AmrieGPark PredatorsLove this show. The stories are very interesting and informative. I don’t love the theme song as much as the original version. My only complaint!
-
mfr0426!Theme songLove the updated theme song!
-
070673GrammarI love the subject matter of Park Predators but Delia’s grammar is atrocious. In one episode, she used the word deprived instead of depraved to describe a killer’s behavior. I can’t trust an investigator whose grammar is poor.
-
C. KantorGreat but can’t resume! These stores are well articulated and honor the victims lives. I appreciate the investigative journaling work. My only complaint is that if o have to pause it or stop the story for awhile, it will not resume! I don’t have this issue with any other audiochuck productions, or any other podcast for that matter. So not sure what’s up with this one? I have so many unfinished stories I need to hear!

Not that JudyDetailed, interesting & well researchedDelia does such a great job of storytelling. I look forward to each episode. (*As a resident of the Central Valley in California, I would also like to add how much I appreciate “Visalia” and “Tulare” being pronounced correctly!!!) Well done Delia. Keep up the excellent work!

bbz2662Year Round!I love Park Predators and am so happy it’s now available year round!

lowa22Changing my review….I’m updating my review because I’m starting to not like this one. Why the “quote” “unquote” constantly?!!! Why cite all the sources during the podcast?! If we want to we’ll look them up!! Another thing that bothers me is the words she uses, like “stuff” instead of “items” or “belongings” etc. She does this with other words too, but this one just grates on me! When telling a story, why not be more descriptive?
-
ProsecutorsWillBeViolatedUsed to be a good showNot that great, stories used to be more park centric, now they seem to be only loosely connected to the crime. Oh well, on to the next one.
-
Marlena47One of my favorites! So glad it’s full time now!I love this podcast and I’m so happy that there are new episodes every week. I loved the original song but I also love the new song. It takes you on a little journey before the episode. Keep up the great work, Delia!
-
Phenom001"Park" PredatorsI love Delia D'Ambra's work, but I feel like these crimes happening in parks is kind of a stretch. It seems Also, seems just like a a Wikipedia recap.
-
kexpensivestI used to enjoy the podBut lately, I am bored. Not necessarily the cases but maybe the pace and tone of Delia’s voice is very monotone. The ways the stories are told, I tend to I easily tune out. I find the National Park After Dark podcast much more entertaining.
-
Natasha_noirMono tone voice puts me to sleepGood story telling and investigating, but I just can’t listen to the host’s voice. It just makes me fall asleep, too monotone. I feel like these would be good to read.
-
DDPirateLove, but…I love Delia’s reporting but I wish she wouldn’t use phrases like “super clear.” It sounds juvenile. I love Park Predators but I hate hearing Ashley’s obnoxious, egotistical voice.
-
Chola Cat ladyPlease bring back original song!Love Delia and Park Predators is one of my favorite podcast but the original song was part of what made it so good! Why change a good thing? Please return the original song!!
-
Ray VictoriaAwesome NewsI’ve been a listener for over a year now and I love every episode! Thank you for making this a year round show!!
-
TLinChinaYES! Its weekly!!!I love this show, been listening for a while and just heard Ashley Flowers announce it went weekly! Delia is an amazing investigative reporter and her stories are always interesting. I love the park aspect. I spend a lot of time in nature and we always assume it’ll be safe.
-
Jojo9270Love!!!One of my favorites! Delia is so good and love listening her tell a story. This and Counter Clock are the best :)
-
Undead ShadowLoveLove her voice and the podcast! A very good listens and always excited for a new episode!!!!
-
GodgirlyGreat storytellerI hate when I run out of material because I listen to her right before I go to bed. I also wonder what happened to the whistle! I don’t like the new theme music nearly as much.
-
Marns1987I really miss the old theme music!Been listening to this podcast for awhile, interesting cases covered, and am excited it now has weekly episodes. However, I was SO bummed when I heard the new theme music… Did a double take when I first heard it. I really miss the whistle theme song; it was without a doubt the absolute best podcast theme music. Now it’s just very underwhelming.
-
Henny reneePretty good storiesI enjoy these stories, but like others find the pace fairly quick for story telling. This isn’t a criticism, but rather just my curiosity: why mention race as often as you do? It’s usually mentioned when not relevant, both for white and black people or suspects. I understand when you’re describing a wanted suspect description in an audio format, but this is usually not information that is needed or relevant.
-
sca460Why Must We Suffer?Good stories! Slow your speech rate! Please lose the soft, yet very annoying background music! Some of us use earphones! But....good stories. Thank you.
-
jrngjrgjNarrator hard to follow. This is a great story but narrator is hard to follow. Sounds like she is just reading. Very monotone and matter of fact. Boring.
-
MEDLSDMNot into the changes. The new music layered into the content over Delia talking is distracting, incongruent, and annoying.
-
_dourque_Source materialYou see, the source material says, quote, it’s unclear. But I’ll speculate.
-
jpcdeuxBoring monotone reading.Zero emotion, zero discussion. Just monotone speed reading.
-
two98456Love listening!!I am so happy this is weekly!!!!
-
DeznessOne of my favs!I love her voice and the content, so glad it’s year round now!
-
Appy BrideOkayInteresting topics, however it’s hard to listen to a full episode let alone binge the series. The host makes too many sweeping statements that are not factual and add fluff to the episodes rather than context. Her delivery is flat and the script is not polished.
-
catplattInteresting concept but lacking real researchI find the concept of the stories featured on this podcast interesting! But idk it’s a little hard to believe the host is a journalist…I mean, taking three minutes to discuss whether or not two of the main individuals “investigated” in the episode were married or not? How does a journalist not know how to search a vital records database! Cmon now. Surely this podcast group has enough $$ now to pay for that sort of access? Maybe I have a high standard as someone who does actual research professionally, and should just see this as entertainment/summaries of pre-existing savory news bits and blog posts.
-
nixxxxxxxxxxhiWell researched, hard to keep interestThis is a well researched podcast but for whatever reason, I find it SO boring. I can never get through an episode.
-
StadhUnclearWhat is “ traditionally “ female clothing? It’s not just female clothing anymore? please tell me this is a joke.
-
Hannah GriesmyerI’ve listen to this podcast almost every NightI’ve listen to this podcast almost every night. Favorite podcast. So glad it got more episodes

puppylover12339439Way too many adsI love this show but the ads make it borderline unlistenable. 6 ads in a less than 30 min show is crazy
-
BeyondtiredI can’t believe she’s a journalistShe tries to be edgy by using slang such as suss and sketch, but it just sounds awkward and forced. She frequently says, “source materials aren’t clear, but I have to assume…“ in an effort to sound professional and knowledgeable. However, her assumptions are so obvious and usually unnecessary that it feels more like padding for the story. Several times, she has said, “source materials aren’t clear about how they found out the names of the victims, but I have to assume they had some form of identification on them.” In one episode, she said something along the lines of “source materials aren’t clear on how she got to her estranged husband’s house, but I have to assume she walked or took the bus or something.” Wow. That’s investigative journalism at its finest.
-
Mr. ZanderPark PredatorsAll are sooooooooo good
-
Rococo92Love the content not the many advertisementsI love the context but sometimes the episodes get eaten away from all The advertisements.
-
Everly cool girlLove the podcast!! Hate all the ads!!The podcast is amazing!!! I love it But all the ads are just so annoying, Half makes me want to not listen to it anymore!
-
EmLeFayPainfully dullThe plodding storytelling will make you turn to google for details more compelling and succinct. It’s especially irritating to hear host say “quote/unquote” constantly. Even for one-word responses. Cannot stand this woman.

vhfbbvbjghnjhjkjSource MaterialLove the podcast!

BlondeVodkaCrime reporting from an actual journalistFinally! A true crime podcast from an actual journalist. You may see other reviews that criticize how she presents the story, including citing sources. But I think most people are used to podcasts with hosts who just read books of someone else’s research and then rip off their hard work by regurgitating that information in the form of a podcast. This is what a crime podcast sounds like from an actual journalist, with real true crime reporting. She does her own real research, submits her own FOIA requests to get more information, reads court documents and gives credit when she is pulling from other journalists. I feel like a lot of people listening aren’t used to real crime reporting in a podcast. So much so that they find it unsettling when she actually cites her sources, uses quotes, uses anatomically correct language, etc. That’s journalistic integrity. Highly recommend.

Nft249Quote end quote quote end quote quote end quoteHoly mackerel with the overuse of the phrases “quote” & “end quote”! It literally interrupts the story when you use phrases like that so much and unnecessarily! Just tell the story lol
-
RobG....Excellent showI love this show! It’s one of my favorite podcasts. The episodes are the perfect length and the narration is top notch. For those complaining that the show doesn’t feature enough crimes in national parks, the title implies any type of national park, forest, recreation area, etc. that is tied to a crime. It’s amazing. I have nothing negative to say other than I’ve listened to all the episodes and I wish I could make more appear out of thin air to listen to.
-
erminiverTop ShelfDelia presents excellent information. She doesn’t start out her shows with a lot of chat. In fact there’s none. The episodes are well written and her voice is a pleasantly low key. I check out the channel frequently.
-
MrbidGirlySO SPOOKY!Delia delivers the spookiest stories of the parks and bring attention to many forgotten cases! Her energy and enthusiasm bring us directly into these parks; helping us visualize the crimes and investigations that took place. Keep up the incredible work girl!🥹❤️🔥

Joe bob bakerMore storytelling, less propagandaThe episode “the drive” veers into weird gun lobby propaganda in its description of events. I lost interest due to this.
-
Whetsell FamilyThe FireI’ve enjoyed this show for a while, but something is off… Delia is talking too fast and her voice pitch is higher than it used to be. It’s disappointing and makes the story less enjoyable

dngreen51opinionsEveryone is entitled to have an opinion, of course, and I respect the freedom we have to do so. However, that being said, I choose to disagree with people who are taking exception to the manner, speed, pronunciation, context, sentence structure, etc. that Delia is using. The content is great, the declarations as to the reason behind the crimes are assumption opinions, which should be wholly expected by the listener. The critics should listen to the presentation for its dual purpose: entertainment and thought stimulation. If the aforementioned criticisms stop a person from finding either of these, stop listening. I am always amazed at the armchair experts who find it so easy to judge the work of others, yet do nothing more that push the play button and listen to the content for the single purpose of critiquing the work of the author. Should the series be annoying to you, don’t listen. There are thousands of series which will meet your expectations.

Laceybugg1996Love!I absolutely love everything you do! I love being able to hear about all the parks and there stories!
