I just came across this podcast. I absolutely love it. The host has a warm presence and a lovely voice.

I am having a really hard time listening to this podcast because of the host’s vocal fry and valley girl voice. I am trying to focus on the content, but the voice is so distracting.

The conversations are nuanced yet actionable. Jenna’s curiosity is our gift as she effortlessly draws beautiful wisdom from the guests. Thank you for lifting up many aspects of attachment.

Karen has such love and respect for Michael Trout and the two of shine when they are talking about presence in the therapeutic relationship. Karen, your wisdom and dedication to bringing the premier leaders in the field of attachment is an invaluable contribution to every human who listens. Thank you.

This podcast explores Attachment Theory in and out of the therapy room in a time when we need relational connection so badly. Bravo for bringing forth those who can speak to this.

This podcast is the perfect length of time, has fantastic guests, and the interviewer asks really intriguing, thought provoking questions. I have found it more valuable and informative than most books I’ve read on attachment. It also helps me stay current in new/developing theories, research, and resources. While it is catered to therapists, I have sent several episodes to many parents who find it helpful as well.

A wonderful resource that helps connect theory and practice. Insightful and knowledgeable guests from a variety of professions and perspectives. The host does a great job of guiding the discussion. A must for clinicians that are interested in attachment based practices.

This is an amazing podcast which features cutting edge attachment research applied to clinical practice. Not only is the guest lineup spectacular, but host Karen Doyle Buckwalter is always well prepared for interviews and demonstrates a deep knowledge about the work of each guest. Lastly, as a side note, I love the graphic design of this podcast. Hats off to the entire who put this awesome podcast out there each week!

As an MSW student, this podcast has been a wonderful resource for me in both my scholarly and personal learning. The interviews offer so much valuable information and I have learned so much about attachment theory. I can’t believe this is a free resource! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to expand their knowledge in an enjoyable way.

This has excellent content but I have to fast forward if the host is speaking.

This podcast highlights so many renowned and significant attachment therapists. It offers so much in terms of knowledge and insight. I do wish that the host would ask questions in a more open ended, concise format. Sometimes I feel she talks in circles when she could get out of the way of the people she’s interviewing and just let them talk about their approach. For example asking more questions like - “tell me about….” Or “ can you share an example of…”Can be stated briefly and concisely without a very long and winding intro. I also don’t quite understand why each interview is divided into two different episodes.

I love Karen’s passion and enthusiasm for this topic! She is relentlessly helping us parents and clinicians grow in our understanding of relationships and their impact on wellbeing. I loved the History of Attachment series and find such wisdom and guidance in every episode! It’s the only podcast I faithfully listen to and I am grateful for it!

The guests are excellent. Host’s upspeak does make it difficult to listen to, and only pointing it out because I think if she worked on that, this would be an excellent podcast.

This is such an informative podcast full of amazing information from a variety of different clinicians, teachers etc... The host is amazing and facilitates the interviews so well!

Really tough podcast to take seriously. The host’s rising intonation at the end of each sentence makes every statement sound like a question. When I tune in to hear professionals speak, I expect them to talk like adults.

I am so grateful to have found this resource. As a current foster parent, stepparent, and an educator, it is helping me work through my thoughts and decisions related to our placement and is providing me with a better understanding of the behaviors of some of my students (and my kids). I wish I could spend more hours studying attachment theory - I think it would help me improve in each of my roles.

The content of this podcast is great! The quality of the sound is not great, but if you can look past that I highly recommend!

Great interview with Kenny Miller! I had the privilege of seeing Kenny when he came to St. Louis for training years ago. I loved his developmental model, and, interestingly, I've been doing this kind of psychoeducational training that he mentioned since I started in the late 1990's. I really enjoyed his explaining his evolving model and how he engages the parents. Love your series, Karen!
