This podcast would be all right if they weren’t constantly applying a politically correct lens over everything. I don’t need to hear about Magnum from the Soviet perspective.

A fantastic analysis of the best TV series of all time. Even though some episodes can seem silly 40 years later, these podcasters recognize the show had heart, chemistry among the actors, and great stories.

I was born in 1979 so I didn’t watch much Magnum PI when it came out. I have now seen the series many times and never had anyone to talk about it with, or hear talk about it. I have always wondered if people realized they use the same actors for different roles, or different actors for the same roles etc… This podcast has been amazing. The hosts have answered any questions I’ve ever had in a more than entertaining fashion. If you like Magnum PI and enjoy laughing go no further. I would like to introduce a new segment, it’s called “Please start making more of these ASAP!”

I’ve been a Magnum fan since the show aired back in the 80’s. I contemplated starting a Magnum P.I. Podcast right around the start of Covid, but I never could find anyone who shared my love for the show to co-host with me. Recently this idea popped into my head again, and I did a quick search on my podcast aggregator and found your show. I just started listening this week and so far I am thoroughly enjoying it. Great discussion, and always a few laughs during the show. If I had started a Magnum podcast, this is exactly how I would have wanted it to be. Cheers!

Super filmic and TV-ic (not a word, I know) literate, the gents on this podcast are a wonder. They take on my favorite show as an 80s kid, with a combination of love and the clear, critical eye one only achieves (hopefully) in adulthood - as when looking at a picture of your first boyfriend/girlfriend 30 plus years later: You now know how bonkers it was, but you will always have a special place in your heart for them. Never comes off as snide or snipping, but at heart a nice tweaking with a sincere affection for TM and the gang. Plus, they’re so d*mn funny! Kudos!!!

I love that these guys laugh at the absurdity of the show as much as the intentional humor. I wasn’t old enough to watch Magnum when it was on TV, but I got hooked recently and this podcast has been such a fun way to experience the show with smart and witty friends (because none of my real friends started binging Magnum P.I. during the pandemic like I did...lol). Honestly love this—can’t wait to hear more!!!
