JoejeffersHad enough? If you guys don’t want to do the show anymore just don’t do it. Stop doing the show on an iPhone and put in some effort.

SkierGolferSounds like drunk college kidsNot professional at all. OpenSnow is a serious app for diehard skiers. Why do you think we want to hear this drivel? Where is the weather discussion? The stupid giggles and laughs is a waste of time. By the way, I’ve been a paid subscriber for seven years. This podcast does not help your brand image in any way. Please be professional.

Mc083Great ContentDidn’t think I’d be so entertained listening to people talking about weather.

BmiltenbergNew show format ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Loved the new show format kicking off in dec 2023. Previous episodes were too filled with previous 5-day totals going resort by resort, for an audience who is like already well versed in that information. Loved the idea of making the show itself a conversation about larger weather concepts and events (orographics) etc than about the simple numbers we all see within the open snow app. I’d love to further see the regional forecasters come in and explain what makes their regions overall—and particular resorts within them—tick in terms of desired ideal weather patterns, like Evan did for Alta in this one.

NFMEYER14Glad You’re Back!Love the podcast! I look forward to it every week. I live in Bend, OR and would love to hear you touch on Mt. Bachelor a little more frequently. The Mt. Hood resorts get a lot of love (for good reason), and even Anthony Lakes and Mt. Ashland, but Bachelor is the best (and biggest) resort in the state. Wink wink Anwyay, keep up the great work and providing the most accurate forecasting anywhere!

Archery.43Non skier fanHey guys, I'm not a skier, heck I dont even like snow, lived in the Truckee/Nevada City area in the 70s thru 90s (yeah I'm old) and the closest I got to skiing or boarding was playing music in the local lodges and playin tunes for a room at Ski Inn hah. But I am somewhat of a weather nerd, and have been following you guys since FB Tahoe Weather BA , always solid forecasts a lot of fun. Good stuff. Mike B

KByeahLoving the new formatJust wanted to write in to say, yes! The most recent episode, January 2, 2023, is finally what I always hoped this show would be like. Rather than a laundry list of which mountain got a few inches of snow (this information is better accessed on opensnow.com anyway) I think all listeners prefer regional recaps of locations that got hammered, nerdy whether science, snow stories, and general forecast predictions. Obviously, it helps to have big weather news, but I think all listeners, wherever they are located, would rather shows about specific regions getting buried rather than knowing the specific amounts of inconsequential snowfall that fell in various areas in the last five days. Hope this doesn’t come across as critical, I’ve been listening since the beginning, just wanted to let you know, I think you finally nailed it!

aigcal13Local snow nerdFollowing your daily snows for a few years. Awesome and entertaining podcast. If you need some guests next season let me know. I am a recent UNR snow hydro grad with many peers within that group doing some super cool snow science in California. PS: first Cali Avy death was up near Shasta in February I believe.

pbarn2000One of a Kind!Great unique podcast if you’re a snow or weather nerd like me! Used to live in Truckee. Saw almost 10’ of snow there in MAY about 2003(?), so it makes me feel like I’m back home talking weather at the Bar of America (used to do that at O.B.’s which is now sadly gone). Regardless, thank you guys and Open Snow for this gem, which I hope continues for many ski seasons to come! -pb

Brian1825Amazing podcast!!When it drops on Tuesday, it’s the highlight of my week! I really love hearing their analysis of snowfall. It’s also really funny to hear their banter about the lack of snow in California. My friends have joked that I talk about this show too much. I’ll miss this during the summer. I know that you guys said that it does not make economic sense for you two to make the show during the summer. If it was possible, I’d donate money for summer episodes on patreon or something. If not, an OpenSummit team would be great for an equivalent show.

Willpon70Really really enjoyedMy first episode was the Atmospheric River episode & I really really enjoyed it. Just when I was worried you would not get technical into “the River,” you brought on homie that was from Hurricane Hunters or NOAA to discuss & the convo was awesome! I really hope that when we move into the summer months, you gentlemen who normally work for Open Snow find other weather events to discuss such as Hurricanes, derechos, monsoons, El Niño, or weather as it relates to fire season dangers, etc to keep the podcast going. Maybe historic winters such as the huge avalanche that destroyed the building at Alpine Meadows.

iwoody808Have quest back!First huge fan of the podcast and hope it succeeds. Also don’t worry about the haters who get all out of whack because they can’t understand the basics of probability. They probably want a yes/no answers for avalanche forecasts as well. So I loved the question that asked the long term forecaster to explain his theory in plain language in 4 min. I was so excited! Then never once in conversation did that question get answered! A cursory explanation of some person’s repeating theory and 500 mb and that was it. Totally frustrating. Please DO have him back on the podcast and at least give us *some of the theory.* Loved the kudos to him and discussion about at least TRYING to advance beyond 10 days

Danny elekPasses the testI debuted this podcast last night as I went to bed. It did the trick just right. Faithful follower of BA from twd and now to OS. Pray for snow. Would love it if y’all got into climate change And your thinking on it.

Steve ThinksBest Tahoe Weather ForecastI’m stoked for this podcast. I’ve been following BA’s forecasts for years. Definitely the most reliable source. Thanks for doing what you do!

Karl J. AndersonExcellent Start to an Underserved AudienceSince moving to the Sierra in 2017, I’ve been follow BA on Open Snow daily. His writing is crisp, informative, and laser-focused on skiing. Now that he is putting his content into a podcast, I’ll anticipate his weekly reports with as much fervor as seeing low pressure digging into West coast on the forecast. While the guy puts out more content than any weather writer I read, I’m thankful he can find the time to put up this podcast. With excitement, The Pow Shredding Pastor
