DrudgeworstappeverOne of the best podcasts on healthI have been listening to Max for a few years, even bought his book. The show has great guests that provide info that other podcasts aren’t doing! Keep it up Max - you are doing the good work

RubySayNot So Genius After AllI’ve been a regular listener for a couple of years. Over the past few months I’ve heard some tone deaf and cringe worthy comments from him regarding Trans youth, as well as showing a complete blindness to his white, CIS, male privilege. I chose to overlook those and keep listening. He then shares he voted for Trump. Being a woman (as well as just a sane individual), I cannot and will not support any person who votes to take my rights away. And I cannot respect anyone who doesn’t see rape, misogyny, racism, and homophobia as a deal breaker for presidency. If these things are not crystal clear to him, then I certainly cannot trust anything health and science related from him.

Utterly flabbergastedMax jumped the sharkSorry, but I can’t look to someone for health advice who looks up to and supports an anti-vaxxer and someone who just all-around has the ethics of a toad (RFK). Who knows what other kind of bad advice he might give. Had to drop, sorry.
-
HartT1Sell out!I WAS a fan of Max until he turned on us and went all in on Trump. What sell out! For someone who seems to be into health, wellness and wellbeing, he’s supporting a fascist who will destroy our country. AND Max has perpetuated ‘bro’ culture to no end. No more Max!

c-suttonAmazing!!Absolutely amazing podcast. Every single episode makes you think. Keep going Max!!!🤍🤍
-
gapski13Too right wingI always loved Max, have read multiple of his books and loved the podcast… until he started bringing on more and more right wing shills and (proudly?) announced voting for DJT even though he supports “women’s rights.” Clearly caring for his women supporters’ rights is lower on his priority list, though, so I’m done. Unfollowed on all platforms.
-
ggarza917Very politicalSome episodes are great and I think Max has good intentions; but unfortunately him sharing so many political opinions that is so off putting. I didn’t follow the podcast for political opinions.
-
Just sayin, ok?MAGAUsed to love this show, now had a MAGA guy (Bass) on telling me to how to follow science? Sorry, Max, vet your guests better. Adios.
-
Heidi431Waste of timeNot sure how he has such a following.
-
ABethSLPI wish we could leave politics out of itI, like others in the reviews, have been disappointed with episodes recently that have interjected political statements into episodes. Max typically has knowledgeable guests and clearly stays up to date on cutting edge research. I just don’t see the point in off-handed comments regarding stereotypes about the right or the left. I’m much more interested in hearing how to keep my family healthy, rather than being reminded of how divided our country is.

MisterJekylUnsubscribed after many yearsConstantly promoting fear and negativity about the consequences of Trump losing the 2024 election is unacceptable. Endorsing a felon who is amoral, dishonest, and hypocritical for such a critical role undermines credibility and casts doubt on all other “genius” recommendations.

pdcsterKEEP UP THE GOOD WORKLove the range of topics!!!!

Bean928Lost meI listen to the recent podcast w/Kevin Bass and was so disappointed w/the politics and bias. This is not your usual……

Therizzler333best podcast!! Max is changing the worldI LOVE MAX’S SHOW I LEARN SO MUCH EVERY WEEK!! I thought his speech in front of congress last week on the chronic disease epidemic in this country will evoke real change. Max is changing the world !! THANK U MAX

adoptdontshopSaveAnimalsArgumentativeHave been a follower and subscriber for many many years bought his books etc… but he’s gotten so hostile, arguing with people on Instagram and feeling the need to comment on everything. He has changed so much and. It in a good way —publicly share his political views - you cannot speak for women #unfollow
-
Not so genius”Mostly nonprofessional males presenting themselves as experts on subjectsGreat if you want to listen to opinions and superficial citing/research understanding.

Hlrusso“Culture Crackdown” let me down!Wow- just wow. I’ve followed Max since I pre-ordered his first book. I even bought his book for several friends. What a let down this episode was. As the years go by, it seems like the person who was once a solid voice for nutrition and brain health is moving more and more to a conservative anti-science mind-set. I’m sure he doesn’t see it, but for those of us who have followed him as well as many others in the space, it’s glaringly apparent. I know you’re not supposed to read your own reviews, or even care what anyone else has to say- but I sure wish he’d take a step back and start hanging out with a different crowd- their influence is obvious.

walter flynn white jrBeen listening for ~2 years and its lost its intrigueMax, I first heard you on the JRE years ago which led me to this show. While I have learned so much from your show over the years, it has ultimately taught me that there is so much I don’t know. Some of your recent guests have been so off putting (the weightlifting guy for one) and your most recent guest (Matt B) really sealed the deal. I turned it off after 40 minutes, his complete lack of empathy and nuance is the antithesis of what makes your show unique. I feel like he was bullying you into agreeing with his opinion, and I was disappointed when you had little to no pushback.
-
Hawk1619I believe Max means wellI like Max Lugavere and have found the podcast to be of value. However, I was disturbed by this weeks show with Matt Bilinsky. I think it's fine to have people on with divergent views but was disappointed that Max didn't push back at all when Matt seemed to indicate that biological females that show some transgender traits should not be able to compete as females...Max did ask if there should be a separate category but seemed to accept the answer that, essentially, too bad so sad; the people that comprise this category are such a minority that we can't accommodate them.
-
LdwightWhat a ShameI really enjoyed this podcast for its informative take on nutrition but injecting politics into nutrition, is a huge turn off especially when your interviewee is a pseudo-conservative moron. Sorry I’m moving on to more enlightened experts.

HelloSarahMarshall2Thank you 10/10Great information that is broken down in an easy, enjoyable way. Like many others have noted if you implement even just some of the advice from episodes you will improve your longevity and health immensely.

MarkS333Best podcast to actually improve your lifeListening to this podcast will improve your life, the most helpful topics for me have been relationship / family advice for me. I don’t know much about Max’s personal life but he seems like a great guy and host who chooses only the best guests, unlike other health podcasts these guests are either experts in their field or the world’s top doctors. He cares about his listeners living healthier lives and only makes reconditions backed by science and professionals. It’s hard to find people in his field you can trust, especially in this day and age with all the horrible misinformation peddled by the MSM. His new movie is a life changing watch. I just cannot recommend his podcast or best selling books enough. I lost 15 lbs from following mainly ONE suggestion he had on with a guest. He is really changing the world by getting this info out there. Thank you Max for all that you do!!!!!

AleshaAdvacadoThank youI’ve been listening to this podcast since 2021, and it’s been a transformative journey for me. Each episode brings something new to the table, and I absolutely love how different they are every time. The variety keeps things fresh. Since I started listening, I’ve slowly introduced healthier behaviors into my life. Thank you for consistently delivering such valuable content this podcast has truly made a positive impact on my life!
-
RVALissaExcellent information!!I recently came upon this podcast and its quickly becoming a go to. I love the health and wellness messages that cover, mental, physical, dietary and spiritual subjects . Good work

👑Opal EllyseI LOVE This Podcast!!The Genius life is my favorite podcast, it’s because I learn so much, even in the areas where I think I’m close to being an expert, I still learn more. I also appreciate that Max is unafraid to challenge statements/POVs made by guests, but always in an open way that seeks understanding. This is a needed model. I also LOVE that Max does his own commercials, it makes for a much smoother show and his are probably the only ads I don’t skip! I have an AG1 subscription because of this podcast, just saying lol.

MariaK9325Max why are you putting a communist on your show?Simon Sinek
-
KtlanewsBEST PODCAST TOP YAPPERMax Lugavere is the best and this is my favorite podcast (second favorite is “Morbid”) I learn so much from Max every week on health, wellness, relationships, mental health preventative medicine. My sleep has improved, I am more regular, my skin looks better and I repaired the relationship with my family after Dr. Warren Farrell’s episode. Max always makes subject matter entertaining. I love being able to tell people what I’ve learned each week. Please do more episodes on toxic mold.
-
JNLCIAIsraetelI wish he would of answered all the questions instead of rambling redundant comparisons!
-
Chez__-Insane amount of adsThis guy has an ad every 10mins in every episode. Very annoying
-
Peter AhlMediocreThis show I listened to on Alzheimer’s and other brain disease was a real disappointment Spent so much time just talking junk and talking about future, blah blah blah 10 minutes yapping while collecting blood drops, …from intelligent folks every other word is “like”; disappointing program
-
ThisMiddleAgeEraYou basically saved my life…with sharing your curiosity of health and longevity and bringing in the best guests for various topics from physical to mental health. 10 months ago I started to change my lifestyle in the middle of perimenopause after noticing the things I had being doing for years to maintain my health wasn’t working anymore. What really got me going was you sharing your mom’s dementia story. It became clear to me that changing my lifestyle was far more important than just fitting into an old pair of jeans. Since making some changes to include strength training, walking, and ensuring I’m taking in enough protein daily, I’ve lost 25 lbs. and feel lighter, faster, stronger mentally and physically. Thank you for your vulnerability and continuing to deliver episodes full of actionable and approachable information.

NoSeedOilLove you but.Max. You endorsed Magic Spoon Cereal. Please check second ingredient. Sunflower Oil. Seed Oil. And, most avocado oil is adulterated. This isn’t you!
-
Sara L PiersonI am so grateful for you!Max, I look up to you and I am so grateful for the incredible and passionate work and energy you pour into the health and wellness industry. I have been following along since 2018 when I first saw you on the Dr. Oz show. My mom was also diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia at 52 and passed away at 57 years old in 2019. I just watched Empty Little Boxes and there were so many similarities that Kathy shared with my mom. This disease is so detrimental and I am so appreciative for you and people like you who help lead people to a more mindful and healthy lifestyle. If you are ever in Texas, I hope that you come and visit us at our hobby farm and share some free-range chicken eggs and grass-fed (from our pasture) beef with us lol!

SavannahHoagCame Here from Jordan PetersonLoved the interview on JP’s podcast and instantly wanted to follow. I have always thought that if we just eat whole foods of every color and type that well look good as FEEL good. I’m the kind of person who thinks ingesting natural cane sugar is healthier than Stevia since it’s at least natural. 😂 And I have never heard anyone else say that if there is a commercial for the food, it’s best to avoid it. It was stated on Jordyn Peterson‘s podcast and I feel like so many of my views on diet were backed up. Not that I have a perfect diet, but I think that people get so lost in the sauce of just wanting to be skinny, so eating, unhealthy, low-calorie foods, or just doing fat diets thinking it’ll be a “quick fix.” I’m lucky enough to have been blessed with a fast metabolism, but I also only eat until I’m no longer hungry. So for me little treats here and there don’t really make me worry about my weight, but more so my mental health. I can emotionally feel how unhealthy food affects me after I’ve consumed it. Anyway, just wanted to say I’m excited to get into this podcast because, the interview with Jordan Peterson was so stuffed with amazing content!

x-tinepierangeliCate shanahan misses the markI have just listened to Dr. Shanahan‘s interview and I am completely disappointed. I am a master nutrition therapist and board-certified and holistic nutrition and I felt like she completely missed the mark on nuance and clarity in the studies. I felt like you did a good job of challenging her and often she would come back with “I think“. I went into this interview a fan of hers and excited to hear her, but I thought she was extremely in articulate and I’m now questioning her perspective on seed oils. My biggest grievance is her take on LDL‘s. I have been researching this carefully for many years and there are context and nuance to all of the discussions around ADLs. Sweeping say LDL are not important and go even further to say higher, LDL are better for our health is too far. I felt her hubris in this interview was a real turn off and hope she does better moving forward.
-
Debbie (M)Feeling magical!Thank you for introducing me to the work of Dr. Jim Doty. I will be reading his book and following his podcast. Keep bringing the unique content and great interviews!
-
yyooggaaggiirrllI never write reviews…But wanted to thank Max for having such a nuanced expert as Dr Suzanne Gilberg on the show, and for tackling a subject that many male podcast hosts would avoid! You are really helping expand literacy across topics that need more exposure with curiosity and open mindedness.
-
lpartistGuest “experts” are questionableStarted listening to episode 391 with guest Georgia Ede and turned it off about 5 minutes in when she said legumes and whole grains have no nutritional benefit. Tell that to all the centenarians in Sardinia, Italy and Ikaria, Greece. Apparently Ms. Ede has never heard of the Mediterranean diet.
-
Pro AustinThank you for existingChanged my whole life, lost over 50lb in a year, thank you Max. Good luck on your new movie
-
Tiff674Turned offLike the show at times, but anytime someone comes on and talks about food desserts and disparities especially when it comes to communities of color, Max brushes it under rug, as well as anyone addressing that politics which contributes to that issue. I don’t like that won’t acknowledge that when it is in fact a reality of our society
-
Drmike914PatheticWhen you promote a guest as an expert who references the American heart association as part of an opinion…. Wow you should try a different career path!
-
Wu tang for everTucker Goodrich’s dogThis episode in unlistenable due to his dog, it does not stop barking. This is really unprofessional and disrespectful to us as listeners and Max as a professional. Thanks for your work Max. Please re-do this episode with someone who is a professional.

emahegRe: latest episode on autismWe don’t know what causes autism. And as someone who is autistic, I wouldn’t want my autism cured. It is as much something that makes me me as my nose, my eyes, my voice. Its offensive to hear language talking about this like it’s a disease that needs to be gotten rid of. Autism is a gift.
-
Monica B83GoalsMy favorite podcast! I look forward to listening while getting in my daily steps. In fact, I’m not sure if I would reach my step goals without it. Thank you Max.

The_Ryan_Simmons in TexasWhy was this stuff led out of my seminary curriculumMax- I grew up Uber religious even to the point of going to seminary. For the better part of my childhood and adult life, the faith based teachings i was exposed to focused on sinful behaviors rather than proactive wellness and lifestyle optimization behaviors. For example, we are taught to "abstain from alcohol" bc it is a "sin" to but never taught the physical, mental, and emotional wellness and lifestyle consequences. The same goes for so many of your other topics from a relationship to food, exercise, interpersonal relationships, our past, SSRI's and so many more. Thank you for helping to change my life (and I'm sure many others) when it comes to the "why" behind the genius life by being an important voice for overall wellness that crosses all Cultural barriers. I am grateful everyday for this podcast. 🙏🏻

bishop-pontusLove the showMy partner and I both love this show and find the topics covered fascinating and informative. The way the information is presented makes it an easy listen compared to other similar podcasts. We are always sending episodes back and forth to each other. Thank you for having this amazing resource for people to educate themselves. Also, I would love it if you could get an interview with Matthew Walker PhD and author of “Why We Sleep”. I read his book and it really helped with my sleep issues. I think it could help your audience as well.

Kc7061uvContinually getting better!!I’m not sure how it could get better, but if you’re looking for a podcast to better yourself, help those around you, or just learn about living a better life- this is it! I literally learn something new every time I listen. Worth my time !
