    Top notch
I’ve been listening to these guys talk dogs and life in the car for the past 300 episodes. You should do the same if you’re interested in being a better dog owner/trainer, handler, human. The only issue with this which podcast and which is why they are getting a 5 star review is that I’m sad I don’t have more episodes to listen to. The good news is that for 3 bucks a month I can join their Patreon and get access to a giant back log of info and for just a little more a, live Q&A.

    Educational and enjoyable
I am just a pet owner who loves to learn about dog training. I look forward to every episode because there is no telling where the conversation will go. These guys are funny and informative, so much experience that they give away for free.
  • They begged enough for this
Glenn can die today knowing he made a difference
All kidding aside these guys are entertaining and educational. I have nothing to do with protection sports but always look forward to new episodes. Thanks GlenN and Pat ;)

    The Best Dog Training Podcast
Ive been listening for years. It’s been great for when i started dog training my personal dog and while i started professionally training. What i love the most about this podcast is while there’s tons of great practical info, i really appreciate the wisdom and the mental health points that both Pat and Glen bring up. It’s helped me a lot through very rough years and helped me face issues head on and become a better person and trainer.

    Best Dog Pod Out There
This podcast is THE BEST dog podcast out there…honestly just generally one of the best podcasts out there, dogs aside. New episodes are one of the highlights of my week. Anyone who owns a dog should listen to this podcast. So much awesome information just being given away for free, and it’s so inspiring! Pat and Glenn are so passionate about their craft, and it’s contagious. You’ll learn how much fun you can have training your dog, learning about what it loves the most, and using that to help your dog live its very best, happiest life (and your life will be better and happier, too)! Pat and Glenn—if you see this, thank you for all you do. One of these days, I hope to meet you guys and tell you in person how very wonderful I think you both are!

    Great listen!
Hello from Ohio, USA! Absolutely love this podcast. My dog trainer turned me onto this podcast. I have had several highly trained dogs previously. Now raising a Doberman puppy. The information in here is great. I’m hooked. I travel 2 days a week for work (7 hours driving), this podcast makes the drive go so fast. Been listening for 2 weeks and already down 20 episodes and hungry for more. Thank you pat and gene for taking the time to give us so much knowledge! Chuck Pickett

    Just started
Hi, I just discovered this podcast and listened to the first episode today. I really liked hearing Glenn’s dog training back story and am looking forward to making my way through the other episodes. I have two requests, as an American listening to Australian accents: Would you please say slowly, or even spell, the names of people, especially other trainers who you mention or refer to on the podcast? Or maybe list them in the episode notes? Second: Maybe this will be mentioned in later episodes, but could you tell listeners your history with your own dogs? Breed, name, how old at least; and what you’re doing with them now - sports, training - just any information about your own dogs, including the ones you’ve had in the past. But at the very least, what dogs you have now and their breed and age. I really enjoyed hearing about Glenn’s evolution in dog training, but was sorry not to catch the names of the trainers who influenced him. Plus no info at all about his own current dogs - unless he included it but I missed it due to the Aussie accent! 😂 Thank you for a great podcast!! Kathy Carroll California Bay Area

    Love this Podcast!
I started training dogs about 9 months ago, and I cannot express enough how much listening to Pat and Glenn go on about dog behavior, client interactions, and just pushing their brains around has helped me come to a greater understanding for myself. Can’t tell ya how many people i’ve recommended this podcast to. There’s always something relevant I find, some nugget of information I hadn’t considered, or even just shining light on something I straight up wasn’t even aware of. If you have a dog, are thinking about getting one, or just recently became a dog trainer, heck even if you’re just confused there’s something in this podcast for you! Come learn more than you thought you could listening to these two friends blab about their favorite stuff! It’s always a good time. Thank you Pat and Glenn! Hope to see you at a seminar one day!

    Love these guys
Glenn and Pat approach dog training with an amazing level of rationality and they're fun to listen to even when they're not talking about dog training

    Good Overall Content
It’s like sitting around a camp fire drinking beers and talking dog stuff. That’s these two guys. You never know where the conversation is going which is the secret to their success.

One of the best podcasts around. Kills it! From dogs to life, always a great listen.

    Awesome, funny and informative
They are capable of introducing harder topics with both humor and simplified explanations to keep listeners properly informed.

    Love it!
Pat and Glenn put out fantastic information that is relevant both in and out of the dog community. Not only have I learned so much from this podcast, but it has really lit a fire in me to learn again. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone who enjoys learning and laughing because you’ll do plenty of both.
  • Missgoodwines
    Joe Rogans of dog podcasts
No, that's not a compliment. Pat and Glenn are utterly boring on their own, like morning radio show hosts who like to toot their own horns and hear their own voices. When they have good trainers on for interviews, it's worth a listen, but most of the time, they're just an echo chamber of their thoughts and their friends'/idols' thoughts. You're better off going directly to the sources of the information and getting it from them. And now, in early 2021, all they seem to care about is Clubhouse, Instagram, and other social media (where they promote really horrible humans, like the people behind @normthegsd and @khaleesithedobe on Instagram, who are bullies and scammers). I don't know why people think this podcast is so great at this point. Probably because it's trendy. Can you hear my eyes rolling?

Can’t stop listening, great podcast for training enthusiasts
I stumbled on this podcast as I wanted to learn more about box feeding my dog. I’m glad I kept listening to many of the other episodes. I found the hole in my training and it had nothing to do with my dog and everything to do with me. If you want sound reminders of how to be the best possible handler to your dog, this is your podcast. Every episode I’ve learned something that I can improve on to be a better handler and a better support to my dog. Keep it up and thank you for your honesty and advice.

    Amazing!
I recently discovered your podcast and have been loving it so much!! I have dreams of competing in dog agility and becoming a dog trainer one day but currently am such a novice and trying to consume as much information as I can! You both and those you interview have taught me so much and really pointed me in the direction of various trainers and training methods to research. Also I would love if you interview Silvia Trkman on your show!!

    The best
The best resource for infotainment on dog training. Hands down the best resource of free dog training information on the interwebs, and other information you may or may not have been looking for. I look forward to EVERY episode!

    Best (dog) podcast around
The Canine Paradigm is so much more than a podcast for dog industry professionals. It’s totally changed how I interact and understand my pet dog and recognize my own triggers as an amateur trainer. I love how well Pat and Glenn blend the specifics of being “dog people” with just being people and much of what they cover is applicable to all areas of life. Thanks guys!
  • fisher911
    Dog podcast for everyone
This is one of my favorite podcast. Even though it is canine centered it covers a lot human behaviors and psychology as well. The interaction between the host and guests is more of a conversation that organically moves along and isn’t a a scripted commercial, or plug.
  • LoriVu
    Love this podcast!
I’m a relatively new listener. I’ve listened to several episodes over the past few months. Each time I listen I feel like I learn a little more, get a little more insight on dog training and behavior. I’ve just listened to the interview with Grisha Stewart. I have a highly reactive GSD. I’ve tried many things to help her with her reactivity and have had very little success. This episode gives me hope that I will eventually figure out my dog and how to help her! I encourage all dog owners to give TCP a listen whether you have a dog with behavior issues or not; your relationship with your dog can definitely improve!
  • swimgirl1717

    Great stuff
New listener and supporter on Patreon. Had a great time listening to your interview with Pat Nolan. 26 years ago Pat was gracious enough to invite me to train with him for the winter in South Carolina as I was starting my professional retriever training career. He was really the first pro I had been around that got me thinking out of the box because even all those years ago he clearly was thinking about a different approach than many other professionals. From retrievers only to pointing dogs, pet dogs and with them the behavioral issues and now for the past four years a personal involvement with protection/PSA dogs, thanks to Pat I’ve always been out-of-the-box and very intellectually curious about the training process. Other excellent guests and information and I’m looking forward to listening to all of it. Thank you

    Wholistic approach to dog training
I cannot express in to words what this podcast and community means to me. The way this podcast has a wholistic approach to being a better trainer or dog owner is undervalued in my opinion. They talk about everything from how to cope with the stress of being a trainer to the technical philosophies behind different methods. They even have an episode on how to be better at sales! This show continues to push me to be better every episode! Can’t thank you guys enough.

    Great Podcast!
I’ve really enjoyed listening to. And more importantly learning from Pat and Glen. Both have a wealth of knowledge to share. Each is a great trainer in their own right.

Learn how to have fun with your dog
Dogs have been in my life since birth. In my opinion, we are so lucky to get to live our lives with them, and even better, we can train and play with them—build a relationship and learn how to communicate. I’ve reached the point where I’m constantly searching for more information—better information. I’ve found it with this podcast.
  • coooooooolton
Used to be a big fan of the show,
until I started learning more about dog training. For one, I can’t support anyone who feels the need to belittle a 16 year old kid with Autism (Greta Thunburg) to promote their podcast. All the show really is at this point is just a big circle jerk. They have built a cult like following in which everyone believes a certain dog training “system” that I won’t even mention is the end all, be all way to train a dog. You would think, if that was the case, everyone who is competing at high levels in dogsports would be using that system yeah? It turns out that’s not the case. In fact, I don’t see anyone who uses this system doing anything at very high levels. For that reason and plenty of others I won’t be listening to any more episodes.

    I love this podcast.
As a dog trainer who is relatively new to the industry this podcast has provided me with education, humor, support, and motivation. Thank you for helping all of us who are seeking to be better. Also totally worth it to sign up for their Patreon!

    5/5
As an entry level dog trainer with much to learn, I absolutely love the information presented in these podcasts. They have helped me better my knowledge of canine behavior, health, body language, training, and general know-how. I am apply to easily apply tactics discussed to both my own dogs, fosters, and clients. It’s awesome to have a podcast that openly discusses the use of tools without condemning other ideologies. The podcast is well structured and entertaining with a great humor to information ratio in my opinion! It makes my daily commute much more interesting, and I recommend all dog owners to listen, but especially those interested in dog sports or dog training in general. The guests on the show are amazingly knowledgeable and always interesting to hear from just like the hosts. Thank you, Pat and Glenn!
