    Very different
This is my first time ever hearing this podcast. The first episode I listened to was “making sense if your dog’s behavior.” It was kinda weird hearing them continuously compare humans being tired to a dog being tired. My assumption of “a tired dog is a happy dog” was tiring them of that energy that could result in hyperactivity, reactive, and/or destructive and even disobedience. Through exercise, play, activities, training etc. Especially since they are professionals. Just a little weird.

    Dog nerds are awesome!
I always encourage more dog podcasts out there. I am a dog nerd myself, and I am always a little preoccupied by the fact that dogs aren’t always trained well and, of course, every dog I see I want to pet. And for most people, it’s the same. Except most dogs are not trained or not well behaved. That’s why I’m stuffing my brain with as much dog facts as possible so that when I encounter a dog such as what I named, I can help the dog be well behaved and I’ll be better for everyone the dog meets. P. S. Adopt dogs! Rescue dogs are the BEST!

    Super informative and enjoyable!
Absolutely love this podcast! The hosts are knowledgeable and provide great insight. There’s so so much helpful information shared in each episode. I also really appreciate the range of various topics discussed in this podcast. Some episodes that focused on topics which I initially didn’t think I’d be particularly interested in, ended up being my favorite! Love the format and discussions.🐾 Really enjoyable to listen to!

    Separation Anxiety with Beth Berkobien
As a new dog owner of a sweet pup with SA, I have felt anxious myself about how to help our dog and get our family’s life back to a normal routine. Beth clearly explains the importance of treating and helping our dogs work through the original fear and emotion behind SA rather than just “fixing” the undesirable behaviors. She gives great examples to liken SA to human experiences, which better equipped my husband and I to understand what our dog was experiencing. Lastly, she does a wonderful job of breaking down each “myth” of helping dogs with SA- with so much information on the internet, it was so helpful to hear truth from a trusted source! What an amazing episode. Also amazing practical tips to start the work of desensitizing under threshold.
