coffee shop conversation between friends. I do feel let down by how inconsistent the podcast is though. It seems they only release new content when they are trying to sell something or raise funds. I don’t mind the peddling as I understand making a living but it feels inauthentic when episodes are so sporadic and seem to air only when a product or event is being marketed.

I just found this podcast and I love it! I’ve been implementing some things they’ve said, and life with 4 kids, 6 and under, has been so enjoyable, relaxing and memorable. I’ve been playing more with the kids, reading an hour every day and spending hours outside together. Love getting out of the “homeschool routine” that I was stuck in and finding that we can learn outside of textbooks! Thank you for the encouragement! I started at Episode 1 and look forward to listening through them all, currently at episode 10 :)

This podcast is amazing, inspiring and soothing to listen to. I am not a homeschool mama...yet..but I work very closely with kids and I find this podcast super helpful! I love it so much, it also makes me look forward to when I have my own kids and can homeschool them!

I’ve listened for about 3 months now and really feel this podcast is well organized and the topics thoughtfully curated. The interviews, while inspiring, seem to lean slightly more towards addressing an audience that is more than typically anxious, overwhelmed, or defeated. While I get homeschooling the wild and free way is an act of courage, maybe keep the references to fear, struggling, or self-defeat to a minimum. Also, consider having more than one interviewer. Finally, I would love to hear diverse perspectives regarding wild and free lifestyles that include more cultures and socio-economic contexts beyond Western, or Christian, or Farmhouse culture. Otherwise, this is truly one of my favorite podcasts and I never get tired of listening!

I’ve listened for the past 3 years now and I’ve never made it through a single episode without tearing up 😭 It is truly life giving. I recommend wild + free to every momma! I’m so thankful to be poured into by these wise women paving the way! Thank you for this resource!

Thank you so much for the last podcast. I have listened to Wild+Free for about two years and it has changed my homeschool way of life so much. I too changed my whole outlook on reading a while back and my daughter has flourished. I quit trying to check off boxes and watched her learn how to read all on her own. We had always read out loud since my daughter came (we adopted her) but I didn’t see the benefits of that until it just clicked in her brain. She too reads at an advanced level and I had nothing to do with teaching her that. We just read and read together. So refreshing.

Absolutely love the voices, Perspective, and encouragement found on this podcast. A countercultural message away from the typical striving and anxiety of the traditional school system through the beauty and simplicity of homeschooling in the modern world.

These women are relatable, real, uplifting and so full of love. As a mostly stay at home mama of three little ones - the oldest of whom is preschool-aged - I’m probably jumping the gun a bit on learning about homeschooling. ;) But ever since learning about wild and free, I’m so intrigued. I can’t stop listening and feel like each episode equips and inspires me, not just for future home educating, but for right now, especially in this pandemic. We’re spending lots of time at home, playing outside, gardening... and I’m seeing my kids and the world with fresh eyes because of this content. Thank you.

I feel like no matter what style homeschooling you do you will be able to find peace an understanding in this podcast. I was so grateful when my friend shared wild an free with me. This is year two and I go back an repeat these podcasts all the time for the encouragement and reminder that I need to keep moving in the right direction for our family. I love this podcast! It has the exact right thing that I need when I’m having a rough day in my homeschool with my kids. I always take away wisdom from every single episode. While rigorously studying the Charlotte Mason method, I was on the path to becoming a “purist” without even realizing it. While this is perfectly fine for some homeschool families, it began to feel like a standard I personally couldn’t achieve on a consistent basis. As a result, I felt guilty most days for what I perceived as failure. This podcast has given me the balance that I needed, granting me “permission” to simply live out our school days learning in a way that is natural for our family. Some days the “method” is thrown out the window, but that’s ok! Through this podcast I have come to realize I don’t want to create geniuses according to the world’s standards. What I want is for them to have a happy childhood, to grow up loving God, appreciate the beautiful handiwork of His creation, and never stop learning!

I look forward to every single episode that comes out and it’s like salve to my mama heart. The way these women build us and one another up in this beautiful calling of motherhood and homeschooling just makes me so thankful and I literally tear up and stop what I’m doing (usually cleaning) at just about every episode at some point. You know that friend that when you are struggling, they just really get you and know exactly how to encourage you where you are at and inspire you to something more? This podcast is such a mix of inspiration, encouragement, new ideas, things to think about, a fresh perspective, laughter, and its lovely to listen to.

I have to say, I am not a huge podcast fan but this one is changing my mind. I have binge listened to all the episodes over several weeks and now I am on fire for this homeschooling journey our family is on! I am not new to it, but I am definitely still figuring out my approach and reassessing my goals each year. This podcast has shifted my perspective so much and I’m so excited to implement the nuggets I've gotten out of it. Please keep making more, I love the conversational style. Now I just need to start listening with a notepad and taking notes!
