zzzzzzzzxzxzxxxxxxxxxxxLove you guys! Maybe consider part two of your June 4 episode?I really enjoy your fascinating conversations, and Oteil, I love your music and beautiful stage presence – so joyful! If I may, I’d like to respectfully ask that you record a part two to your jammin with Phil Lesh episode. You were one of the last musicians on earth to jam with Phil - In this hour of intense mourning that so many of us are experiencing in the wake of his passing, I would love to hear specifically about your experience playing with him during the gorgeous darkstarathon that you were able to be a part of. Thank you for considering, thanks to both of you for the podcast, and for all of the great stuff that both of you put out in the world!

Lucia DillonReverend JeffI can’t remember the last time I got this much pleasure listening to a podcast. The two of y’all are a trip. I enjoyed just hearing the laughter. I would show up every Sunday to hear the two of you preach. The stories, experiences and love shared was palpable. I’m waiting for part 3. Seriously, thank you both for these conversations. It was good for my soul to hear such down home truth.

Pale Wildwood FlowerLike I’m hanging with friends!Thank you thank you Mike and Oteil for putting your time and energy into this podcast! I’m raising a teenager with multiple learning disabilities and mental health challenges-while managing mine and my spouse’s bouts of anxiety and depression (and all the physical upkeep of peak middle age!), caring for aging and ailing parents, and a woman living in a red state. This show brings me so much peace and connection-as a Deahead, as a spiritual person, as a deep thinker and sometimes just someone who wants to escape and feel a broader connection. I appreciate your vulnerability, your laughter and your love for each other and of course, music. You both bring me through some dark spaces like I’m just hanging out with my besties. Please keep on keepin on!

Bolo for BoloMagical ConvergenceMan, I’m so glad I finally got into this pod, and I sub to the Patreon because it’s that good, want to make sure these guys keep it going. I’m 1000% going through a metamorphosis in my life, and the discussions in this podcast are just like a magical convergence. It’s like all the thoughts, all the conversations, all the things I never could put into words. It’s just wonderful, life filling content, it’s the good stuff. Thanks so much to the guys and crew who make this happen. Magic.

Pasha-Ya-YaToday’s Show 8-15-23I just love your show and today’s show was no different, just hearing you guys talk. “Santa is sus “, just cracks me up. In my your story about keeping the magic of love for the younger sibling rings true for me. I have taken that message to a whole new level with my grandkids. I told them I used to be the tooth fairy in New Jersey. I have also told them when we were kids in Hartford, we could get jobs in the summer as Santas helpers up north. The program was called Santas helpers in training, but we had to change the name because the acronym was a swear. The main thing is even the magic of life for them and even when they find out they know what that magic is all about it’s important. Anyway, I hope to catch you. Eaten a show very soon anytime you’re coming around Hartford keep up the good work. Love, Marsha.

JAHW IdeazSimultaneously Enlightening and ChillI love the very chill and down to Earth conversational atmosphere, and yet one really gets into the nitty gritty of the cultural life of rock and roll. The episode with Paul Stamets and Bobby was enlightening!
-
Jagsgirl1Thought provoking!Enjoying this podcast…lots of thoughtful conversations with a good dash of fun and humor.
-

boxofrain94Awesomest podcast, love u Mike, oteill, EricThis is the best, heart touching and amazing every episode is like a live concert and I’ve gone back and listened to them over and over again, I wish there was more, luckily there’s patron bonus episodes, but still wish there was more
-
Paul TorrezFine wineStarted off skeptical.. was slightly annoyed with Mike always talking about his time with Ken kesey. But for some reason I kept listening and now I feel like Mike and Oteil are like buddies I grew up with that have turned out to be amazing, loving, human beings that want the planet to be a better place. Btw, Mike no longer talks about his time with Kesey and instead has become a super thoughtful interviewer and brings the best out of their guests. I don’t know how many times I finish a new podcast with these guys and feel inspired to be a better Dad, husband, friend and fly fishing guide! Ha! Thanks guys for an amazing project… please don’t stop. Paul Wimberley, Tx

Daba the greatGreat Pdo castMet Mike at a JRAD show and he told me about this pod cast. Listened to it yesterday and hooked! Great info and I love Oteil.
-
SryNameTakenLove this!Excellent podcast and always enlightening - I’m so thankful Oteil and Mike started this. It helped through the pandemic and is still a blessing

mostly reverend kimbut what genre?oteil, what a trip to find your podcast!! this is excellent, and here’s why: the first episode i listened to was #46, with dr stanley krippner. (cue the twilight zone & outer limits theme songs) this struck so many harmonic resonances within me, i’m still buzzing. as a former public defender and career criminal defense attorney, i typically listen only to “true crime” podcasts. but i think i can rationalize including you in that group. 😉 i highly recommend this podcast. oteil is a smart guy, truly interesting, and has traveled such an incredible path thus far… and he’s just getting started. i love the chance to ride the bus with him.

oowiejdjxjdWhere are the showsThe new shows aren’t here. Last one I see is victor Wooten. Please fix

-
gratefulsubekWhat leaves the heart, enters the heart.Incredible conversations and guests. Each episode is like a great meditation. I love your work and energy. Keep on truckin’
-
HuskerJeffStop with the politics!!I really enjoy this, most of the time, but I would rather hear the stories and interactions between the artists and the guests, rather than get clued in to everybody’s political leanings and racial accusations!! If you find this offensive, there’s always CNN and Fox News for politics!!
-
unbreakable netOteil is greatIn order for the show to be better, Oteil needs another cohost
-
ThisguywiththeappTerribleThese guys need to have their own opinions. All i hear is them quoting other people and what other people have learned. The epitome of not everyone should have a podcast
-
TheSloth78Great chemistryI’m really digging the chemistry between the two hosts and how they mesh well with a wide variety of guests on the show. It’s like they’ve been doing this for 20 years! Also, very insightful thoughts into conversations about relevant topics in the world we’re living in today
-
frustrated!!grrGreat podcastI’m a big fan of Oteil’s music. Wish I would have found the podcast sooner. It’s entertaining, but also has lots of insightful conversations and thoughts on this crazy time we are living through. I’ve also started getting back into playing music during the pandemic so It’s fun to listen to the conversation about music. I needed this.
-
lahdbxj evxThank you! This show is a breath of fresh air. I grew up with the band. I was a tour kid starting at age 3! Please have Donna on the show! She doesn’t get a fair hand with a lot of the community but I want to hear what she has to say!
-
jcorshenWhere’s JonWhy hasn’t Mayer been on the show? Great job guys!
-

-
Nicholas PromLove This Show!PLEASE get Sam Cutler on the show! We need to hear his road stories :)
-
Lars SwansonLet Oteil breatheOteil has a specific purpose here that is directly inhibited by Mike. Oteil searches for meaningful statements from guests, but often it is hard to get past Mike who often keeps the conversations comfortable and lighthearted (read: superficial) to get to those amazing nuggets of Oteil/guest dialogue. My other suggestion is to edit out technical difficulties and uncomfortable moments like when Mike asked the Mathews to switch to headphones in the middle of the interview. I love the podcast and am giving my feedback because I want to see it blossom into a movement! Great work guys.
-
BunsteadLet’s talkAbout raceThank you both for this episode. The sincerity of communication from both of you was truly beautiful. Both of I want to understand and this is how I feel... To be able to share both sides of that coin was really important and great! I’ve already shared this with several people. Thanks again, stay well and healthy!
