    soren… baltimore…
i genuinely love this podcast with my whole heart. i found out about it in 2022 and it’s amazing. the voice actors are amazing and talented people (go check all their socials out!!) blue mayfield is a very creative guy and im so thankful this exists. i’ve loved this podcast for two years straight and my interest in it hasn’t died down one bit. i’ve bought merch and even interacted with some of the voice actors!! people talk about this podcast and only mention that will wood did the music. though he IS an insanely talented artist (hes been my favorite for years now and is how i discovered this podcast), i think we should give some credit to the amazing cast of this. i’ve met so many friends and had such a fun time in the community. (also soren baltimore is the best character i love him so much.)

    Love it
Like a bizarre hybrid of Welcome to Nightvale and Camp Camp. The first season works as a really good inter character drama/supernatural comedy, but the episode descriptions are brilliant at alluding to unseen bigger picture making me want to see more. I heard the second season is in production so I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

    Incredible
Saying that is good or even great doesn’t even begin to cover the incredible masterpiece that is this story. Mystery, twists, humour, enticing, layered characters, and WILL WOOD. Muah, chefs kiss. This is a story I would never wish upon anyone to miss out on.

OKAY i recently got into will woods music and I listened to the camp here & there album. I thought it was really good and then found out it was from a PODCAST. Started listening and holy crap this is really good. It reminds me a lot of “Welcome to nightvale” which I could never fully get into. But THIS is exactly the story podcast I’ve been looking for. The horror mixed with the comedy really blends well together and I listen to the music outside of the podcast. Very amazing 11/10. Mwa😼 -Nico

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CURRENT RUNNING PODCAST!
My friend’s been getting me to listen to a bunch of fiction podcasts, and this is by far my favorite! The humor is so charming, the writing is amazing, and the themes are handled so maturely. On top of that, representation is amazing. I cannot praise this podcast enough. I’m super excited for season 2. As soon as I’m old enough to become a pattern (and have the money to do so) I’ll be supporting this podcast as much as I can! Keep up the good work 👍

    Nice work!
Insanely amazing music- perfect for the material. Loved the premise and wild creativity of the writing . The format of the announcements reporting the crazy things that happened in between is really imaginative. I am impressed by the production quality. All in all an interesting and very enjoyable podcast!

    Fun Spooky Podcast
Great remise of a kid’s camp in a post-Yellow King landscape (though we don’t know why it’s like that). Really fun point of view from the camp’s nurse who likes the kiddo’s informed, loved, and entertained. A little Welcome to Nightvale-esque with an equally cute but less stable romantic relationship. Love the energy and the voice acting direction. Love the world that the writers have created for the camp.

    AMAZING
Everything about this show is incredible and makes me love it more. The art, music, storytelling, and acting makes me so happy. Highly highly highly recommend. One of the best shows of this year

Came for Will Wood. Stayed for everything else.
So, I don’t listen to podcasts. Pretty much ever. I have a really hard time focusing on them, plus, as someone who watches every show with subtitles on, purely audio-based mediums can be a little intimidating. BUT! Not only does this show have transcripts available, which is awesome, I actually got super engaged in the story and for the past week, I’ve found myself choosing to listen to this podcast instead of music, which is really rare for me. The plot is great, the characters are wonderful (I love them all so much, I cried listening to the last episode), and this is the second podcast I have EVER finished. And since the first one was only 3 episodes, it doesn’t really count. So uh, yeah. Good job guys!

I really like this podcast! At first I wasn’t really into it, but I kept going because my favorite musician composed the songs, and I’m really glad I did, I ended up finishing it it two day! I really recommend

    Pretty Great!
I think this, as given by the title, is pretty great for what it is. A great first season that opens a lot of doors for many more to come, which im excited for, great lore, charismatic and immediately-lovable characters, good pacing, and phenomenal voice performances. I only have a few gripes with it, such as I felt it hasn't been doing a wonderful job with balancing horror and comedy. There are very jarring switches sometimes that can make the story being told hard to keep up with. I also felt Sydney's voice acting wasn't fantastic (or at least not on-par with the rest of the cast) which made it difficult for me to fully get invested into him as a character. The other characters have wonderful voices, and oftentimes i felt they had just set two or three actors loose in a recording booth, all the conversations felt so natural and compelling. Also the self call outs are hilarious. The delivery men were my favorite part and I really hope they make a return in season 2, they made me giggle every time they were onscreen- on.. audio? Overall, it's great, and I'm going to recommend it to all my friends :)

    Supernatural Fun With Character Drama
This supernatural comedy/horror drama with mystery elements follows the events at a summer camp, with most episodes including a mealtime report of camp activities followed by a more angsty section of character introspection and interaction. Themes include lack of autonomy, friendship/love (distanced friendships and desire for reconnection, miscommunication and lack of communication), especially in the main developing romance, and death/rebirth. Starting as a glimpse into a strange summer camp, the complicated character dynamics brought to life through acting and dialogue and developing mystery surrounding the camp and main character kept me invested in the story. The humor in earlier episodes especially is similar to that of Night Vale (nonchalant reporting of absurd happenings, a guy the main character hates and goes on tangents about). The music is great.

my favorite podcast OF ALL TIME
this is such an amazing podcast and the dedication and love put into every line, plot, joke, and character truly shines. the way that this podcast it put together and narrated can’t compare to the others. i truly love it- my current hyper-fixation ahah <3 as a FTM chronically i’ll teenager (and summer camp counselor), connecting with Sydney on a personal level and having love for this character is no challenge for me. i cant express my excitement to see where you guys take this podcast in the future. it’s a perfect mix of comedy, horror, and interesting plots that draw you in- every. single. time. i sincerely from the bottom of my heart mean it when i say, keep it up. we love you it

    Amazing podcast!
I haven’t been this hooked on a fiction podcast in so long! The writing is so clever and feels so genuine combined with the intriguing story and world. Plus the music is amazing. I hope there are more seasons in the future and I look forward to more projects from this production company!

I’m on the edge of my seat
What starts off as a glimpse of a strange summer camp slowly turns into a gripping, surreal, terrifying, hilarious, heartbreaking supernatural mystery. The interaction between characters is emotionally compelling and complicated, but still manages to stay upbeat with humorous announcements from our beloved camp nurse Sydney (he/him). This is the kind of show that I would encourage the listener to take notes. Half the time I can’t tell if something is plot relevant or wacky miscellaneous world building. Don’t forget to read the show notes. Do NOT skip the opening music. Will Wood is a genius and every time the intro plays I’m compelled to do a little dance as my body floods with serotonin. TLDR listen to this show you’re welcome

i look forward to every thursday
i love the characters, especially sydney :). the podcast is great at creating a sense of weird spookiness as well as creating emotional scenes. also the music, especially the opening theme, is awesome. i like it a lot, would recommend :D
  • Chuck icududuihhfgtgh
    good show!
the characters are charming, and I would lay down my life for sydney. the story is interesting so far (im only on episode 4). but it seems to have a bit of trouble balancing the serious with the silly. penguins are difficult to get invested in. in addition, camp here and there tries perhaps too hard to emulate nightvale. its a reasonable thing to do— nightvale is good. and so is this. but i hope this podcast learns to stand on its own two feet eventually

wtnv to tma to camp here and there pipeline
one of my favorite podcasts, i do end up having to listen to it in approximately 5-episode chunks just because it causes Some Emotions, but tbh i consider that a plus <3

    Best Story.
I can’t praise this show enough. The sheer detailing put into the eerie descriptions of strange phenomena, the world seen through the eyes of the camp counsellors? Magnificent. The strangely but wonderfully paced episodes, based solely off of tape recordings and the meal announcements made by a charmingly honest and mildly disturbed nurse? I am eating this stuff up. It has held my last few days together with goo-based glue, and I wait excitedly for every new episode to come.
  • HonestReviewer84
    great all around
wow, this show is fantastic! i just got caught up, and i'm so invested in all these characters. the relationships between all of them are fantastic, and the voice acting is wonderful. i also love the almost second story hidden in the descriptions. looking forward for more!

    Very Creative
This is a funny, creatively written show! Great performances! My only request: please write descriptive show notes! I don’t want any potential listeners to click away due to not understanding the episode descriptions. Thanks for having transcripts on your website!

    Keeps you on your toes
My absolute favorite podcast, I started listening because Will Wood makes the music, and it’s so random and quirky, and weird stuff is normal, and normal stuff is weird. And of course the lgbtq+ representation makes it even better ❤️

    It has EVERYTHING
Camp Here and There has a compelling plot, fascinating characters, wonderful voice acting, and so much more. I can’t wait to discover the mysteries and secrets hidden in the episode notes and to see where the story takes me. If you like Welcome to Night Vale or The Magnus Archives, Camp Here and There is an absolute must to listen to next.

    Fantastic!
Just really really well done: voice acting, music, story…. I’m excited to hear more and see where the story goes! Also, I cannot express how much I love the theme tune.
