MariowingnutDisappointedWas really Hoping for a great history lesson but soon realized it was a more a leftist political listen than anything else. 👎👎
-
iheartruinerExcellent American history of copsVery useful information in this pod, love the sources provided. Eye opening, learned some things I didn’t know, enjoyed re-learning things forgotten. The most hilarious part is the sad people coming to low rate it because of their bootlicking ignorance. Stay mad. 🥰

Halls22223HypotheticalI love the complaining about cops not responding fast enough or with enough enthusiasm for petty crime but also the complaining about police “harassing” people for petty crimes. I wouldn’t have disliked this podcast so much is any realistic solutions were offered but it just seems like people complaining about police doing their job.

FluffypooferImpressive showPlenty of stories and statistics I’ve never heard of before until now. They provide plenty of facts and historical accounts. Information is cited and worth exploring even more outside of this podcast. Give it a listen!

Sid.4Really enjoyed this though the content is shocking at timesThis was done very well and it was nice having someone in the episodes (Prop) who was getting the information for the first time instead of both hosts giving info. It’s like you’re both learning at the same time. I don’t understand how someone can listen to this and not understand why there is a policing problem in the US. The host always got primary sources and peer reviewed journal articles. It was also relatively easy to find the literature and sources that he referenced. I’m already looking for other podcasts that they do. Highly recommend this one

Cosmic JoggerGreat ShowOnly bad reviews are from bootlickers and Stockholm syndrome fans of the pigs. No rational person could listen to the legacy of murder, sexual abuse, racism, and classism and emerge pro-Police.

Rich via21876Villain Origin StoryAs a black man I knew the overall topics but I appreciate the level of detailed research put into the podcast. I learned A LOT. This podcast is essentially as complete an oral history on police as you can find. Anyone you know that is uncritically pro-police, save your time, tell them listen to this podcast as it has all the research needed to open/change minds

MerumeruyertVery Nice Can’t stop listeningThis is eye - opening. I appreciate your research, the facts are there and whoever denies them is the reason why the country is so messed up. Thank you

bulls in the ringTrashYea let’s blame the cops and not the criminals who violate the law, harm citizens and are animals. Dumpster fire of a podcast from cop haters

Bob-o-doomThey cite their sourcesUnlike some of the reviews for this podcast, the guy cites his sources for the script he wrote and they’re interesting reads. That however doesn’t apply to the banter. Speaking of the banter, if you want just facts, I wouldn’t recommend this podcast because it’s like 1/4 banter and jokes in between a well written scripts.

Ducks140A clown show. It’s all the evil white man cop’s fault come up with something new, like hold criminals accountable to being different and a bunch of douche bags themselves. You should listen to the “street cop” podcast and “things police see” podcast and educate yourself on cops more.

Dblackwell180WowWant to be brainwashed? Listen to this Anti-Police podcast. LEOs help people of all color, religion, and sexual orientation every day. Do ride-alongs. Talk to the officers at several agencies in several different states. Go to large cities, small cities, rural areas…. It’s not a one size fits all topic. STOP SPREADING misinformation and hate.

TXDollMHThoroughly ResearchedGreat job and I appreciate the thorough research. It’s clear some reviewers didn’t pay attention. Ep6 just FYI, as an El Pasoan, I want to clarify none of the high school football fields are IN Mexico. There is one field very close to Mexico which I’m sure is the one Prop is referring to.

JessekreSome good info, but too much agreementThere’s some important and well researched information in here, but the format of two guys who agree about everything doesn’t serve the subject well. I’m someone who thinks policing in the US needs to be re-thought and re-structured. But this podcast’s attitude is disorganized. Several times they seem to undermine some of their own positions without realizing it. For example, when Prop says that white people are less likely to be robbed, because thieves recognize that police care about white people— he is accurately diagnosing that police bias contributes to different levels of crime in neighborhoods with different races. But he’s also acknowledging that policing does work as a deterrent to crime. Another example: when they’re talking about “public spirit” as a type of community policing, they both advocate for it in the auTonomous zone, and later acknowledge it’s not enough, and it made sense that policing has been centralized. I guess their position is that policing has changed in fundamental ways since it’s beginnings, is still flawed, and it needs to continue to change fundamentally. Three stars because Prop takes too long to say whatever he’s saying, and often it’s not substantial. They’re too eager to agree and they don’t ever ask each other questions, so the banter is actually frustrating to me.

SohcksLogically FallaciousJust looking at the cover of the podcast, two blatant logical fallacies come to mind. First, the fallacy of hasty generalization is displayed when the hosts assume that since a small minority of cops abuse power, the same must be true for all cops. Second, false analogy is used frequently from this hasty generalization. Comparing Police Officers who are by and large upstanding citizens to Violent Racists like Slaveholders and KLansmen is simply illogical. Was the murder of George Floyd wrong? Yes. Do all police officers behave as such? No. This leads me to also say that this podcast behaves as sort of a attack on the character of police officers, which is shameful and undue. With that being said, I agree that certain police reform is necessary. However, defunding police will only cause the deaths of more innocent people.

Mgrot42DisgustingUtter disgrace and insult to leo members

PotchaSabotaged by toxic tribalismMuch like the other podcast this spun off from, this takes a topic and format that could have been extremely interesting and insightful, and instead uses its platform, week after week, to be little more than ranting against whoever Twitter is upset at in a given week. It’s hard to imagine a podcast being more nakedly partisan. They just have zero interest in producing anything that even remotely resembles an objective look at history. It’s truly pitiable that people can be filled with this level of hatred.

BeeneeejGarbageMan this pod is a mess.
-
Meow8888888DisappointingI thought it would provide insight to the issues we see, but they miss so much context that is turns I to a weak listen. They seem like they are just trying to make money off the current events

azure_orchidPropaganda is awesome and so is Robert EvansI’m using a similar review to Behind The Insurrections cause I listened to them around the same time. Robert Evans is amazing as ever, but Propaganda brings a lot of insight and incredible takes in this pod, I really like hearing the banter and discussion! Fascinating pod.

ms. shugenuhHas clearly hit a nerveNotice how many of the one-star reviewers even try to offer a valid criticism. It’s crystal clear these supremacists have no interest in the truth, just in dominating. God sees you. He watches you cover your badge with the blood of his creation.

nativealienzLost interest.Eh. Wish it was more informative than annoying. I could care less now.

hdhehqjisHateJust a podcast full of hate and a each episode is pushing forward a picture that is not true.

Suhk MahdikhEveryone should listenThe struggle against police violence is the defining struggle of this period. There’s a history behind the struggle. You can learn that history here.

Danddand1982100% would recommendAn excellent survey of the history of policing in the US. Evans has an engaging speaking style and he is both informative with the content provided and entertaining in the delivery. The episodes contain passages quoted from studies on policing in the US; I appreciated the citations so I could check them out for further learning. We have some dire issues with what is expected from and allowed by those who are sworn to protect in this country. This podcast is a great place to begin to get a feel for how we’ve gotten here and find some sources for more in-depth literature about the problem.
-
MufflickHood informationRobert Evans isn’t the first by any means to make this argument. The info provided is still compelling. I appreciate the dry humor and the emotional grounding of co host Propaganda.
-
SpuxeApt, Canny, Accessible, BoldWorth the listen! Robert Evans, the man Behind the “Behind The” Podcasts, does it again.

HfcsgopykbdswtTerribleTerrible podcast by terrible people
-
Matteo MasielloInteresting butThe history spoken about cannot be disputed but the “solution” and ideology behind the argument is nonsensical and endemic of how dangerous defunding and abolishing the police is. Reform is essentential but the comments made by the hosts show that they want to regress tonmob rules in communities. Violence will be the only result of their desire to abolish the police. That and civil rights will be the result. A response might be that people of color are already having civil rights violated and violence against them already. Not an a response. The anarchist view on how to solve the issue of systemic racism is just dumb. Like libertarianism anarchism is dumb and immature and unreasonable.

Ricky004Historically informativeThe podcast is a great informative piece about the beginnings of police throughout history and America. I would bet Most of the people giving it 1 star are not willing to openly look at the facts behind systemic racism in the police force in America.
-
lb39FantasticThis should be required listening in American schools edit: There’s a whole lot of Karen’s and blue lives matters bozos giving this a one star and their reviews are so asinine that it’s funny. Like a guy claimed it was bigoted because he’s a cop. You can’t make this stuff up. Also they use hate speech and wish violence upon the hosts. So uhhhh.... Apple you wanna do something about that?
-
Unnamed SourceFingers crossedHere’s hoping each person involved with this podcast realizes they need the police as some savage animal predator attacks them. Oh the joy it would give me to witness that.
-
HappygoddessEnjoy Every Episode!Robert Evans is a wonderful researcher who brings so much info to every podcast. AND, he’s the man!! He’s been doing videos from the streets of Portland for months to cover the protests. It’s nice when he has a really funny guest to chime in. Robert is not afraid to cover any topic as long as a bastard is involved!!
-
PtthomBigoted and hatefulNothing like fighting against discrimination by being a bigot against an entire group of people. And your targeted group of people save lives every single day and put their lives on the line. When there is trouble (hostage, shooting, 9/11) they run in while you run out. Yes there is a history of injustice IN THE PAST and a few bad cops (because there are bad people everywhere and in every profession) but you’ve got it all wrong. Extremely ignorant and bigoted. I’d give it zero stars if I could.
