HelstahToo heavy on feminist theory for meI’m a female, I worked in a male-dominated industry (financial services management consulting), and I personally wasn’t on the receiving end of sexism. I know, I was lucky? But I guess that’s why I can’t last through the ten minutes of feminist theory when I’m trying to learn how to make decisions. Ironically , I just lectured someone today in a different forum about why it’s not racist to try to support black owned businesses …. the long history of racism in America and the toll it’s taken, yadda yadda yadda. So I don’t know why I feel this was over the top. I may rethink, give me a few weeks.

CamnmartinezNot what it used to beI listened to this podcast on my walks and learned some great things. It began to become a little more like click bait/ advertising. You think your listening and will find out ways to help yourself but it’s more so asking if you identify with xyz- then telling you to buy the book, course, or special membership/club. The first several minutes are her just telling you all the great success she’s had with her business, book, wedding planning, etc. Unfollowing after many years.

Lucy M.PLove this podcastKara is brilliant, I’ve been following her on IG for years and recently have binged her podcast. This is a must listen for anyone who is working to shift their mindset and let go of society nonsense that is messing with their brain ❤️

HollyHeatHard to Listen to UptalkI scrolled the topics and found one I was excited in which to listen, only to find out the speaker is an uptalker. It’s very distracting and gives her less credibility when talking on feminist topics. I am saying this as constructive criticism as I too have been criticized for communicating in ways that portray me as not as confident or less credible (I.e. talking with my hands often).
-
caputlacIt’s just marketingI used to love this show. Lately it’s just been short blips marketing to buy the course. Quit wasting our time and just buy an advertisement.
-
SkittlesmuncherLife-ChangingI’ve done a lot of therapy and coaching, yet Kara always surprises me with nuggets of things I didn’t know before. Or that I didn’t see due to my socialization as a woman.
-
Lindsay MargaretOnce was great but now it’s just a marketing toolThis used to be a very helpful podcast, but now it’s just marketing for her new business and asking people to sign up for something or buy a book. I understand that she needs to monetize the podcast, but I wish there was a variety of ways for those of us who don’t want to purchase the whole program.

annna_83838728BookI see how your book will be about self help books but I would like to see these same chapters in your podcast. As well as having your book in huge sales places like barnes and noble, amazon, etc/ which might 🤫 ,increase sales.

byesiesNot helpful-aggressive sellingI never learn anything. It’s basically “do you identify with xyz, want to learn how to improve? (Yes, that’s why I’m listening) “well I’m not going to help you here you need to but my course and I’m going to read all the reviews for the remainder of the episode!!”

rIVER121one of my favorite podcasts !this podcast has helped so much with my personal development and dating life as well as helping with better managing stress at work

h1984cMakes it simple. And it kinda is when you think about it. I’m a spiritual person. I think. I like to look for my meanings and messages. This podcast isn’t it. What this is, is what the other part of my brain needs to hear. The simple breakdown of, I allow myself (or not) to feel what I feel, think what I think, and everyone else also has that right also. I don’t.. but I love this podcast in my rotation because it’s what brings it all to the here and now for me… no past, present, future, alternative timelines. Rather my thoughts, my actions right now.

BP WriterGreat podcastRecently found this podcast and am enjoying it! Episode 312 with guests Dr. Adrienne Mann and Dr. Tyra Fainstad about their peer-reviewed research study was fantastic! Finally! Someone has proven scientifically that coaching actually works to dramatically improve self compassion, burnout, anxiety, among so many other things. So much helpful information in this episode!

Nikki1492Upselling all the timeHer good episodes are quite spotty. Most of the time she’s obsessively and forcefully trying to sell her course.

Trish111018Most helpful resource I’ve found in yearsThis podcast has helped me so much. I’m autistic and have always struggled with understanding people and situations, which causes a huge amount of anxiety. Listening to Kara I’ve learned so many tricks for managing my thoughts and have really reduced how much time I was fixating on how I might be perceived. It’s done wonders for my ability to grow professionally.

talemacheAmazing with a capital “A”I wish I would have found this podcast years ago because it would have saved me so much time worrying about what other people think about me at work and in everyday life. In the first few episodes, Kara does an amazing job explaining how to change the way you perceive things by changing the way you think which in turn, changes the way you feel. So simple yet such an amazing insight into how to get out of your head and out of your own way! Thank you Kara 🙌. You really have become an important part of my daily routine, cheers 🥂

StumblettePassThe topics are very wide. I wouldn’t recommend because I find more value in people who specialize in specific areas vs broad range advice. Example, some of these, like relationships, should maybe be more valuable from a therapist, not a lawyer. The same speaks on family and raises and photo confidence. It’s okay advice, but I find it takes 5 minutes into the episodes for the actual topic to even begin. By the end of half an hour, only two tips are given.

mplsjoPayment onlyI started with this podcast a few years ago and for the avg person, helpful. Now it’s all classes. Find a new platform.

clairezabLife-changingThis podcast has positively impacted me so much. I think about these teachings on a daily basis. I am grateful for the ways in which it’s encouraged me to show up more fully in my life, both for myself and for the change I want to see in the world. Thank you!

LAJ in NYCGiant sales pitchToo woke / extremely far left. The podcast is essentially just a sales pitch for her programs, which basically just teach you how to gaslight yourself.
-
CFreddoSuch great adviceAs a mother, the Parent Blame Boomerang episode was so insightful. We never truly realize how many good and toxic traits have been passed down through generations. I have my own experiences that have changed who I am and how I parent, but after listening I will definitely think harder about how what I do and say can affect my daughter.

likethatbutbetterSocial justice as a griftLet’s call this what it is: privatizing social justice awareness for personal gain and calling it a revolution. Also, Kara’s association with the Life Coach School and Stacey Boehman are deeply troubling. Check Reddit if you want to learn more about why.

I haven’t read her book, but as a black woman I appreciate you giving her the platform here. A lot of it resonated with me. Thanks!

RasuelExactly what I neededI just happen to find this podcast when searching for a particular topic on criticizing others. I will say the content was spot on and was exactly what I needed to hear. Moreover, the delivery and depth of knowledge in research helped to reinforce that the information is of good quality and that I can trust what was being conveyed. I will continue to listen to more episodes and look forward to it in the future.

ddfann86Life saving! This podcast didn’t save my life in the physical sense, it saved my LIFE, my living, my well being. A proverbial life preserver when I’m drowning in my own self loathing or fears or insecurities. Kara is honest, clear and concise AND a really gives you practical mental tools to get through the hard things in life. I cannot say enough about this, and I’m excited to continue to grow! RavenMCC68Wisdom tidbits within an hour!I’m learning so much about myself and my friends through this podcast. I’m focusing on changing how I share my “betterment and critical thinking” thoughts with others.

Raychill374The best!I’ve learned so much from listening to Kara’s podcast and I’m very grateful that I found it. Her no-nonsense, logistical, and extremely compassionate approach has resonated with my brain and allowed me to see opportunities to change myself for the better that I don’t think I could have otherwise seen. Thank you Kara!

hansokzIt’s a five for me…Kara is the best friend who is unaware of my actual existence, yet still finds a way to slap me when I need it & comfort me in a sometimes brash - yet oddly satisfying way. She’s guided me through a turmoilous divorce (no you won’t find that in Webster), & has never let me brush off the thoughts that I tend to excuse myself of having in order to avoid feelings of guilt. She’s a bit like the religion you decided you didn’t need after childhood, but then you occasionally sneak into Sunday mass when you’re having a bad day.. except Kara actually makes me feel better than a micro sip of wine & an offering plate full of hymns.

serrizzoLife Enhancing Podcast!Wow! I feel absolutely seen by Kara. This podcast gives you the opportunity to evaluate your life and the way you think. Just by listening I have reshaped how I think around certain topics and have bettered relationships because of it. 10/10 recommend!
-
Carody*CoolI really appreciate the topics and the discussions. I REALLY dislike being called a chicken. It’s kind of demeaning and not very cool. We’re your peers. It’s just kind of disrespectful. I’ll still listen but I’ll fully roll my eyes every time.
-

Ang404NEPractical frameworkKara provides a great framework on how to watch your thoughts and the results they are creating. I so appreciate her willingness to share examples from her own life, and abundance mentality. I have found some other great podcasts through the ladies she interviews. This podcast is a gift to the world.

Kris10 ThomPerfectionist? Pragmatic? Listen NOW!!I just realized I have been listening to this podcast for over a year. I can remember reading the title and thinking yes, unf*cling my brain is exactly what needs to happen. The way Kara talks about things, the way she frames them and describes thought work has been a huge tipping point for my mental health. Simply put, this podcast helped change my life.

Kendra MGEpisode on Loving vs Being LovedWow definitely had a breakthrough or two listening to this episode! Ever time I listen to Kara I realize how much conditioning women have to work through and how empowering it is to have that awareness. Without the awareness, there can be no action to actually address it.
-
bkldfjj22Love Kara and all the info and Insights shared on the podcast.Been listening to the podcast for a year or so and it’s been huge for helping me refrain my mindset on topics I struggle with. So much of what is shared is so relatable and she goes a great job of painting with broad strokes in terms of exclusivity. I can’t wait every Thursday for the new episode to drop
-
RainbowFarmgirlThis podcast changed my lifeYes, seriously! I’m so grateful I found this podcast and Kara’s work. I had been white-knuckling through my life, feeling as if I was barely hanging on. Through changing my thoughts I’ve let go of so much suffering and fear, and I’ve filled the space those consumed with joy and confidence. Every person socialized as a woman should give this a listen.
-
lrr237Amazingly helpful! This podcast is really helpful. I usually find this sort of stuff difficult to put into practice, but Kara knows exactly how to break things down so that you can actually put the techniques to use. Whenever I listen to her podcasts, I feel instantly lighter. I know that sounds dramatic, but it's true. Kara has a way of empowering whoever is listening to make real, concrete progress. I never thought a podcast could be so helpful, but it really is!
-
PinkV27Obsessed with this podcastI’ve listened to episodes so many times to really absorb the lessons & keep blowing my own mind! I love the Clutch as well bc it’s actionable ways to actually change your thoughts IRL! Kara is a genius and an important philosopher of and for our generation. Her work will be renown for ages to come… but what’s most important is LISTENING & improving YOUR LIFE NOW. Love you so much, Kara! We’re besties even though you don’t know me yet 😂.
