The point of this podcast is pretty broad — “All of Christ for all of life.” In order to make that happen, we need “theology that bites back.” I want to advance what you might call a Chestertonian Calvinism, and to bring that attitude to bear on education, sex and culture, theology, politics, book reviews, postmodernism, expository studies, along with other random tidbits that come into my head. My perspective is usually not hard to discern. In theology I am an evangelical, postmill, Calvinist, Reformed, and Presbyterian, pretty much in that order. In politics, I am slightly to the right of Jeb Stuart. In my cultural sympathies, if we were comparing the blight of postmodernism to a vast but shallow goo pond, I would observe that I have spent many years on these stilts and have barely gotten any of it on me.

Snarky, Concise, Loving and Thoughtful Truths
I appreciate Doug's carefully worded podcasts. They are so very clever and snarky, but truly loving, calling all to truth and repentance.

    What a man!
He is a breath of fresh, no-nonsense air at a time when we are bombarded with lies and complete nonsense from our would be leaders.

    He lost me
It seems the only thing he’s interested in is going after other believers. What he and the other thug ‘theologians’ did to Gary DeMar is ridiculous.

Push back against the Antioch declaration
I have this podcast rated as a one star. This rating will remain until Doug retracts his support for the Antioch declaration and apologizes for his missteps, harmful words, and actions against thousands of fellow CREC members. His latest statements and actions are more akin to liberal evangelical talking heads than the true godly leader he can be. Please Doug, rethink your statements and talk with Joel Webbon one on one and let’s get the CREC to hash this out privately and internally. We need to get back to fighting dragons not each other….. remember?

So good! So creative and quick witted. I love listening to him and considering his opinions. This is a great podcast. Very easy to share because you're not asking a friend to listen to a one or two hour episode but rather a 10 or 15 minute bullet point on something.

    Solid, biblical and endearing
Doug Wilson is a much needed herald in our day. Right or left, secular or evangelical, this man’s faithfulness to the word of God even at the expense of cool points preach to generation that is tired of compromise, eager for truth and ready to see the nations believe upon the Lord Jesus.

This is an amazing podcast. I prefer to watch it on Canon+ but I thought I would give it a five star on podcasts.

    Only ever wiser
I grew up in Doug Wilson’s church and now that I’m living in Florida I find myself constantly missing his preaching and listening to his sermons and content online. He’s only grow ever wiser in all the years I’ve known him! Thank you pastor Wilson for all the helpful commentary on politics and culture during a very turbulent time in history. It’s encouraging and very important!

    So prolific!!
I am amazed that Doug can put out so many pithy 15 minute talks on current issues! So refreshing that our Lord’s reign applies to every square inch of the universe, even the cultural and political realm 👏. I get tired of going to my salvation club where Christ is Lord, forgiveness and hope are found but there’s little relation to living holy and righteously in a culture that reject His holy Law and are living in “clown world.”

    Gratitude
I am forever indebted to the Church at Moscow for the teaching that has helped form me in Christ. A great pastoral voice of our generation. I recommend for all that desire holiness.

    Thought provoking
When I found D. Wilson I was hooked in by his commentary and thought provoking content. I had been listening to Wilson for awhile when my pastor advised me to listen carefully to the doctrine Wilson taught. See Federal Vision. I explained that Wilson has always sounded orthodox and I’ve never heard even the slightest error doctrinally. Wilson hangs with James White for goodness sakes. That should be a clue to the discerning listener. But here’s my take away. Listening to anyone in spiritual matters ALWAYS requires discernment and carful listening and then check what they say against the word of God prayerfully. Any lawfully ordained minister of the gospel will give a hardy AMEN because even they know Jesus is the head and the only one without error. Thank you Mr. Wilson and may God richly bless your mission.

    Cultural commentary with a bite
Doug Wilson has a great bark, but his bite is even better. He has the delightful combination of historical literacy & Biblical wisdom, rolled up with delightful rhetorical flourishes. I can’t get enough.

I❤️this podcast, looking forward to this, as well as all canon press offerings! This is a thought provoking lifeline to me as I definitely appreciate a sensible and Biblical analysis of current events. Thanks a million! Listened to episode dates 5/10/22 twice today, and it’s not unusual for me to RE listen to any particular episode as there is so much to reflect on!!❤️

    Full of Hate and Venom
A guy from my church sent me the episode titled “Testosterone Does Stuff”. It made me feel pretty disturbed and I want nothing to with it. I spoke with a pastor at our church and he said Doug Wilson was once well regarded but has since fallen into ideology of hate and intolerance. This is not of Jesus. I felt better taking to our pastor and sadly there are some guys in the church who get caught up in this far right ideology. I believe my job to speak to them and explain why this is harmful.

    Clarity in theology
A lot of theological talk ends up never saying anything of value. Doug Wilson is clear and concise with his insight, rebukes, and commentary. A must-listen for any Christian.

    Refreshing!
It’s very refreshing to hear it as it needs to be told. I’m tired of the soft handed message of the ivory tower academics, so afraid of being judged by the world, that they flinch when they see their shadow, worried that their shadow might come off too dark and offensive to their neighbors.

    Ugh
I’m not a big fan of the sticker gate thing. I love Moscow and though I don’t like the mask mandate that took place last year I would not remotely compare it to the Soviet Union. Hmmm cloth over your face verses the killings of people sounds really similar. Plus from the few episodes I’ve listened to not a lot of scripture only a lot of whining.

Short, not sweet, and to the point.
I look forward to every new episode. Doug pulls no punches and has meaningful, thoughtful and direct comentary on the ever changing mad world we live in. I highly recommend this podcast.

    Biblical with brains and backbone
Brother Doug Wilson’s observations and explanations are much needed, and very much appreciated. Too many “Christians” are intentionally uninformed, and intentionally ignoring present circumstances and the ramifications. Other over-zealous patriots confuse their allegiance to Christ and His kingdom with a misguided sense of devotion to a man-made document known as the US Constitution. I believe Doug Wilson is in alignment of that correct spot of adherence to a biblical worldview that honors Christ , and supports a godly love for country. I have found Pastor Wilson to be brilliant, reliable, and relatable in his assessments and recommendations concerning the issues and circumstances of 21st century America and the world . “Scouring Of “what a find! Was Tolkien a prophet or has this happened before. With regard to the the Lord of the Rings and the current cultural crisis and our story has been written now may I do what the time demands and not just cheer those that do….oh and thanks for doing the literary leg work for us Pastor

    Witty, humorous, insightful and timely
A kick in the pants and excellent analysis of our culture today and the failings of the American Evangelical church. But these aren’t a depressing, woe is us, hunker-down-and-wait-for-Jesus series of essays; rather they are a cheerful call to action for the soldiers of Christ. Because really, we are on the winning side, aren’t we?

    Emboldening Food for the Soul!
I have known about Doug Wilson for many years, but was not aware of his podcast. Wow! It has been food for my soul! Pastor Wilson’s insights on current cultural events and his keen ability to apply biblical and specifically gospel truths to them is simply wonderful! A much needed voice in Christendom today! I heartily recommend this content to every believer! You will be challenged and taught how to think biblically, and emboldened to live faithfully before our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
  • Spears4Fears
    Hedonist
There may be only two pastors today that understand the real point of the “good life”. John Piper and Doug Wilson. If John Piper is the heart then Doug Wilson is the head behind christian hedonism and what life is all about. Pastor Wilson gives a constant worldview for the good life and a vision of what joy can look like in action. As our current crazed cultures collapse around us and Life Liberty and pursing Happiness gets replaced with death, slavery and depression, this a great podcast to build or realign a biblical worldview to both provide for and protect those around you! The only “buyer beware” I would give is the satire runs thick and constant and may not be as helpful for a broader audience. For some the satire can be distracting and create followers of satire and humor who then in turn easily mistake substance for satire and humor for joy. But if you can wade through the satire there is real substance and real joy to be found!

Theology For Men (And Women Too)
Doug Wilson is a man’s man. He not only loves Jesus but he also knows the times we are living in and that we need men, men of God who will fight for the truth. He also does so with humor!
