The Van Life Podcast

63

This is a fun documentation of my journey living the "van life" and traveling across America full time. I have a traveling podcast setup so I can record episodes in my van, on the beach, or any other place my adventures take me.

    Where’d you go?
I thought you guys were doing a good job. What happened? Hope all is well. Jump back in here if you can. I leave on my first van trip in two weeks!

Doesn’t represent van life at all
Privileged, judgemental, and no emotional intelligence. This isn’t “van life”. Disappointed this guy is representing this community with his catchy podcast title.

Great break from my daily routine.
I love listening to these two conversations about their travels and prepping. I have a very stressful job and taking a little time to listen to them chat gives me a mental break. It’s light and distracting.

Not real vanlifers misleading podcast name
Pretty disappointing to hear you encourage people to take advantage of the national parks without supporting them financially. If you “really like” them you should support them and encourage others to as well. And I’d say most national parks I’ve been to have no cell service....

Some of us can’t do mouth noise.
I am a van builder and live in my van a lot as a mobile contractor and van builder in CA and OR. So? Well, that is just to give context. I would LOVE to listen but have “misophonia.” I think I spelled that right. I can’t hear clicking or smacking lips and tongues and stay focused. And I definitely can’t do chewing ice in the recording. Sorry. I hope this is useful info for the creators.

“Like” gets like repetitive too. I just can’t like listen though I like love the subject.

    Stupid Stupid Stupid!!
Don’t waste your time on this podcast! If you’re searching for experienced people giving move on. This is just another couple trying vanlife and not living it. Next week they’ll be another band wagon!

Should be titled the road trip podcast
I’m glad that this couple got to see some amazing things on their road trip... but someone who actually lives in their van, should have the honor of having “the” vanlife podcast!! I was amazed at their review of Joshua tree.. and their disappointment to the fact that there wasn’t running water or cell service. Maybe they should have watched “the reality of vanlife” on Amazon Prime maybe they would have figured out that there will be some pooping outdoors and some suffering to make it happen. If you want to have fun turn this podcast into a drinking game... do a shot every time he says “exspecially”

    Are you done?
I haven’t seen anymore episodes in a while. Have you all settled in or still traveling? Definitely dig your “real talk” vibe. No sugarcoated BS about your journeys. Looking forward to more! Also, get another mic and record two channels so you can level out the audio. Even compressor software may work in a pinch. Steven sounds much louder than Erica and it makes it hard to follow conversations sometimes.

If you want to know what Yankees think...
Tune in to this podcast. It’s Northeasterners being amazed at the big, big world. They even use a single mic!
