    Fantastic combination
Unlike many sleep podcasts Dave chooses unique, historical content and his voice somehow seems melodiously monotonous. Thank you so much!
  • JenInHouston
    The talent is good.
Voice, style, pace, content all great! Sound quality not so much. I cannot listen through blue tooth speaker it sounds muddled becomes in decipherable. I can only listen through my phone speaker which is not always loud enough for me. The long intro is a bit much. Just briefly say the podcast relies on listeners and list the site or sites where they can contribute and move on. I know it’s got to be financed but the manner is a bit much. I am a fan of the podcast though I do like it. I do go to sleep much easier. Thank You.

    It’s mellow
He’s got the right tone, pacing, and content to provide a sleepy pace.

    Works for me!
Loved the voice. Loved the stories. Can’t remember the ending. Perfect 🙏

    I’m conflicted
I’ve listened to a few episodes and really like the reader’s voice and speed. Calming topics combined with classic works are just right because the older language is complex enough to distract the mind. I really like that. The 7 minute intro, however, I am not a fan of at all. It would be lovely if there was one intro episode and the sleep stories were free of all that repetitive chatter. If I create a playlist of episodes, like you suggest in the intro, I will be dreading the 7 minutes at the beginning of each episode reminding me that I’m still not asleep. I wish this could be corrected because this podcast is just wonderful otherwise. Took off only one star for this complaint, even though I think it’s a pretty significant drawback.

    Soothing and effective
A really good podcast that does what it says—helps me fall asleep. I like that he uses actual material rather than original stories, which I find distracting. I appreciate this podcast very much. Thank you!!

    Favorite podcast for sleeping
I like both voice and speed of reading. I personally prefer natural flow of reading rather than artificially slower ones that I heard on other podcasts. Never had any problems with the quality of the recording either, so not sure why some people noted that as issue. Thank you Dave for keeping up good work!

    Finally.
First time. I hope I like it because I’ve tried sooo many tricks to help me with sleep but I haven’t had much luck. Fortunately, I like it so far. P.S: voice equals AMAZING 🤩
  • Callan E
    Only thing that works!
I’ve struggled for years with falling asleep, and tried every podcast on the books. This is my favorite by far! Been a listener for almost a year now and the podcast still works every night.

    VERY HELPFUL…
I am insomniac so this podcast is so helpful I love it thank you for helping all the other sleep podcasts don’t work for me so im so lucky to find this one thank you I wake up so alive and awake I’m writing this at 8:00 am I think the morning cause I fell fast asleep before I could write it
  • ellieisthecoolest
    Bad sound quality
The sound quality is terrible! Love it otherwise, get a better mic!
  • Paellin
    This is great!
This podcast has all but cured my insomnia. The narrator’s voice is so soothing and comforting that I just drift off to sleep. My only complaint is that I never get anywhere near to the end of the story. Thank you for this wonderful method.

    It’s fine😏🤔😬
I know you want good reveiws and I’m sorry, but I just don’t like it.Some nights when I go to bed I am full of anxiety and stress.😨😰😱My head gets light and I feel like I could go crazy over small and big things.Anyways,I heard on one reveiw that you talk to fast and I agree.Slow down.Your british accent is perfect for this.I lictened to the podcast Get Sleepy and I love his voice.I don’t really wan’t to listen to Get Sleepy anymore though because I found out it had something to do with meditation and I’m a christian.I’m so glad this podcast doesn’t have anything to do with meditatian. If your a christian you could make bible story podcasts. These storys are kind of boring.YAH!!!Well anyways,God bless you.😊
  • Esterdotter
    Please slow down
Wonderful voice but speaks too fast. Otherwise a great series.
  • Lex972435
I sleep to this all the time!
His voice is so calming! The stories are always something easy to listen to while I drift. I usually let them play all night, the music for the intro is calm enough not to wake you up in between episodes! Thank you for this, Dave.
  • Apple user 1920654
    It helps
I can sleep I am a kid I love this. I will listen to this for better sleep
  • Starlight Book lover OwO
    Wish me luck
I just started the latest work ep and am already in love with his voice it’s 12:13 am and I’m still awake and I literally just found this and am trying this wish me luck!
  • marybeth cro
    Awesome
Hey dave, i usually listen on spotify but i redownloaded apple podcasts just to leave this review. Been listening for a while now and ive only made it to the end a handful of times. Definitely the best sleep podcast ive found. I usually only put it on when i really cant sleep and i just gotta tell you the other day it was like 12:30am because i kept scrolling through my phone and i could NOT sleep so i put on an episode. Didnt even make it to “so relax dear listener... youll always be safe with me” thanks dude. One thing though is its kinda weird how i cant put a face to a name. Maybe post a selfie on your ig or something so i know who my nightime friend is. Also kinda wish youd do more non fiction. My fave ep is the one about turkeys lol
  • CCiscool20
    AHHHHHHHH
SO LONG! SO BORING AHHHHHHHHHHH Ugh this is so LONG you should really do like 10 minutes but this is just boring would you hear a boring show for a hour???
  • diriejcos,d
Idk it is very calming and nice to get in sleepy mod but it does not help me sleep
It has a lot of good reviews but I think it is not helping me sleep 🛏 By the way check out bedtime history it is amazing and I love it so much!
  • chasg360
    Too much intro every time
Literally talks for first 15 minutes of every single episode. Not a fan.
  • Kalvarez1?
    Love it
I’m one of those people who wakes up at 1:00 and can’t go back to sleep and now I am to the point of just falling asleep in the intro and I love it. This is an amazing podcast. And I would recommend giving it a try.
  • FrankieDthetank
    Very good
I have enjoyed the podcast for 2 months very soothing to listen to
  • tccchuck
    Disappointed
Way too much time asking for money and support before getting to the story. Annoyed enough to write a review.
  • AmberLilyB
    Okay I’m into it
My first time listening review is this in a nutshell: Love the quality of his voice but not the quality of the equipment. That being said, we all gotta start somewhere. I will definitely continue to listen.
  • KTandOti
    Delightful!

    Good Nights Sleep
I personally struggle with falling and staying asleep. Prior to finding Sleepy Time Tales, I hadn’t considered listening to a podcast to try and help. Lo and behold, this is now going to be my current sleep aid. I can’t recommend this show enough.
  • Louisewool
    Yep
I’ve been investigating several sleep podcasts & this one was honestly great! Everyone’s different but def worth investigating! PS: might want to change it up from ‘Sleep With Me’ podcast though..come on folks..
