    Amazing
I thought this was a really compelling musical told through a fresh new medium that isn’t done all too much. The characters were compelling and interesting although one thing I really dislike is the lack of the clarity that is provided throughout the show which hinders the enjoy-ability just a bit, but still I really loved it

    36 questions
I truly love the musical, “36 questions”. This is the future of musicals. This musical was full of genuine, heartfelt emotion. The acting was incredible and the singing was amazing. I love the idea of the plot and just the plot in general, the sound effects were also top tier!! This is one of the best musicals I have ever listened to, 10/10 would definitely recommend!!

    Love it
The music was impeccable, the feelings that the voice actors put it into the role was great. Most the songs are in my playlists. Love the songs and the storyline. I think the voice recording idea was a very creative and unique ideas. Over all it’s a 5/5.

For the record, this musical is very good. Oh, and for the record, Jonathan Goff shouldn’t have forgiven Jesse Shelton.

    YOU WONT REGRET IT.
listen to this musical omg. it’s so good, and it’ll get the soundtrack stuck in your head, especially “for the record” lol, i find myself singing it in my sleep— at first i was like “this is a cool idea but i don’t think they could actually pull it off because how do you have a musical without the sight part of it?” but after listening i want to write my own podcast musical—they did it so well omg— five stars 100%, go listen to it right now! at least the first act—because then you’d be hooked! :D

    LOVED
Okay I loved this I’m big on musicals and podcast and I loved how this mixed. Some little details I loved: 1.the sounds (you know like a door opening) 2. The characters ( they felt so real) 3. The music (these songs will no play rent free in my head my favorite is answer 36) 4.the emotion (just way had me in tears) Anyway it was really good and I’m so happy I found it I recommend it to anyone who breathes that’s it

    The two most likable voices
I don’t think I’ve ever heard two more likable protagonists. I loved every minute of this and can’t wait to share it with everyone.

    Something Different
I’m not the type to usually get into musicals nor can I even name more than ten. This musical checks off all the boxes for me and is unlike anything else I’ve heard. I definitely recommend listening if you want something that flows out easy. 36 questions just works, maybe not for Jace and Judith, but for me it does.

    Awesome surprise.
I’m not sure how, but the song “our word” made its way into my playlist on YouTube music. I’m so glad it did! This is an awesome show. I definitely got lost in it one day at work. I’m a baker so kissing my self in their story while I made things was great! Very much worth a listen.
  • Whitenitro77
    Great show
Heard some of the music on TikTok and found out it was a musical. Immediately listened to the whole thing. Emotional roller coaster that is acted very well. Overall very well done and worth the listen!
  • jillmycat
    I love this!
It’s done really well and I only just found out how this is a whole thing, I’ve been listening to the cast album. The acting is very good and of course the singing. I would suggest this to my friends 👍

Made me remember. Good podcast. I would recommend it to anyone.

good acting, unmemorable songs, awful message
apple podcasts recommended this to me, and having enjoyed gimlet’s the two princes, i decided to give it a shot. the first act was pretty compelling, and both jonathan groff and jessie shelton are wonderful performers. the second act was a lot more boring, and by the third act it was legitimately awful. as you’ve probably read in other reviews of this podcast, it showcases an extremely toxic (borderline abusive) relationship. i have no problem with toxic relationships in art, but i do have a problem when they are presented as normal, healthy, and loving. that’s where this show fails. judith and jase should not, under any circumstance, have ended up together. it is so not okay that judith’s gaslighting and lying were excused. other than that, the music kind of all sounded the same, at least to me? jessie shelton’s voice could be somewhat grating sometimes, but that’s also personal preference. all in all, i think there are better podcast musicals out there (like season three of the two princes! i would totally recommend that one!) that don’t glorify harmful behavior and relationships.
  • jesspurse
    Well done but
Obviously, the voice actors were great, but there was no character to root for. Judith's backstory was hazy, and the addition of Cooper didn’t make sense. No idea why Jase even wanted to apologize.

You don’t have to keep listening, she never redeems herself
This podcast kept me hooked....just to see if the female character ever redeems herself. Spoiler alert: she doesn’t. The subject matter of this podcast is VERY problematic. I urge anyone that gave this podcast a high rating to consider what they might have felt while listening to this podcast if the roles were reversed. If the husband was the narcissistic, gas-lighting, unrepentant stalker...at what point would the wife that kept trying to leave call 911 or get a restraining order? Other reviews have given more details, so I won’t go into it, but wow was this bad....
  • Annakate93
    Incredible!!
Two up does it again!! Everything they make is amazing and SO creative, and 36 questions is no exception. Funny, clever, sweet, sad... the voices of the actors are amazing!!! So so good!
  • Drofittepmd
    Can't wait for more!! ✨✨✨
Absolutely amazing!!! 😍😍 But I definitely need more than 3! This musical reminds me why music is so important and that the imagination is limitless. Much like the Hamilton soundtrack and movie stays on repeat for sudden and Blair if bursts of song, 36 questions has that same rotation!! Although I discovered 36 questions when it first released, I still until this day have it on constant replay!!

    Totally obsessed!!!
Incredibly well-written & composed. The plot was interesting, the dialogue was very relatable, the character’s emotions shone through in their monologues/ dialogues and songs. The voice actors’ voices were so perfect for the instrumentals. I fell in love with the characters. I could listen to it many times over without getting bored.
  • Grizzpaul11
    Great idea
I like the idea. It kept me interested enough to finish. There were a lot of parts I didn’t like and the third act fell off. It also felt to me that the music was trying to be like the Last Five Years. I do like her voice
  • lou_wolf
    I NEED CLOSURE
Ok so I’m obsessed with this I really wish this musical got the love it deserves. It’s driving me crazy that I don’t find out what happens with Jase and Judith after though. I feel like some kind of quick like google doc with what the producers think happened with them would be like super cool
