Rhyno182Previously entertaining running show ruined by medical misinformationNot sure what’s happened but a show about running and their influencer life, that was entertaining, has become chock full of medical misinformation and conspiracy theories. Maybe the old “no birds” joke became real or their hoping for a Rogan audience. In the new studio someone should write “podcasters that aren’t doctors should not give uniformed medical advice”. Seriously, I listened since its inception, watched the videos and participated in grit and this is tough. The running community practically runs on alternative medicine scams and that’s bad enough. If you try to fix an ankle with magic, maybe the worst is your out $20. Having people breezily spout nonsense that could literally kill someone if they listen to it instead of their doctor is not ok. Saying something is bad, based on uniformed opinion one week and then sorta saying you didn’t mean it the next, but then sorta doubling down again does not absolve the potential damage done. I like these guys (and gal) and will still watch the YouTube reviews bc they are qualified to talk about that. As for the pod, it’s not enough to fast forward pass the woo and misinformation. It’s time for me unsubscribe.

Mmmboi1234CommunityLove the show! As a runner in a small town I run alone. There are no running clubs or ways to be involved in the “ running community” that so many runners praise for being the reason they love the sport. So when I head out for my long runs on Saturdays I love to have the chatter of this podcast in my ears. Thank you for entertaining me!

APiddy24Best running podcast out thereBITR is the best podcast for all things running. Shoe and gear reviews, news on upcoming race events, race recaps, and a lot of humor. Great dynamic between the hosts Thomas, Meg and Robbe. Love the check ins! Really enjoyed the guest check in this past week from Firm Believer, Lin!
-
PaulRisdallIs Thomas really Bill Simmons? This show definitely scratches the itch of just talking running. I like it for long runs on the treadmill or multitasking. Thomas sounds exactly like Bill Simmons. I automatically picture Bill every time he speaks. 😂😂
-
Danic aA great listen while walking/runningWonderful podcast to listen to while walking/running. All three host bring their own unique perspective and the review of shoes are super helpful.
-
alext8105826Simply the bestHands down the best podcast around right now. The chemistry of the hosts is unmatched and a welcome addition to my podcast rotation. The randomness and sidetracked nature is completely relatable and hilarity ensues almost every episode. Keep up the great work

prrobdDouble Credit!Guys this podcast so good I watch on YouTube and then go to Apple Podcasts and forward though the episode so the podcast can get the credit also. Btw, cause yall asked about it last time I left a review…PR in name did stand for Puerto Rican cause of my ethnicity but after you guys mentioned it I changed it to Personal Best 😁

Correr22373889Political talkKind of upset by the comments suggesting people get overly worked up about abortion and making light of the importance of voting. I get that it’s not a politics podcast but maybe staying quiet is the best move if you aren’t very well informed.

Dawn140One of my favorites!I don’t normally write reviews but I had to tell you this show is one of my favorites! It’s informative but so funny- I also listen to Fuel for the Sole and love that one too!! Keep up the great work!

nuessy7 marathons on 7 continents - 7 daysYeah. That was a great show! It was my first The Drop, it will not be the last
-
DynotuningguyIt’s the humor for meI found The Drop late in my running journey but it seems right at the perfect time! I love the Friday podcasts the most, they are right before my long runs and this weeks drop was beyond perfect- I laughed several times which I needed on a day when the last thing I wanted to do was run! Thanks for the laughs, I can relate to my freaky face after I run 😂

Broke312Hours of rambling, and I love every minuteI could say so much, but I’ll try to be concise. Thomas going on bird, death, or attack dog tangents, Robbe’s latest trash escapades, and Meg attempting to hold it all together: this podcast is almost undefinable, but it’s great for ticking off the miles. I started running again in February ‘23, and I was more than a year behind on Drop episodes. You guys have been with me on every run, including my personal best 150-mile Grit-inspired July. I have lost 33lbs, and plan to drop another 30. I live in Austin, so I’m hoping to meet you all at the 2023 TRE. You keep me inspired. Oh, and the guests are alright, too. Meg, tell your mom hi!

Jake S 03Best Running Podcast Out ThereGreat podcast - the split show format has something for everyone, whether you want an easy listen that feels like sharing a few miles (and/or a few beers) with your local running group or more in-depth interviews with industry experts. I started listening about a year ago and the banter and humor helped keep my spirits up while recovering from a stress fracture and Thomas, Robbie, and Meaghan have been a staple on my long runs since. I’ve learned a lot that has helped me improve my running - the interviews are great and give a wealth of knowledge to help you find what works for you, but I’m also here for the tangents on ticks, Royal Farms coffee, and fireworks. I feel like a good bit of US running culture is centered in places like Colorado or Boston and while it’s always fun to see that, there’s also something refreshing, especially as a South-Central PA native, to see a group of down-to-earth runners on the east coast talking about stuff we can all relate to. And as a south-central PA native I can say that the occasional digs they make on my home state’s roads and drivers are fair and deserved. Love The Drop and Fuel for the Sole, keep up the awesome work!
-
SasterinoOne of my favoritesThis is the only podcast that makes me laugh out loud while I’m running. You guys are so funny and I love listening! Keep an em coming!
-
KDizzyThe bestCongrats to Thomas on his recent toothpaste victory. “Sweet, sweet paste.”
-
JennJoBAlways fun to listen to!Loved the episode with Robbe and Dr. Maffetone. Robbe was so genuine in asking questions and relating to the everyday runner. I go so much out of this episode. Love all the others, too!
-
very effective!Mostly good, with improvements neededI typically really enjoy The Drop, and the chemistry between the hosts is pretty evident when they’re having casual conversation. They all obviously have a solid running background, put out some thorough shoe reviews, and host some cool events. With that said, I wish they would do some more background research and vet their guests before engaging in certain topics. For instance, the interview with Phil Maffetone preaches advice that flies in the face of any sort of balanced training approach and, more specifically, the recommendations from the Fuel for the Sole pod. There was absolutely no pushback or any critique on his (IMO) insane approach, which feels really out of touch to listeners. The hosts would be well-served by gathering more context on some other ideas or conversations they have (like, just getting basic names and places incorrect looks careless). I really do enjoy their take on the running tech and shoes coming out, and hope they can take this feedback to heart!

Schmid b a cLiked this podcast a lot…until the Phil Maffetone episodeI generally like this podcast but just had to come on here and write this review because this episode really annoyed me and I couldn’t finish it. Around min 35, Phil says something along the lines of “just look around at any marathon and you can see how many fat people there are that aren’t thinking about their nutrition.” He then follows this up for 20 mins or so (until I stopped listening) discussing how sugar is the devil and keto is the way to go. I wanted to know if this episode was fact checked, because many of the things he was saying about keto diets and running have been debunked in the last few years in scientific study, and to me, this sounded like a lot of rambling opinions not based in scientific fact (I am a scientist) and I wanted to send a list of sources to refute what he was putting forth as fact. I didn’t like how the interviewer (was it Robbe? not sure, sorry) just agreed with him and didn’t challenge anything. Really disappointed in this episode. I like the episodes of the Drop where they are just chatting, the shoe reviews are interesting, and it’s generally very funny. But I really question some of the interviews they’ve done lately.

ChelleG19The running show that has it allLove this podcast so much. The mix of characters, stories, banter, reviews and interviews are the perfect entertainment for all the solo miles. Robbe and Thomas are not afraid to get a little weird sometimes and Meg can reel them in and keep them on track when necessary. The variety of guests is fantastic. Always appreciate an episode when I can LOL while running alone. The last episode with Robbe and Phil Mafetone was really good and I enjoyed the music talk at the end. Keep it up! Grateful for 2 episodes per week.
-
RunwmnRNShaved IceI love The Drop! I was listening to episode 176 today while on a very hot walk when you started talking about shaved ice. I grabbed my keys as soon as I got home and drove to a local shop to get one. They didn’t have Scratch, but a scoop of kiwi and pina colada was amazing. Thanks for your words.
-
TurindevBest running podcast out thereSo good! I have gotten several of my running crew hooked as well, it’s must listen material for all of my runs, be they short or long. It’s the perfect combination of running shoe information, goofing off and great running interviews.
-
1zstoneNot just a running podcastI’m not a big runner but I love the drop podcast. They’re funny and have a great rapport with each other and their guests.
-
Runner-AnnaEverything you want in a podcastThe Drop has humor, training insight, shoe reviews, excellent guests, and wonderful hosts who make running so much more enjoyable. Love this show and the team!

OzzieDNelsonWhere is BITRIs Believe in the Run in Maryland or Baltimore :)

TarifficKeep doing what you’re doing! Thanks to “Ali On The Run” podcast, I was led to “The Drop” and I’m in love! It’s like having best friends (albeit they are total strangers in reality) keeping you company and making you laugh out loud while you’re running, walking, or just folding laundry. It’s fun whether their nerding out on shoe talk or going down yet another wild tangent. The recipe is working and I can’t get enough! Keep up the good work! You even led me to my new favorite running shoes and a magic Achilles night wrap that has my husband shaking his head at me. I’m hopeful to join a BITR group run soon!

Scroll bar pleaseLaugh so hard I almost crashSometimes this show makes me laugh uncontrollably, which while running on Treadmills can be a hazard. There should be a caution warning or rating for runners safety. LOL But seriously, sometimes the topic will dive off and before you know it, BAM! Your comments will be so super spot on funny that it throws my stride off or I have to grab the rail. I’m sure I look like a wack! Love the show. I was one of the runners in Boston that got a headband. Wanted a hat, but just missed those. Cheers to keeping your content and you all REAL with your shoe …I mean show! Ha!
-
sayers27MeanderingThey kind of meander around for a while about random things—it they had timestamps that indicated when they actually talked about running the show would be greatly improved.
-
dinaann4983Feels like we are best friendsRecently discovered this podcast and instantly was obsessed. I love the rants and banter as well as the well informed running talk. Feels like I’m running with best friends. PS can we be friends??
-
MichelleRydbergAwesome!I just discovered the podcast a month ago, but it has instantly become my go to listen on all of my runs. I’m hooked!
-
Baldy25The 3 best friends that anyone could haveI’ve been a listener for 2 years at this point. I would say this and Ali on the run are my favorite podcast. They keep it fresh and entertaining. I don’t have to worry about them getting too into the weeds with stats and analytics. They just keep it fun. I love when Meaghan has to keep the 2 kids in check when they start veering into the most nonsense. Thomas is supposed to be the boss, but you’d never know that. Robbe is my favorite since he’s a renaissance man with his love of garbage, outdoors, and obscure indie bands. Like in the Hangover, they are the 3 best friends that anyone could have on a long run. Keep up the nonsense team!
-
Smith720Love the sillinessEnjoyable local podcast. We apparently just need to get them to try a KFC, and also maybe a few more CrossFit classes. Keep up with the long episodes, and I love the check ins!
-
Booyacafe1987Love itLove the podcast. I prefer the ones without the guests but mostly because the interviewer tends to interrupt the guest almost constantly. The interruptions flow better when it’s just the three of them. Loved the episode with Ali on the run. She was a master at deflecting interruptions 😂
-
All T@kenExcellent!I discovered your podcast just a few months ago. Since then I have gone back and listened to every single episode released to date and now can’t wait for new ones weekly. I love the interviews, but I think I love your ramblings even more. It feels like hanging out with friends, where no topic is off limits. Boys will be boys and then there is Meg who has to herd them 😂 Love the fun banter, shoe reviews and general everyday nonsense we get to hear about. Please keep doing what you’re doing! Toma.

ChargingDCGreatGreat running podcasts are a tough find. Many are elitist, technical and boring. This one hits a sweet spot for me by offering great running information, but mixing it with entertainment, fun and humor. Listening to it feels like hanging out with good running friends. I really enjoy it. This is by far my new favorite running podcast.
-
Wuss runnerVirtual running buddiesMy favorite podcast! I look forward to each episode. The Interviews are always great. The randomness is my favorite, and the new format allows the randomness to get really random. Love it! Like I’m hanging out with my friends. A running buddy and I discuss the show during our runs along with our randomness. Keep up the great work! Kudos to Brandon for editing. I’m sure he has his work cut out for him lol #birdsarentreal

RunnerNerd4A shark, a raccoon, and a pigeon walk into a bar…I love this podcast! I do my long runs on Fridays and listening to The Drop is like having three running nerd friends by my side. I laugh, occasionally I learn something, but mostly I laugh. I find the in depth reviews of the shoes and gear super helpful. You all have helped introduce to me to some of my all time favorite running shoes. All that said, the thing I appreciate most about this podcast is that listening to it reminds me to meet myself where I’m at. Listening to this I am both equally inspired to have big running goals and also feel understood when my training goes off the rails and I have a miserable. Thanks for everything you do, guys!
-
Lalo_997Do you even run bro?I don’t even care about running, I’m just here for the Pigeons aren’t Real movement. Love your show! I’m a truck driver always listening to podcast and my mondays & fridays are way more exciting now on the road. Love peas and carrots too haha Hope to meet ya’ll someday ❤️
-
whythisappsucksThe best running podcast.Loving the new format! This podcast does a great job of making you feel like your chatting with your friends. All things running with over all funny life stuff mixed in. Keep it up. Also Megan, Thomas and Robbie seem awesome and like genuinely good people.
-
Virginia Beach Runner11/10I’ve been listening for a while, mostly for the shoe nerd chat and the rambling, but it doesn’t hurt that I laugh out loud multiple times an episode. One of my favorites to listen to on the run thanks to the conversational nature and inspirational check ins from Thomas throughout. I credit the Drop for my new perspective on the validity of birds as well as an impulse purchase of sale Alpha Fly V1s.
-
Scott Kay2Your Mom Will Love ItIs your Mom a runner? Doesn't matter. She'll love the banter between the Believe in the Run crew on The Drop. Who knows? Maybe she'll pick up a pair of AlphaFly 2's (Sorry, Meaghan) and throw down a marathon. Or lace up some Max Road 5's for an easy run and stop to do a little dumpster diving with Robbe. Perhaps, she's more she prefers something with a little less drop and reaches for a pair of the latest Kinvaras to nail that PR like Thomas. Don't get the references? You would if you listened. It's like Fuel for the Sole while putting down those training miles (snuck in another one!).
-
CarterATateExactly what I’m looking forI am LOVING the new format, guys. I’m one of the weirdos who sticks around for the entire banter session and sometimes replays them because you guys remind me so much of me and my running buddies, and now I can cherry pick the interviews (love the athlete interviews). You guys are the perfect accompaniment for my Monday strength gym sessions distracting me from the lift-and-scream bros and for my commute when I’m looking to purge from stupid work stuff. For Robbe’s review: what is your favorite Tracksmith fabric and why is it the Strata gear. Keep rocking it, guys!
-
hardcore 4 lifeGreat showI agree with Thomas’ last check in, the new format works. Having more time for the random life and running talk is great. Absolutely my favorite podcast. Keep the content coming
-
DaniColbyEven Better Than True CrimeI’ve been listening to The Drop for about a month now and you’ve taken the top spot in my favorite podcast list (yes, even above my true crime podcasts!) I have a little FOMO about previous episodes, so I’m listening to the older ones in between new episodes. And athough I find the interviews interesting, my favorite part is definitely the rambling banter, so I’m loving the new format. Hoping to meet y’all someday, somewhere! Keep running!
-
Sean McNultsLove the podcast!I don’t need Robbe to write anything but love your podcast! Keep up the good content and come do a run the dmv area!
-
Mustangmike66You’ve Locked Me Into Your Gravitational FieldI’ve found myself consuming all you have to offer. Website, shoe reviews, Instagram and both podcasts. Maybe not all I can’t do the $120 Tracksmith hoodie. Your updated format is perfect for my long runs. I especially like The Drop when Meg, Thomas & Robbe are pontificating about whatever comes to mind. I find myself laughing a out loud while on my Saturday long runs. Thanks for the entertainment, keep it up!
-
sean_larson_262Perfect long run companion podcastThese podcasts are the perfect companion to my long runs when I just need to zone out and chip away at the miles. There have definitely been moments that had me laughing out loud (like discussing how a certain Maurten product could become a volcano science project in your stomach). The new format is perfect as I prefer to listen to their ramblings during my long runs as you’ll never know what they might talk about next. Shoes, birds, becoming a citizen of Antartica, it’s all fair game. Also trying to take Robbe up on his offer to review anything in my life. Robbe, please review my proposal to my fiancé last March. After two years of dating, we went snowshoeing with a couple friends and I proposed to her at Mt. Rainier. Of course she said yes and now we are just a few months away from our wedding in the San Juan Islands.
-
jk dkncfGreat podcast!I love this podcast! I feel like I’m running with friends when I’m listening on a run because I don’t have anyone to run with. The guests are great. I often find myself laughing at loud. Good thing I live in a rural area and there’s nobody around to hear me. I appreciate the shoe reviews, it helps me decide on my next pair. Keep up the great work!
-
TheZolinatorPretty decentI like the podcast, because it’s pretty entertaining, especially for long runs. It makes crack up occasionally We all know that I wrote this review for the Robbe offer: Can you write a review of my future six-pack abs?
-
ma engelMary Ann’s ReviewHi it’s your friend Mary Ann! I had wanted to say on my min of silence I recored during strep, that I feel like a cool middle of the pack runner thanks to you!!!! I’m like Robbie’s older sister I don’t take things too seriously ! But the tips I’ve learned like the New York Times intel was beyond!!!!! But also the Devon Yako episode was the most meaningful to me as a Lupus runner. I have sent it to friends to explain why I run! Excellent interview Robbie! Good luck to you all and excited to see what you guys are planing in the future! p. s my husband bought a tracksmith hoodie after seeing my BITR one!!!! 😜
