Terri-N-BoyzStrong, thoughtful voice for today! If you are seeking bold truth in today’s chaos, Alisa Childers is a must follow. She is well researched, thoughtful and clear in expressing a biblical world view to help guide you through our troubling times.

JbnordinThank you🙏Thank you Alisa for your faithful service to our Lord Jesus and to the building up of His church speaking truth in such a loving kind manner. I have been so blessed by listening to you on this podcast 🙏🥰

RES-OCUsually love the showAlisa, I almost always love the show. I appreciate your content and how the guests you have challenge my biblical worldview. I am a mom raising 3 kids and I love how your show offers wisdom and insights that I can pass on. However, today I listened to your episode with Katie Faust and I was very disappointed. I found her to be incredibly hard to take. She lacked any grace and compassion, and she is not going to win over converts if she tells hurting people that their hurt is selfish. Infertility is an incredibly lonely and painful process. Adoption can be heart breaking. Unwanted children hurt and suffer. Divorce is painful and broad. The world is so full of hurt. We should be leading the hurting to Jesus, not telling them to deal with it and redirect.

everlymamaAbsolutely love this podcastI have learned so much from Alisa’s podcast over the years that I have been a listener. Her sound and biblical approach to every subject she discusses is beautiful to hear and her humble spirit is refreshing in this age of “celebrity” teachers.

13megmagGlitch to work out?For some reason every time I try to listen it says “episode unavailable” (old and new ones the same). Other posts are working ok so maybe there’s some glitch…I thought it would be good to mention so y’all are aware of it

Nate3667C. Yuan and R. ButterfieldI used to be subscribed to the Alisa Childers podcast, but I have recently unsubscribed because of recent interviews with Christopher Yuan and Rosaria Butterfield. I have respect for the work Alisa, Christopher, and Rosaria have all done and are doing. I believe they have a heart for Jesus and his kingdom. So it saddens me to hear their recent discussions regarding Preston Sprinkle. Their calling him a “heretic” and “progressive Christian,” misrepresentation of his character and work, and refusal to have a good faith discussion with him are all characteristics of pride. I will continue to recommend Alisa’s book “Another Gospel,” but I cannot recommend her podcast if this tone towards fellow believers continues. In my opinion, all three owe Preston a discussion and an apology.

SarahMay2011Consistent approachAlissa and her guests have a consistent approach, seeking to stay true to God’s Word. It is difficult and unpopular, and as the Megan Basham episode relates, we must contend for the faith. It is an active fight, and I thank you, Alissa, for bringing great podcasts with humility and focus on God’s Word.

AnnaMK28Hope-filled, Logical, AccessibleThank you for speaking about the most current challenges facing our culture and our faith in a way that is concise, understandable, logical, and filled with the Hope of the Gospel! I have been listening for 4 years now and God has used your show to engage my heart and mind in His truth.

SouthernBella319Love the content - too many commercialsAbsolutely love Alisa and the content that she brings. I wish there weren’t commercials/sponsor breaks every few minutes of each episode.

Rwarren23Truth and integrityThank you for providing a true and courageous look at Christian issues. In a time of partisan politics in the Church, we need an honest and unbiased voice to clear out the clutter.

Jerey95Fear based contentLoved this podcast for quite some time, faithful work and great content over the years. However, the nature of the show has changed from informing, to fear-fueled gossip. It hasn’t been clear, has not been kind, and has not been proclaiming the gospel. Progressive Christianity needs to be rooted out, and that starts in humility across the board. Focus on the Father, focus on the holy word. Please don’t misdirect anger towards other believers, and generate content on fear.

kris_tofferEpisode #241The truth is this couple's experience is not shared en masse. I was on staff with Cru for 10 years. I have close friends who have been on staff for twice, three times as long. From what I've been told there were several staff who voiced concerns without getting "fired." And no one was ever told from up front to keep the content from their pastors. This couple's concerns aren't invalid. But Cru is the largest missions organization in the world. It would've made this episode more robust to have included another voice that managed to voice their concerns while remaining on staff with the organization.

Mexicolover185/5 ⭐️Alisa Childer’s podcast is by far in my top 3 favorites! I have learned so much and been encouraged to stand up for the precious Word of God.

dbsx77Charitable and Concise!I have been a long time listener of the podcast and even though I have gone through seasons where I don’t regularly listen, it isn’t long before I binge to catch up on all that I missed. Alisa’s perspective is refreshing and she is very skilled at explaining and defending Christian theology. I really admire the way she conducts interviews and organizes her episodes. She is intelligent, yet remains accessible and encouraging. I also appreciate her charitability towards opposing beliefs and arguments. She is principled, yet gives a fair hearing.

Mark C 95Investigating the African ChurchesI love your show. So my church is just coming through the horrible divisiveness within Methodism. One of the interesting things I learned in this period of strife I thought pertained to show #250–the Africans in the Methodist Church were the majority in number and also hold the most traditionally “evangelical” views. Many are now leaving, at great cost to their ministries, as the church liberalizes. They fought within the denomination for very biblical principles and very traditional stances on things like sexuality, creation, and the family. How funny if they were accused of being part of the “white evangelical church“ by critics here in the United States?! Might be worth having a guest on from Africa. Many of the African delegates to the Methodist General conference in the past two conferences have been treated as ignorant by white, progressive liberals within Methodism.

k nienWant to like it moreThe content (subjects, theology, information) is all real good. But Alisa out talks her guests too much. By the end of an episode I feel like I’ve heard her build up to a question for 5-6 min and then she interrupts the answer after about 90 seconds with her “story” or opinion or interjection. So, I’ve sort of given up. I tune in to hear her host an interesting guest. The best hosts let their guests shine.

maman abeilleThis is Christianity?Someone else said it perfectly. Listening to this podcast doesn’t make me feel like a better Christian, it makes me feel like a judgmental and hateful Christian. Very “Us” versus “Them”. If this is the kind of Jesus you believe in, no thanks.

Somewhere_In_OregonGrace and TruthAlisa is a salty Christian, salty as in “salt and light.” We all need to be salty Christian’s sharing the truth with grace- which is exactly what Alisa does on this podcast. She always points back to what the word says. Time and again it baffles me how God uses her to speak to whatever situation I’m in. Her podcasts are truly a blessing. Whether it be about gospel, progressive lies, sexuality, womanhood, and so on. It is always a truly a gift. Makes me sad to see such opposition towards Gods word in the review section.. :( Yet I would like to see a negative claim with specific instances that are proven 100% because I think they would be found false haha. Prayers for you and your ministry, and your family. Lots of love! -Portland Oregon

HitTheSnoozeThe ads are getting out of controlI have enjoyed this podcast for a while now, but I’m noticing “ad creep.” The ads are getting longer and more plentiful, and these days, in an ad-saturated culture, I have decreasing tolerance for advertisements.

Babs ZLove this Podcast!I so look forward to this podcast every week! I love Alisa Childers style and approach to talk about the hard things yet she doesn’t waiver from the truth of the Bible. God is using her to bring light to a dark world. My daughter( who is not a believer yet) has been listening to your podcasts too and they are making an impact.
-
roryefreeSmart, crisp, thoughtfulSuch a smart, crisp, thoughtful voice of wisdom. Alisa Childers takes great care in choosing her words, her guests, and her posture. I have learned tremendously listening to this podcast. And for the things on which I may not entirely agree, her love and humility are so apparent, I feel no offense. I am very grateful for this sister and her kingdom work. Lastly, I appreciate that you can have little knowledge or great knowledge as a listener. She dives deep but explains and defines along the way.

akelaMomTRUTH!!So thankful I have found this podcast. I first read/ listened to Another Gospel. That book was so eye opening! In gang book both this podcast and Mama Bear Apologetics podcast. I listen to both each week. Thank you for your work!!

AdamAppleTechMay Get Some Things Accurate…Beware of MisleadingIt’s good that she talks about important issues affecting Christianity in America, but much of that good work is ruined in bad faith when she entertains misleading and slanderous conversation that puts words in other leaders mouths. False equivocations could flow freely, and she seems to be unfamiliar with what is recognized orthodox Christian church history. A very bad thing because she talks as if she’s confident she is saying everything as fully true. Does not offer respectful dialogue regarding some topics and seems to only megaphone thinking that aligns with all the views she may hold.

ErinCastChristopher Yuan episodeI was very saddened to hear how Preston Sprinkle and his ministry was characterized in this episode and then even more so that after he reached out he was ignored this far. There were many logical fallacies in the arguments and reasoning of the episode and gross generalizations and mischaracterizations of people (like Preston) that were wildly inaccurate. Please follow up with Preston rectify this for the sake of unity in the gospel.

CKStokedThis is a new favorite of mineAlissa Childers always has such interesting choices for guests and asks great thought provoking questions. The episode on Gentle Parenting was so thought provoking and Gospel based.

Bug eatersMaturing My FaithThe level of instruction from Alisa’s guests are high level and transformative. I come away from an episode stronger in knowledge and understanding of scripture and they way we should apply Truth to our witness as the CHURCH of Jesus Christ.

TRGFEBChristopher Yuan/Alisa ChildersRegarding the podcast you did on sexuality and then following up with listening to Preston Sprinkle, I was dismayed to hear that you did not have a conversation with Mr. Sprinkle before labeling him a heretic. It would seem that it would be important to at least seek to clarify his views on this important subject before airing your opinions publicly. As a mother of a gay son, I have been to an event where Mr. Yuan and his mother spoke, have read all of Rosaria Butterfield’s books and have read Preston Sprinkle’s books and attended his Exiles conference and have found value in all of them. I find it a bit disingenuous that you call him out publicly without personally engaging with him. While I appreciate you seeking to present subjects important to the Christian community, I question your integrity in presenting a full picture of what you are discussing. You can do better.

mattbrowntownNopeAsk yourself this question after you listen to this podcast. Am I a more loving and compassionate human being after hearing this? Or am I more fearful and anxious after hearing this?

James.AlexanderReview of Episode with Christopher Yuan - A Missed Opportunity for Graceful DiscourseIn the recent podcast episode featuring Christopher Yuan, the intent to delve into significant and sensitive topics within the Christian community was clear. However, the execution was regrettably flawed and, at points, troubling. The discussion led by Alisa and Chris unfortunately veered into what resembled a character assassination of Preston rather than a fair or thoughtful critique of his viewpoints. Alisa, in particular, seemed to engage in creating strawman arguments, presenting oversimplified or misrepresented versions of Preston’s beliefs, which did not accurately reflect his teachings or public statements. This method of argumentation not only undermines the credibility of the discourse but also dismisses the essential Christian principle of engaging directly and respectfully with those with whom we disagree. The episode’s tone and approach lacked the grace and humility that should characterize discussions about deeply held beliefs. It highlighted an apparent unwillingness to engage directly with perceived opponents, choosing instead to talk about them in their absence, which only serves to polarize rather than reconcile differing perspectives within the faith community. As a listener who values the podcast's role in fostering reflective and respectful conversations, this episode was a missed opportunity to model the Christian virtues of love and understanding. A public apology to Preston would be an appropriate measure to mend the rift this episode has potentially caused and to realign the podcast with its stated commitment to truthful, fair, and constructive dialogue. Moving forward, I hope the podcast will return to its foundational principles of balanced representation and direct engagement, fostering an environment where other Christian voices can be accurately represented and respected.

Ali_PzLove this podcast!I love his podcast but I do not like the commercials. :( I always skip through them. It makes it more difficult when I drive though. Maybe just one or two would be better but not all through the episode. Thanks!
-
TreChristopher Yuan episodeI couldn’t finish the episode. I can’t get past how he is equating “same sex attraction” with opposite sex lust. Just because I am attracted to women doesn’t mean that I have lust in my heart towards women. I’m getting long-winded, sorry for that. I just don’t like the ease at which “heresy” is labeled on Side B theology.

.:Christi:.Top of my playlistI first learned of Alisa Childers from another podcast and then read her book “Another Gospel”. I loved that book and love her podcast just as much. Her content is centered on the gospel. Love love love it!

BroncoBobThankfulI am so thankful for this podcast and I look forward to each and every episode. Alisa has a terrific way of speaking truth Biblically and clearly and I appreciate the way she’s helped me be able to articulate my own thoughts and opinions which I’ve long held but have had trouble expressing.
-
junebug431Clarity with gentlenessI am so thankful God led me to this podcast. I too was raised in a Christian home, went to a Christian school my whole life, then went in to a Christian college. God gave me the spirit of repentance at a very early age and I have never questioned scripture. It is so good for me to know what is current thought in the world and know how to dig deeper to be ready to give answers to the current questions in the world. It is amazingly easy to be deceived in this current climate of the end of the end times.
-
cjliboltChristopher Yuan episodeThank you for talking about Preston Sprinkle. I used to enjoy listening to his podcast but over the past couple years, I have become more skeptical of him and wondered if he was drifting from orthodoxy. I stopped listening completely about 6-8 months ago. It was good to hear your concerns and realize I’m not the only one thinking this. The whole podcast was excellent!
-
BV2447Awesome podcast!I found podcast a couple months ago and I’ve been binging ever since. The host provides great information on Christian apologetics and a wealth of knowledge on a variety of topics. I love how everything is so scripturally-based, well explained and simple to understand. Thank you.

Cannon4747A lot of glitches during playbackWhoever edits this stream needs to make sure the cuts and transitions are smooth. It often jumps around and cuts pieces out. This is the only podcast where that happens.

DPB_2018Love this show!Alisa is such a wonderful example of a Christ-filled woman and I just love ALL of her episodes. Because of this show I learn SO much from both her and her guests. Her voice is calming and you can see/ hear the Lord in her countenance. I especially love the sponsors and I have recently made my first purchase of Seven Weeks coffee because of this podcast. Please up the amazing work for the Kingdom of God!
