    Horrible
The creators of this podcast are horribly antisemitic and also deny the atrocities of rape against Jewish women on October 7th.

Hands down BEST podcast for you and your dog!
Hi!! I have an 11 month old Airedoodle and luckily stumbled upon your podcast not too long after getting her! Your podcast Honest to Dog has been a god send! I have listened to just about every single episode and have listened to some episodes multiple times! I had no idea all the things I was doing wrong! I have implemented a bunch of your teachings and the results have been fantastic! Our relationship is starting to improve and I am definitely becoming more of a leader in her eyes! Your podcast also gave me the courage to try using a slip lead on our walks and it has been a game changer! She went from pulling and sniffing all over the place to now she walks (for the most part, still a work in progress!) right beside me or slightly behind! I was honestly beginning to lose all hope in a loose leash walk! Now we have a very clear line of communication. I’m so grateful for Liz and Jeff and all the information they have and give so freely! You guys make dog training fun and easy to understand! And you literally have an episode on EVERYTHING! I can’t even begin to describe how helpful listening to HTD has been. Thank you Liz and Jeff! And please don’t ever stop!

    Informative & fun🐶
I stumbled across this podcast when their Instagram @honesttodogpodcast came up in “suggested posts” on my Insta feed. I binge-listened to the episodes from the beginning and can not recommend it enough! I’ve referred at least 10 people to this already just so that they better understand and respect how I’m working with my pup. It’s fun, up-beat, and informative, but doesn’t shy away from heavier topics. They handle topics that could be potentially “hot topics” smoothly and with an open mind. Lots of great tips for training, but never putting down other training styles. If you want to better understand your dog, improve your relationship with them, and tune in to what they may be communicating to you, highly suggest giving this podcast a listen! I’ve seen huge shifts in my own pup just by being consistent and implementing a lot of the little things Liz discusses. Looking forward to many more episodes to come🫶🏻

    Life Changing!!!
Liz Foley through HTD is the whole reason I can LOOSE LEASH walk an entire dog pack, the reason my dog can now be kenneled with no problem, the reason he walks without reactivity now, the reason he’s fulfilled mentally and physically, even the reason he eats the diet he eats! My dog and I have BOTH benefitted from this podcast so much! I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a dog trainer AND anyone who feels like they could use a dose of calm confidence in their own life! Liz and the HTD podcast have helped me help my dog and at least seven other dogs and owners! I cannot say enough good things about HTD, Liz, or Jeff her cohost! Literally life changing!

I think this is the best dog podcast
I do it is true I love it!!!!!!! But I am a Christian do the swears get bad. That is the thing I don’t like about it. So I only listen to one one of the episodes it is the separation anxiety because there’s only one kind of a swear thing and I plug my ears, but I love itttt!!💜😍🐴🐶🐕🦮🐩🐕‍🦺🐾🦴😍

    Good dog content/ED triggering
Love the dog training content but I’ve only just started listening and have now heard 2 mentions of Liz’s weight loss as a goal. Weight loss does not equal health and the mention of weight loss is triggering for people in eating disorder recovery as well it’s just a fatphobic thing to say. Maybe do some research and work on rewording it if you feel the need to still use that analogy.

The Only Dog Podcast You’ll Ever Need
I absolutely love this podcast (and Liz). I think it should be required listening before adopting a dog. As someone who has worked in the rescue/training world for over 15 years, I’ve seen a lot of different training methods and styles. Everything Liz teaches is rooted in Dog psychology and she has an incredible way of articulating it in a way that makes it digestible for those who are new to the topic as well as making it relevant and helpful to trainers and behaviorists alike. 12/10 would recommend.

    An amazing dog owner resource
I started listening to Honest to Dog 2 years ago when we rescued our pittie mix. We knew nothing about dog psychology or training. This podcast is full of great information about learning about your dog and how to be good owners. I’m so thankful for the content and information I have learned and continue to learn.

    BEST Dog Podcast Out There
Liz Foley is without a doubt our favourite dog trainer! She is knowledgeable about dog psychology, she is experienced, and the fact that she willingly gives free dog advice every week is amazing! Liz and Jeff make this podcast such an enjoyable listen! Everything we’ve learned from HTD has improved our relationship with our dog. Liz has helped us level up! Go listen!

    Incredible!
I love this podcast. It helped me so much when I first got my lab puppy and continues to do so! I even listen to episodes multiple times for a refresher. Thanks for all the work you do and the heart and soul you put into your craft to make the world a better place ♥️

    Fan for Life!
I’ve been going down many dog-related rabbit holes lately now that I am raising a pup on my own for the first time and am always on the lookout for dog psychology pros who use a balanced approach. Found this pod after working with Liz at a training event and have been bingeing the episodes ever since- so practical, respectful of dogs’ natural way of being and sympathetic to how challenging it is to develop the pack relationship/dynamic. Also love the dynamic between Liz and Jeff. Since Jeff is more of a layman, he asks questions on the level that I would so the content is always relatable. Very grateful for this pod.

    “Perfect, perfect, perfect”
There no words that can effectively communicate how thankful I am for this duo! To Liz for her expansive knowledge and her ability to covey complex lessons into digestible episodes. This podcast and a couple of IG pages have really helped set me up for the journey that is dog training. Liz’s approach is very strength based and validating, especially when training becomes hard. To Jeff for being an awesome stand-in for the layperson. There have been many, MANY times when my husband thinks what Liz is saying is too woo woo/ too out there, but then Jeff asks a question he would ask and Liz is able to educate and reinforce why dog psychology is good and my husband is bought in again! It is also great to hear them process their training ups and downs in a healthy way, thus giving me and my partner a great example of how to have difficult training conversations in a respectful manner. I’ve had the honor to attend one of their pack walks in LA and participated in their 10 Day Reboot. They are both fantastic! To see Liz work and benefit from her instincts has been an honor!

    Best. Dog. Training. Podcast. Ever.
Liz and Jeff are so fun to listen to—they make sure that they explain concepts well, and Jeff asks all the right questions! They have sooo many free tools for dog owners to utilize within this series. And it’s because of listening to the podcast that I was able to get in-person help from Liz and change my relationship with both of my dogs for the better! You can’t argue with these results!! The podcast is a great supplemental tool to refer back to frequently to help along your training journey. (Any one star reviews are clearly folks who were triggered by truth bombs on social media and in no way reflect the quality of this incredible podcast) Keep up the amazing work, Liz and Jeff!

    Best dog psychology podcast around
I’ve been listening to Honest to Dog consistently for almost a year and can confidently say it is one of the very best resources for learning about dog psychology. Liz and Jeff cover a variety of topics with sincerity, humor, and real world experiences. Liz is as good as they come - she has many years of experience and there’s a reason she runs Cesar Milan’s training operations! There are many different dog training philosophies out there but for those looking for a balanced approach that truly utilizes psychology to tap into the very best canine communication techniques, I cannot recommend this show enough!!
  • Mari.Jo.
    An amazing resource!
I am so grateful for Liz & Honest to Dog. All the information she provides is so valuable and has helped me correct my own behavior as a dog owner. My pittie & mutt mix are better balanced as a result. Thanks for teaching me how to love my doggos better! And fulfill them 🤍

Every Dog Owner and Lover Should Binge This Podcast
This podcast is an invaluable resource for dog owners and lovers. It breaks down dog psychology in an approachable, interesting and insightful way. I love Liz and Jeff’s dedication to helping the dog community through their work. I am a trainer and regularly send certain episodes to clients to help supplement training and learn the “why” behind dog psychology. I get so excited when new episodes are released!
  • shablog
    Great digestible dog training information
We’ve been listening to Honest to Dog for a year and have even recommended it to some friends. Liz does a great job in breaking down dog training into digestible bits and to give you tips you can implement to improve your relationship with your dog. I particularly found the one about the walk useful. I also love following Liz’s own journey through the podcast and the struggles and breakthroughs she’s had with her own dogs!

Honestly, Honest To Dog is my favorite podcast.
I started listening to Honest To Dog when my friend and dog trainer (Millie of Mirror Image K9) recommended it to me on my journey to learning more about dog psychology to help my reactive dog. Obviously, I became obsessed. Honest To Dog made me laugh, it made me think, and it helped me to understand my dog on a deeper level. Now I work for my dog trainer and every episode I listen to teaches me a little more and allows me to continue helping more dogs and more humans. Big fan. Thanks, Liz and Jeff.
  • Vicvonb27
    Highly recommend!
I am a dog trainer and I absolutely love the information Liz puts out. I actually tell my clients to listen to her episodes while they are out practicing leash manners with their dogs so they have something to focus on other than how much distance they are (not) covering…Slow and steady progress ;)
  • Annalynnmix
    Amazing Resource
I have never written a review. But honestly just so appreciate all the information Jeff and Liz provide for free. They have provided a framework for all of our training, and improved our relationship with our two high-energy dogs.

    Succinct, clear, and relaxing!
Liz and Jeff give clear instructions with real life examples! I listen to the podcast on my drive to group dog classes every week! 😚😚😚 would love to hear an episode on anxiety/confidence building.
  • Niko'sHuman
    Excellent teaching podcast
The hosts treat each topic with careful consideration but without getting overly granular or off the subject. There’s room in the podcast universe for deeply scientific discussion of canine behavior, but what’s most effective is information given in a clear and simple manner, which this podcast achieves in each episode.
  • bigearsblueeyes
Must Listen If You Have A Dog!
LOVE this podcast! My favorite thing is how each episode is by topic (The One About The Walk and The One About Senses will change your relationship with your dog, I promise). I love the positive focus on moving forward no matter where you are at with your dog currently. I’m absorbing everything I can learn about dog psychology and behavior, and this podcast has been an incredible resource! Check it out!

    The Ultimate Dog Psychology
If you really want to learn how dogs relate to us and see the world, learning dog psychology is really the only way to understand. Liz is refreshingly knowledgeable and I’m taking notes during every episode. She’s clear and talks from first hand experience. I can’t get enough of this show.
