knitpurrlgrrAcrylic episode— enlighteningThanks so much for your episodes on fiber from 2023. I’ve been trying to listen to all of them on your list. Just got to the acrylic podcast. So much I didn’t realize or never thought about!! I’m going to join you in trying to avoid acrylic at all costs!! Thank you.
-

LoriNeuThoroughly enjoyable!Anne’s voice is soothing to listen to and her laugh is infectious. The interviews are fascinating and I’ve learned so much in the episodes I’ve listened to so far. I love learning fiber art history and appreciate the focus on sustainability. I’m so glad I found this podcast!

Tollie527EnjoyableJust started to listen. It’s a relaxing podcast to listen to while driving to and from the gym. I love having episodes stockpiled. Great format and Anne has a very pleasant voice. Oh, and you choice of music is perfect.
-
Love heart 2My new faveThis podcast is my new favorite- super relaxing and informative about knitting and I love the Real-Life content too. As someone who has ups and downs it is nice to hear that other people’s lives take a similar trajectory sometimes (although I wish Anne all the best of course). It’s just that listening to other podcasts can paint an overly rosy picture sometimes.

SAnaylorJust found youHi Anne. I have returned to knitting (again) after retiring (again). I am binge listening and on episode 15. I have really enjoyed your podcast especially the music and your progress on the master knitter program. Looking forward to getting caught up to present.

endofsufferingWhy I love the showI have been knitting since I was a child. I tried a few knitting podcasts a couple of years ago, and I kept I Thought I Knew How in my rotation because I like learning about traditional yarn-making methods. I had never heard of the master hand knitter program. I listen to the podcasts on weekends because Anne’s voice is so gentle and relaxing. I love this podcast!

Nc1217Absolutely love Anne Frost & ITIKH show!I have absolutely loved listening to Anne Frost and her “I Thought I Knew How” podcast! I have learned so much listening to her show, and love listening to her stories from Shetland especially! She has made me brave enough to try Fair Isle!
-
Kjacks08The Best Knitting Podcast!Anne Frost has created the best knitting podcast I have found to date. She covers travel, knitting techniques, the Master Knitter program, and all things in between! I love her little music breaks and her honest reviews of products, patterns, and fiber festivals. I’m so glad to have added I Thought I Knew How to my podcast routine 🤩

GayleKnitsLike Listening To a Friend Talk About Her KnittingAnne Frost’s podcast is possibly my favorite podcast of any genre. She is enthusiastic but not hyper. She is full of information and isn’t afraid to talk about mistakes. I really enjoy her trips to Shetland and all of the knowledge and fun she shares. Her podcast format is classic, with a couple of songs mixed in with talk about her knitting and events of interest. It really does feel like listening to a friend. I hope you enjoy her, too.
-
KnitwordsAlways Full of Information and Fun!Each of the episodes offers a mix of information about incredible people and places, as well as nuggets to add to our personal perspectives around knitting, making, and more. Thank you, Anne!

FoodFamilyFiberFarmingBest audio knitting podcast out thereIt’s hard for me to explain what I like so much about this podcast. I love the mixing in of music, Anne’s honesty and her voice and cadence. Sounds odd I know but I listen to another podcast where the narrator changed every month and trust me - it matters! This podcast deserves a listen.
-
CL1324It Makes Me Wish I Could KnitI am not a knitter, but when I listen to this podcast, I wish I were. Anne’s gentle enthusiasm makes me want to push my boundaries farther out in art and life.
-
newhoudlYou definitely know how!I don’t remember how this podcast ended up in my subscriptions because I rarely listen to podcasts, usually preferring audiobooks. When my library was empty recently I switched to my podcast app and started Anne’s shows at the beginning (it’s harder than I thought to listen chronologically for some reason). I really loved the Shetland travelogues! We don’t share a lot of knitting tastes but I really love your content and have learned a lot. Your interviews are really informative and I always end up following the people you’ve featured. I’ve discovered Craftsy and MeWe as a result and am very grateful. Keep up the great work.

SLB-SCRelaxing and affirmingI was introduced to the podcast and Anne with the first Online International Fiber Festival, which I absolutely loved for so many reasons and can’t wait for the next. As much as Anne has enjoyed making the podcast during the pandemic, I have looked forward to each episode for her her insights, explorations, and interviews. I’m already looking forward to the next season after her well-deserved break from the show. Thank you, Anne!

BluestockingfopLike Sitting with a FriendI found Anne’s podcast shortly after teaching myself to knit and quickly flew through the older episodes. Knitting can be such a social hobby, but taking up knitting during a pandemic takes that experience away from you. Anne’s delivery is so warm and welcoming. It feels like sitting down for a chat with a good friend who is so excited to share her knowledge with you. Not only is the podcast so informative, but it’s helped me have the social knitting experience that I’d felt like I’d missed out on. Be sure to check out her episode notes! They’re super thorough and full of links, and trust me, you’ll want to dive more into every topic she discusses!

hikeandknitThe Best Podcast for KnittersI began listening to knitting podcasts a little more than an year ago. After running out of episodes on one, I stumbled across Anne’s wonderful podcast. I love the content and the variety. I am working to listen to all the back episodes and I learn so much with each one. I listen to and from work and on the drive to see family. I am always informed, entertained and get to travel to places I haven’t been though the podcast. I love the book suggestions. Anne is an excellent presenter with a calming presence . I count her as part of my knitting family!
-
201plmMy favoriteThis is my favorite knitting podcast. It is an adventure following Anne to different countries, knitting crawls and fairs.
-
MimiknitterWow. What I didn’t know (and Love) about knittingI am a mediocre knitter who loves the community of my yarn store as much as what I knit. Anne Frost of this podcast understands that. She is also a brilliant podcaster. Mixes new and rare information with personal experience and insights. Then music and interviews and raffles and games that she gets a kick from. I’m working my way through four seasons. Enjoying the process.
-
sewingalldaylongLove it!Been a favorite for a long time. I love the blend of stories and knitting. So soothing!

Handheld nonsense#1 Best ever podcast!#1 Best ever podcast!

purlbabyAbsolutely Wonderful PodcastI’ve been listening to this podcast for over a year now, and it just keeps getting better. Anne’s adventures with Shetland, wool, fair isle, and podcasting are a ball to follow along with, and the music that accompanies each episode is always unique and lovely. Anne is so relaxing to listen to and an episode of her podcast feels like sitting down for a chat with an old friend. I just listened to the holiday episode and the heartwarming Santa story brought tears to my eyes. I’ve learned so much from this podcast and I look forward to new episodes next year.
-
PipergrinA must-listen for fiber friendsAnne has such a calming voice and puts so much thought and attention into sharing people, projects, culture and all sorts of curiosities in fiber adventures. I love the music selections and introductions to musicians, authors, places and projects. I’m enjoying the Online International Fiber Festival that she curates. Really appreciate the effort and attention to detail on all of this content for us!
-
Cynthia in OhioInspiring!I so look forward to new episodes. Anne delivers content that is both educational, creative and enjoyable with a mix of eclectic music, that I might not have heard otherwise but I find easy to listen to. Anne speaks clearly, sticks to the pertinent topics, inspires and challenges us in our craft and is overall pleasant to listen to. So glad I found her!
-
CaraKnitsJoyful PeaceI love listening to and learning from your conversations. Your calm clear presentation style leaves me feeling joyful and peaceful.
-
AlpacaenvyWonderfulAfter a years long hiatus from knitting podcasts, I am overjoyed to find a newer podcast to center my mind while I knit. It is always a joy to find a knitter with similar tastes! Looking forward to following along here for awhile.
-
ShrikeForce2Informative!This podcast has been so great to listen to. Anne frequently adds little tidbits of information that I find very useful, and I have also enjoyed learning about the conservation initiatives she brings light to. Keep up the good work!
-
karengrace729Great podcast for knittersI listened to I Thought I knew How last summer then it kind of fell off my radar. I’m really glad I found it back. Anne’s voice is very soothing. Even if you don’t knit, this podcast is worth listening to, to calm your nerves. I’ve binged all the episodes I’ve missed and can’t wait until the next one. I also appreciate the things that Anne recommends. It feels like she really puts the time in to make sure the products are things she will use. Anne has a lot of good advice and more than once she’s made me look at things a different way. Definitely worth adding to your “subscribe” list.

Check2xInteresting, entertaining and informative!I just recently started listening and I love the combination of knitting, music, product reviews, and very informative commentary. Her Online International Fiber Festival that was recently held virtually was so well done and so much fun. I am looking forward to the next Virtual Fiber Festival while planning on listening to all the previous podcasts. Highly recommend!

Maddie516One of the best!I am a new knitter so I’ve taken a deep dive into lots of knitting podcasts. This is one of my very favorites. I love the interviews and the explanations. Even as a new knitter, I don’t feel like she’s speaking a different language, only that there are some new techniques for me to explore. I also really love the music she plays through out the podcast. There are always new-to-me artists to add to my playlist!
-
candicewcmI LOVE this podcast!I’ve only recently started listening to podcasts and I always look forward to this one. I’m a life long knitter - about 60 years worth - and still learn and love hearing Anne’s stories. She keeps me up on yarns, techniques, shows and more. I originally found her when 3 of us were planning to go to Shetland Wool Week this fall. Instead, she took me around the world with her virtual international fiber festival.
-
E_i_WSoothing, funAnne is an excellent storyteller and narrator. Her thoughtful observations and soothing voice helped me focus on and connect with my knitting when I was going through a difficult time and felt unable to focus on pretty much anything. Now that I know the podcast is here, I eagerly look forward to following Anne’s progress through the Master Knitter Program.
-
Spinning BuddyGreat Fiber podcastI really enjoy listening to the podcast. Anne has a great soothing voice and her topics are always interesting. I enjoy the Master Knitter updates (or not) 😉than you so much for podcasting!

KnittingAvoLife and KnittingDiscovered this podcast during a long auto ride...& found Anne lives near where I spent most of my adult life. I have a dearth of LYS here in South Carolina so this podcast fills a need for wool chat. Anne is a editor and it shows. Episodes are well constructed and she speaks at a perfect speed. If you love yarn, like to reflect on life, and yearn to visit Shetland, you will not regrets listening. I suggest you begin at #1 so you don’t miss a thing! I am currently listening to January 2020 & am anxious to hear her take on Covid-19. Thank you, Anne!
-
Scoots0328Great podcastI love listening to this podcast! I usually listen to true crime so this is the perfect palate cleanser. Being local to many of the yarn shops that Anne talks about, gives it a more personal feel. The only negative I have is that every time Anne talks about the projects she’s working on, my knitting to-do list gets longer.
-
ranckjA joyful companion for knittingThis podcast was suggested for me when I was actually looking at another. The other podcast was not my style so I thought I would give this one a go. What a delight!! Anne’s eclectic group of stories, thoughts and songs bring a smile to my face and happiness to my heart. Her method of passing on valuable information is effective and pleasant. Great job!! I look forward to listening to them all🤗
-
MomPark18The only podcast I look forward toI’m so glad I found this podcast. I love knitting and am prone to meandering thoughts on life as well. The music breaks are fun, Anne is great, and I just really enjoy the time I spend listening. I’m still catching up on episodes released before I started listening, but that’s how much I like it—I want to hear them all. I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts, some even for multiple seasons, but none I’ve ever kept track of when the next episode was being released, I just listened in bursts for something to do. Thanks Anne for putting yourself out there!
-
SkaterNanThe voice we need right nowAnn has such a soothing voice quality but also a gentle way to present knitting/life. I also love her music selections and as a result I have downloaded the ones available on iTunes. You will also enjoy past episodes about her travels in the Shetland Islands.
-
SSKGRAVESExcellent knitting podcastI enjoy having audio podcasts to listen to while knitting. If I’m knitting something that I need to pay attention to, it’s a constant distraction to look at a screen. I found this one by accident and subscribed after listening to several episodes. Anne has a soothing and friendly voice and her programs are informative in content and professional in sound.
-
DncshahaShe is so fun!I really like this podcast. She is upbeat and sounds sweet.
-
amcbelleSuperstarAnne’s podcast are simply amazing! I start out thinking I’m going to learn something about knitting, crochet or yarn and learn so much more as in life lessons and lots of 🤔 moments that make me stop and think about my life. Can’t thank you enough Anne for your wonderful podcasts and glad I finally figured out how to rate and leave a review!! Xo
-
knitanotherShaveem2saveem. I thought I knew howAnn has taught me so much about knitting. Even more important, I have learned how tightly bound together so many people are by this fiber. I feel a part of a strong and supportive group. May it be as enduring as the wool
-
Sara from CharlotteSo much fun and inspiration!I just recently found this podcast and have binge listened from episode 1 - worth every second! I enjoy knitting and have appreciated the insights on life, knitting, travel and everything in between. I highly recommend listening to this podcast. Enjoy!

JulzlarrabeeKnitting Ambassador Extraordinaire!!!Anne’s podcast is a wonderful extension of all that she does for the knitting community. Her heartfelt love of all things knitting related shines through in her well-prepared, informative, fun episodes, and her calm, soothing voice is a delight to listen to. The format of her podcasts is well thought out, including a song break for knitting along to some great tunes she selects. A nice little pause in the action. She’s working her way through the Master Knitter Program and shares her experiences in that journey. You’ll also love hearing about all she does to highlight, promote, and raise awareness in the worldwide community. It might be reviews, interviews, attending festivals, conferences, or supporting charity events, but there is no doubt that Anne loves all things knitting related!
-
jrmrsbLearning ExperienceFrom her eclectic taste in music to her travel reports and reviews of many kinds, Anne’s podcasts are a delight to listen to. I always finish listening to an episode having learnt something and with a host of things I want to look into. This podcast was originally started as a way for Anne to review and chart her progress in the Master Knitter Programme and, after 23 episodes, it has become so much more. I would recommend any knitter/ crocheter/ fibre enthusiast to pick up their craft and settle in for a listen- you will not be disappointed.
-
pieceful22Refreshingly differentAnne brings a fresh perspective to knitting podcasts. Her voice, both delivery and content, is a delight to listen to. I’m glad that her progress with the master knitter program is going slowly, because I fear that she plans to stop podcasting when she completes it.
-
KBleichGreat podcastThanks for your personality that comes shining through in all you have to talk about knitting and otherwise!
-
Alli12987Great “knitting world” insightI. Love. This. Podcast. I’ve so enjoyed listening to the interviews and overviews of overseas knitting experiences and the info on the master knitters course is valuable. Thank you!

CAPS GrammyA new to me favoriteWhile it’s been around for a while, I just discovered this podcast today. I started from the beginning, have listened to 2 episodes, and am really enjoying it. Anne’s voice is pleasant and precise, and she presents lots of info and insights interspersed with musical interludes.
