wolex17894Love the premise...But the host just isn't good at the execution.

Sandycat72929Horrible interviewerWow—I’m genuinely gobsmacked to find how highly rated this podcast is. I almost never spend the time writing reviews but felt compelled to after beginning to listen to Zibby’s interview with Alison Espach on The Wedding People. I was stunned by how rude the host was to her guest, jokingly telling her how the author’s summary of HER OWN book wasn’t quite right and then telling the author what she thought the correct premise actually is. Unbelievable and horrific interviewing.

Marvelous MartyInspiringSo many courageous women writing their truths. So enjoying listening to all of them.

Pen4321Wonderful!One of my very favorite podcasts! Thank you!
-
LindseyStevie75Can’tWanted to love it but couldn’t get past the vocal fry, giggling, and fawning all over the guests.

Speechteach6On Being Jewish NowThis specific podcast is so powerful. . . Essentially for someone like me, who is not Jewish. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can’t wait to read the book.

fan ldl10 stars!Just discovered this podcast. Love the ones with authors I’m already familiar with and really enjoy, yet have been introduced to so many new authors that I never heard of but are really good!!

Jenn807Love it!This has become my number one way to find new books to read. She does a great job interviewing authors and picks from a variety of them. Including some children’s books and different genres.

Lit up booksProblematic politicsI started listening to Zibby years ago—when she actually read the books. It’s so uncomfortable listening to her interviews now when it’s obvious she doesn’t know the subject matter because she hasn’t read the book. Additionally, Zibby’s politics are problematic and have taken over the show. She often sounds like she’s forcing guests to comment on and agree with her bloodthirsty Zionist views. She supports genocide and racism and has no interest in presenting a balanced narrative. As a Jewish woman (and mother) I’m horrified by her lack of humanity and have stopped listening to this show.

Working Jewish MomLove this podcast!I enjoy the interviews a lot and have read some really good books because of it. Zibby is warm and not intimidating. People high up the literary scene can be a little snooty, so I appreciate that Zibby is so down to earth and seems so approachable. She’s like a good friend whom you discuss books with. There was a really unkind review that said Zibby bought her way up because of her family money. I have known a lot of people who have inherited wealth and not all of them have created something unique like Zibby has which enriches so many people. Who cares if she has inherited wealth? She is doing great things with it. I am currently reading Zibby’s memoir, Bookends; she is an excellent writer on top of everything else!

JeannieGirl77My Go-To for BooksLove, love this podcast. Zibby is well read, down to earth and asks thoughtful questions to engage in meaningful conversations. I especially love the variety of books she covers. A must-listen for book lovers!

Kristen NessBookish and brilliant!Zibby brings out the best in every author she interviews. I’ve discovered so many new books and authors by listening to her podcast! I love the 30 minute format - quick enough to listen while taking a walk or out running errands - and keeps the conversation going like a phone call with a friend. Zibby’s questions are thoughtful and thought-provoking, welcoming the listener into each book and the story behind each book. I love this podcast!

All nicknames taken!😊Zibby keeps me companyZibby and her guests keep me company every day while I walk. I am constantly being inspired and motivated in my writing endeavors. Thank you Zibby and crew!
-
Kristen forLove this podcastI love this podcast! Zibby is wonderful asking author questions. Sometimes she has another guest host on who also does a great job in helping the author share what their book is about. With every episode I learn about authors and the books they write. I learn about interesting books I’d probably never hear about if it weren’t for the podcast. I also learn more about myself.
-
LeebackNot listening, too rushedI’ve loved the podcast in the past, but the last two episodes I listened to, Zibby was not listening to the guest, and was just saying “that’s awesome” and moving to the next question.
-
Graca (:Better than a cup of coffee in the morning!Love this podcast. Funny, warm, authentic, interesting, eye-opening. I love reading, and getting to know the authors who write them is an added bonus to the experience. Thanks, Zibby!

AngelleebeeI like it, but …I really like this podcast. Ads.. are a bit much. But I also understand why they are needed. What makes me drop the rating, however, is that it is very apparent when Zibby is not into an author and it seems a bit rude. The authors are taking the time to appear on your podcast and it’s important they are all treated with the same respect.

Jenn_J_1578Authors Pics/Book Covers Needed SoonerI know a huge part of this podcast is about promoting the books and the authors, so it’s been a bit frustrating that for the last few weeks there’s been a pretty consistent delay when the podcast is released in making sure the image of the author and their book is what appears. Most days it’s Zibby reading a book and then several days beyond that is when the author and book cover actually appear. As someone who listens in order to add books to my reading list, the cover is a big part of what I remember. I’ve found myself the last few weeks not adding some books I knew I wanted to read because the cover art wasn’t recognizable when I went back in several days later to search for the episode. If moms don’t have time to read books, we certainly don’t have time to re-listen or have to search through all the descriptions to try to remember which books we do want to read 😉

mdelco10 minutes of adsGreat content but 10 minutes of ads on a 30 minute podcast is too many. First 5 mins are ads with another set mid way thru.

Maxcraft430Please interviewPaul and Sasha from the funny, episodic, serial, comedy podcast “Community News with Paul and Sasha” would be so great to hear on your show. Their podcast is the most fun, funny, and smart serial podcast that each week is like listening to the best audiobook. Their stories are original, funny, and so relatable. I would love to hear you and them in conversation together.

Carol Loves DisneyToo Many CommercialsFirst five minutes were commercials. I get monetizing your podcast, but it’s a no for me…
-
abcbertLongtime fanI adore your new picture! Happy new year.
-
JLL_underscoreZibby asks the questions we want to askThe thing I love most about this podcast is how Zibby asks questions that are on listeners' minds to get under the surface of the book to the stuff that really matters. Insightful and inspring. Great stuff!

timepandaDespicableYour family is shameless and disgusting. Your father has single contributed to the decline of our county and increased inequality an a massive scale whole you’ve reaped the benefits and been allowed to live a charmed life. Thank god your a “bookfluencer” pay your dues and start contributing to society you leach

AmandaFerrAwkward QuestionsI am an avid reader and love hearing from authors, but I am pretty consistently disappointed in the hosts’s delivery in questioning the authors. Particularly the episode with Amanda Kloots, I felt several cringeworthy moments. I wish the questions were prepared or presented more thoroughly.
-
marleneeHGreat for aspiring writersMy favorite part is when Zibby asks the interviewee advice for listening writers. This part of the show feels like cracking a fortune cookie delivering sweet affirmations that inspire me to keep writing. In the past couple episodes, Zibby has skipped this question. I hope she doesn’t abandon the tradition altogether. It’s basically what I come for. Also, I appreciate the writers sharing how they get it done. Especially when the guest is a parent tackling their own challenges with workload and childcare. (Yes, it’s okay to not work exactly like Tom Clancy!) This has been healthy for me, a writing mom, to hear. Thank you for your work, Zibby!

tls6280Great Wisdom!Zibby & guests always inspire. My only regret is that Zibby would have been sharing these podcasts when my children were young! Even though my babes are long grown, I love these & find so much wisdom in them! Thanks!
-
BethShannonWriterLove this podcast! As a reader and a writer I love this podcast. I’ve received so many great book recommendations, and I love hearing authors talk about their writing advice and journey to publication.

duder123123451Great podcast !!This is one of my favorite podcasts!! I started listening during the pandemic and haven’t stopped. I have discovered so many new authors and books. Zibby is a fantastic interviewer, and you can feel her passion for books and literature. I look forward to my daily walks so I can hear my next podcast.

CMuchnickAwesome podcast and growing platformI am one of the late bloomers to discover Ziggy, and now that I have I am forever changed. Her work is inspiring, her tone is honest and real, and she makes things happen. Quickly. Ziggy doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. This podcast as well as her platforms and other projects in the pipeline make me her newest fan girl. The podcasts allow me to be a “fly on the wall” and sit in the room to eavesdrop on the conversations of so many amazing authors. Thanks, Zibby, for sharing and celebrating all of these authors with listeners. Now I just need enough hours my lifetime to read so many of these books! “Mom’s (truly) don’t have time!” But I will make and find more! Listen, rate and subscribe if you don’t already. It is a worthwhile use of the time you don’t have. :)
-
LaurenEdmondsonLove this podcastLove the off the cuff convos Zibby has with authors about their books and lives. I always feel like I’m eavesdropping on two good friends.

ReadingmomnvetLove Zibby!I started listening to Zibby after seeing her on CBS Sunday morning. I’m a busy mom of three who works full time and my goal every day is to find time to read my book! I now listen to Zibby every morning while walking my dog. So great to hear from so many authors and introduce me to new books. The smile I can hear in Zibby’s voice starts my day off on the bright side.

Sandy AbramsZibby's Enthusiasm for Books is Contagious!Over quarantine during Covid-19 pandemic, I got back into reading books thanks to Zibby's Insta Live conversations that I came across. I needed to switch up from the usual non-fiction and business books. Her enthusiasm about how books make us feel, think and engage is contagious. I loved learning about the authors' journey behind the book, that made the book so much more interesting. I quickly expanded my (reading) horizons! Thanks, Zibby for getting me back into books on a new level that is truly self care! I'm scheduling time daily to unplug and curl up with a book again...and of course, listening to this fun podcast too!
-
JesusGuyGreat PodcastI am at the stage in life, also with 4 children, where I really don’t have time to sit down and read books. I look forward to the daily podcast!
-

MK18Cannot love this enough!I learned about Zibby’s podcast through a special on CBS Sunday Morning and immediately fell in love. I love that the majority of the writers are female and that the content is SO relevant! I laugh, I cry and I have added so many books to my “Want to Read” list! 🤓📚❤️
