Way better than all that repetitive Trump junk from that fat slob in Alabama. Way less commercials too. Could do without so many old wwf/e audio tapes for review purposes

John McAdam is very knowledgeable and a great host. However, Sean Goodwin is so obnoxious and hard to listen to that I just can’t get through some episodes. This would be five stars without him.

If you’ve burned out on many other wrestling podcasts, John & Steve are where you should turn. Fun conversations about old school wrestling from two knowledgable, calm, reasonable long time fans. Quite often the guests are fantastic fonts of territorial knowledge as well.

Outstanding perspective from a true wrestling scholar. Especially good for the focus on old territories like Florida. Only complaint — wish the episodes were longer because the show is so much fun. Great work.

…this show was recommended by my pod app. I was skeptical, thinking I have already filtered thru all the wrestling podcasts I care about (they’re down to OVP, TLF, GFA, and a couple others)…they hooked me here with the era they’re covering right now (late ‘84 WWF…its a super fun era and reminds me of when your favorite sports team is young and about to be awesome but not *quite* there yet…the anticipation and steady progress is exciting. These guys do it justice. Well researched. Not as excitable or joke-heavy as TLF or OVP but not dry as that 5-hour dirt sheet show (forget the name but they’re good to put on before bed). Anyway, I subscribed after one show so…’nuff said!

McAdam is entertaining and informative, and always delivers. Except on Truth Media, where he never seems to post. Wicked good

I enjoy this show's format and the subjects they talk about. But it really needs a better co-host or guests on here to talk. Steve is just cringe to listen to. Jon Boucher is ok, Sean was great. But man, now it's become who sounds like the bigger geek know-it-all.

So first show I ever listened to was the ECW Cyberslam 96 episode. I never heard this show covered on any other podcast so I was excited to listen. Boy was I disappointed. The show was just basically some fan talking about going to a few ECW shows back in the day & barely anything on Cyberslam. Total waste of time.

John, the guests have been incredibly subpar as of late. Your show’s brand is the nerdy but smart old school nostalgia podcast. When you have a run of guests who don’t know anything, whether it’s a photographer who only remembers Killer Kowalski or this week’s gimmick, the comedian who knows nothing and, as a bonus, is not at all funny. The revolving co-host bit is played out. Find your new Sean or change the format before Episode 200. Also, do the world a favor and tell this week’s sleepwalking “comic” what the word “infamous” really means. He has no idea.

Lots of fun, plenty of special guests, and always great topics for discussion.

Just a few questions. Why do you spend most of the show trying to convince us that you are a wrestling genius? Are you that insecure? Please stick to wrestling not John Mcadams knows it all.

Every single episode of this podcast is a must listen. John never takes himself seriously and this lifelong easterner waxes poetically on his love of old school wrestling. The hour flies by & feels more like 15 minutes.

It’s torture. Stop it. Sometimes I can’t get to the 30 sec FF button, why are you punishing me for it? Otherwise, great stuff.

Was fine for the first few listens, same topics and subjects that have been covered countless times on countless other podcasts. Dry and bland and a waste of download space.

Always a good listen, like the focused format of the show and actually am really enjoying the revolving door of voices in the co-host chair. Only complaint is that sometimes you can tell that not a lot of prep went in some weeks (like the “let’s look at the random results of a card from 1984”-type episodes) but something I always look forward to coming out on Friday

Love how John McAdam posts on Facebook how people criticize Lebron James and Alyssa Milano like people are trying to tell them how to think and what to say- and disables the comments section. When you also start criticizing people who attack others for wearing MAGA hats and stealing Trump signs out of people’s yards , then I’ll want to hear from you on the matter. I have enjoyed the show and have all the respect for him for what he does in wrestling and all of his knowledge, but don’t tell half the story.And it must be great to be above working in a muffler shop huh

No one gives a crap about to political beliefs and your cheap shot at the president using a false liberal talking point was out of line. People listen to your show for wrestling.

Great fun. I enjoy the history and discussion of wrestling history. Especially enjoy the Q&A episodes. Needs more Dean Ho.

If you like solid classic pro wrestling talk, especially 70’s-80’s WWWF, Memphis and more, this is the show for you. John and Sean have great chemistry and the show just keeps getting better and better.

I don’t watch wrestling anymore,but I find myself devouring classic wrestling podcasts. This is my favorite. Just good conversation on a given topic. The one podcast on wrestling that I listen to ASAP. Great work.

Awesome, informative episode. TGBL joining the boys was an added bonus. Will be purchasing Tim Hornbaker's book, Death of the Territories. Keep it up.

Love the show, especially the “What If” segments. John has a great memory and unique perspective on the wrestling from the 80s that hooked me as a fan.

There’s some really good bones here. Two knowledgeable guys talking about 80s/90s wrestling. It’s a bit like a sports radio show but with far better historical depth and analysis. Not just “hot takes.” The episode flew by.
