    Bookish Comfort!
I’ve been listening for years! An avid reader, I enjoy the book recommendations since I share reading tastes with the hosts. I also love the fun segments like book tech testing, solving reader problems (we readers have so many problems 😂), and author interviews. This podcast promotes the love of reading and bookish life, without shame or judgement. All books are real books, and all reading (print, digital, audio, fanfic, comics, ARCs, etc) is reading!

    My weekly mental relief!
I absolutely adore this podcast. Brea and Mallory both are wonderful hosts who adore books and reading and helping others figure out how to enjoy their best reading lives as well. They are so upbeat, funny , and kind. They are my mental comfort space I eagerly anticipate each week.

    The Best Bookish Podcast!
The best bookish content out there! These women are funny, insightful and provide the best book recomendations. In addition to discoverying new to me authors, they try and review bookish products, answer readers questions and even bring in authors for interviews. If you are sick of basic booktok and Bookstagram recomendations, these are your people!

Love the humor, love the hosts, love the recs. Just love.

    Tacky Women
Sadly they lean so extreme one way on the political spectrum they aren’t able to see through their own “reading” glasses. I listened for a while hoping to just skim over their political bias, thinking it would smooth out or I could just let it roll and we could talk about *gasp* good books! Not the case. Unfollowed and encourage everyone else to be wary (over half the country will also find this podcast trashy). There is a way to run a podcast that appeals to all readers (I follow them all) and there is not that podcast. Yikes.

    Love it!
I have listened to this podcast for a few years now and I love it. I wouldn’t classify myself as a typical Glasser, but I’ve read more fantasy than I ever did before just based on Brea and Mallory’s excitement and description of a book. They have taught me and my partner that it’s ok to “drop that book” if we are not enjoying it. They give great book advice and it’s like listening to friends talk about books.

New studio = tinny echos and mouth sounds😬
This is and has been one of my favorite pods overall (not just bookish) for years , but the January 23, 2025 episode recorded in the new studio has a very different audio quality than we are used to. It’s echoey and tinny at times and the mics are picking up every mouth sound. I really hope that this isn’t for always because it’s what could make me ditch this pod.

    Ended my book pod slump
I’m so glad I found Reading Glasses! Some of my other book pods were getting a bit stale, and this is the fresh and delightful reset I needed. Hosts share about a variety of books and offer smart, funny and accessible insight about bookish topics. So many good recs! My TBR hates to see a new ep coming, but I love it!

    Great!
Love this podcast! Since I discovered it maybe 2 years ago, I have made it though their entire back catalogue. The hosts are delightful and they remind me why I love reading

    So good
Such a great podcast about the love of reading. It’s taking a while, but I started at the beginning. Hopefully I’ll be caught up soon!

Why did I wait so long?!
I’ve known of this podcast for a long time but didn’t listen because for some reason I thought it was just about specific books and if I wasn’t reading them it wouldn’t be for me? Idk but that is not the case!! This podcast is for anyone who loves reading. Now I’m spending time bingeing old eps because I want to devour as much of it as I can! Don’t wait, start listening asap!

This would be such an enjoyable podcast if Mallory would reign in the cursing. Why does she think it’s necessary?

The best bookish podcast out there, literally
I’ve been listening to Brea and Mallory talk about the bookish life since episode eight and I can enthusiastically say that this is the best bookish podcast out there, literally. These two awesome women talk about everything to do with the bookish life every week from reading doorways to actually useful book tech. I especially love when they help solve someone’s bookish problem. Give this podcast a listen! You won’t be disappointed!

    The best!!
Even though the books that are in Brea and Mallory’s wheel house are not my wheel house, this podcast is ON POINT for exploring and discussing books and reading life deeply and thoughtfully. I always laugh out loud when I’m listening, and I have learned so much about how to be a more intentional and successful reader— AND helped me learn what being a “successful” reader means to me!! Thank you Brea and Mallory for such a great show that I look forward to every week!

    Love!
I love this podcast. Each new episode is an automatic listen, and I’ve been working through the backlist. Brea and Mallory are delightful-so irreverent, encouraging, inclusive, and funny. A pleasure to listen to!

Where else would you hear of books about horny gargoyles?
Started listening after reading Mallory’s book, Girlie Drinks (highly recommend)…. This pod has opened my eyes to so many new books I may never have picked up before. Love it!

This show reignited my love of reading and I have never read better (or more) before!
I love love love this podcast. The hosts are just so sweet and fun (but also total potty mouths lol) and I could listen to their banter for hours. Have gotten plenty of good book recs from the show but more importantly have learned how to really love reading again, shed my reader guilt, identify what it is in a book that really draws me in and just generally how to treat reading as a form of self care and an important part of my life.

    Delightful podcast
This podcast makes me feel so much better about reading and my reading life. Brea and Mallory are positive and entertaining. This is the podcast I listen to most regularly.

    Love this podcast!!!
I was in a book slump for years but once I discovered this podcast, my love for reading was reignited. And as a bonus, I’ve discovered new genres to add to my wheelhouse. Brea and Mallory are awesome hosts and really make this podcast what it is.

    New favorite podcast!
I didn’t think I needed another podcast, but this is my new favorite! I listen every week as soon as new episodes drop. I keep reading their book recommendations, and it’s helping me branch out more and find new favorites. I feel like I’m getting out of a reading rut, plus I’m getting a clearer idea of what I like and don’t like. Highly recommend, especially if (like me) you feel like you already have too many books on your tbr pile

RG helped me kick my 6-year book slump!
Reading Glasses changed my life. I hadn’t read more than 5 books a year for 6 years due to a very intense period of burnout, despite having been an avid reader in the past. Brea and Mallory brought the exact right balance of gentleness and enthusiasm to get me back in the saddle. They also introduced me to Libby! Having a steady stream of library holds on my kindle that have been endorsed by Brea, Mallory, and their cool bookish guests changed the game for me. I love so many of the books that they suggest, both new releases and older ones that I’d missed during my book slump. I also love their dedication to highlighting works by queer and trans people, women, and people of color, as that’s what I prefer to read. Reading Glasses also got me to try audiobooks after a few guests said they liked them for nonfiction! Now I’ll actually read some nonfiction instead of just liking the *idea* of reading it. I’ve read 29 books in the last 6 months, and while I’ll take some responsibility for my own growth, I couldn’t have done it without Brea and Mallory.

    My Aching TBR
I held off on listening to this pod for a long time because I was worried it would expand my already bloated TBR list. Well, it did, but it’s totally worth it. Brea and Mallory are great and I’ve learned about a bunch of new authors through them. Plus I’ve gotten better at putting down books I don’t like without feeling like I have to finish them.

    My favorite podcast
This is my favorite podcast. I listen to pods and books while I work and this one I listen to first thing every Thursday. This is a podcast about books without being about reviews. I love it.

If you like reading fun fiction for and by femmes, you’ll like this podcast
This podcast is very girly and I absolutely love that. Very plugged into the bookish femme sphere of online reading discourse. They gave me recommendations for books and authors I left on my TBR pile for years before hearing their take on this. I recommend it to everyone I meet and see reading a book!

    Rediscovered love of reading
Found this show because it was advertised on another Max Fun show and loved it from the first ep! Even though my taste doesn’t overlap with Mallory and Brea too much, I still find so much joy listening to them talk about books and reading every week! Listening reignited my love of books and got me back into books and reading after a years long hiatus.

Love Mallory and Brea!! Thanks to them for making me laugh while listening to every episode, for the fantastic book recs, and for helping me be at peace with the fact that I will die with a TBR list, lol. They celebrate all reading styles and speeds - even if you only make it through one book per year, you can still find value in Reading Glasses. Thanks for your podcast, fearless ladies!

Reading Glasses is my spirit podcast!
I love Brea and Mallory and the Reading Glasses podcast so much! This podcast is so much more than book recommendations (thank goodness—my TBR can’t take it). I love all of the bookish episodes. I feel like I have finally found my people!

Great laughs & leads on reads
Count me a HUGE fan of Mallory and Brea. In fact, this is my fave book pod, and I listen to lots of them. Mallory and Brea have unbeatable chemistry. They offer refreshing, often amusing, takes on the reading life. Best of all, they’ve led me to amazing authors in genres I didn’t even know I would love. Brava!

    So much fun!
Having just discovered this awesome podcast a week or so ago, I’ve gone back and listened to at least a dozen older episodes on my drives through rural East Tennessee. This is THE place to hear about great books, bibliomania, reading culture, and all your questions about the same. Hosts are hilarious and irrepressible.
