A good podcast to listen to so you don’t have to yell or lose hair over ND. 10/10 great guy thanks for letting me have a full head of hair being a ND fan.

The host does nothing but scream and regurgitates what other talking heads say. It’s by far the most unbearable podcast for Notre Dame football. The host doesn’t seem very knowledgeable about the sport, in the 15 or so episodes I listened to I never heard him break down a play, just yell and complain.

Just caught on to John with the Blue Gold collaboration, I’m hooked! Love the passion!

The podcast isn’t long enough for listeners anywhere.

He doesn’t give you long episodes, just great passion from a well spoken fan.

If you get into the loud shouty rant types this is a great pod with good passion. His presentation just isn’t for me. Too angry.

Love John’s energy and passion. Even if I don’t agree with everything he says, it’s a great listen. And honestly, what would be the fun if we simply agreed on everything anyways. The NDs fan guide in a podcast is right here

As usual....John is the sole voice of reason! He will look at the game from all sides and from both teams viewpoints. Nobody...NOBODY...has such a REALISTIC viewpoint about their team. Because it is just way too difficult to be a reasonable fan. The biggest oxymoronic statement ever! “Reasonable fan!” I am a Clemson grad and fan and if you guys keep following and listening to what John is saying.......you actually might be one of the College “Death machine programs!”.....very soon! You are not far from it! I cannot say it any clearer. While I love when John loses his mind......but....that only shows how deeply he cares....he is correct about so many different things! John has... HANDS DOWN...THE BEST, MOST ACCURATE PODCAST GOING TODAY. And I mean out of them ALL......John knows what he is saying and says it with complete clarity! I am a Clemson fan...and also a fan of John’s. He has MANY Clemson fans. The truth is rarely spoken. But John ALWAYS brings it! John is a number # 1 Irish fan.....and a complete speaker of the truth. And we are living in a sea of lies! But....not John!!

John always crushes it. Love the passion, don’t always agree with all takes (especially as a younger ND fan), but can’t argue with his thought process. Keep it up!!! Also his hate of Michigan is the purest thing in this world and I relate to it on a spiritual level.

If ND had an OC that tried to use our weapons we’d be undefeated. The defense is solid almost every game ( besides Troy Pride getting his weekly costly PI) but the offense can’t score enough to help out. How many times does Claypol have to make an amazing catch before they will consistently go deep! WTH?!

this is the best ND podcast there is. just simple good opinionated content with no excuses and no nonsense. Does a good job breaking stuff with a point of view.

Knows what he’s talking about for the most part. Would be an awful QB with his tunnel vision. Kind of immature. Obviously not legit with no real inside sources to backup anything he says. While more informative then the town drunk, not much quieter.

This guy provides undoubtedly the most passionate, honest, earnest & direct analysis of Notre Dame football. He doesn’t mince words when it comes to ND’s weaknesses, mistakes & deficiencies, but he also recognizes & praises Irish assets & successes. Each week brings an entertaining & comprehensive evaluation of the roster, plays, injuries & culture, as well as observations & breakdowns about opponents, press coverage & everything else involving Irish football. Apparently, he also has a YouTube channel, but I don’t want to watch because I prefer to imagine that this guy looks like Lombardi, who wears old school attire that harkens the eras of Rockne or Parseghian, who’s salty and kind, unyielding and objective. Don’t listen to this podcast if you’re a Pollyanna who prefers to wear rose colored glasses when it comes to ND football. If you want to celebrate Irish football as an informed rational fan, then this podcast is for you. Go, Irish! ☘️

I rely on Always IRISH to keep me Grounded! Sometimes I have rosey colored glasses on when it comes to my IRISH, John and his team remind me that sometimes it’s okay to be objective. John has great insight, solid takes, and keeps it real. Great listen!

I came upon John’s podcast while preparing for the Clemson v. Notre Dame game. I was excited to find someone who was very honest and real about Notre Dame Football! My buddies and I all listen to this podcast and really enjoy it. If you are a person who cannot handle the truth this podcast is not and will never be for you. John isn’t going to wow you with his knowledge of schemes and in-depth analysis but with that being said there is no one I would rather listen to leading up to and following a Notre Dame Football game. Was struggling to find a talkshow on NDFB that just tells it how it is. And then I found John, and I've been listening to Always Irish ever since; it's been just over a year now. Best source for news, updates, and venting sessions on this topic in my opinion. It may be because of the positive feedback loop I need as a NDFB fan, but that's what's awesome for me because John doesn't sugar coat the state of the NDFB program. This is something that most other outlets that cover ND do, and that's not helpful for fans who can tell the program has been deficient in areas such as recruiting, showing up in big games, and running the dang ball in years past. John makes sure that we, as fans, don't lose sight of what ND needs to do better to hang in there with the big dawgs (pun intended for UGA). MUST LISTEN! Go Irish!

Always Irish is truly the greatest podcast that covers Notre Dame football. He tells it how it is and is not living in la la land. Always makes great points and helps paint the picture of what is happening and what needs to happen for the Irish. I listen to every podcast and it never fails to entertain and inform. Highly recommend!

This show is a breath of fresh air. A required weekly listen . Most Notre Dame fan podcasts are all rainbows and sunshine all the time . Not Always Irish. John is fair , balanced and uses a unique blend of humor, passion and eloquence to convey his message about this program at any given time. This show isn't for fair weather fanboys. It's for real ND fans who are open to hearing about the good things the program does and where it still needs to improve. Another difference between this show and others is that John always touches on unique ND related topics that no other podcasts cover that really make you think. I also find his delivery method to be unique. Many podcasts have good information but boring delivery . Not John. You'll never be bored. He's got a natural energy and passion for the topic and never disappoints. His recently added hilarious segment "Always Annoyed" could be its own stand alone podcast . John's got a real gift for podcasting. This is the best ND podcast available ! Been a loyal listener for years and fully recommend for any diehard ND fan !
