Walshs13This is good.I love Mr Steele’s sense of rughteous indignation , which he brings to life with a panoply of voices, characters, and accents.

DerekSmalls1984Maria McErlaneMark, don’t bring on guests that spread lies and Russian disinformation. It reflects badly on you and the show if you let that kind of stuff slide. Otherwise, I love the show.

Consume0812Intimidated by Intelligent Women?Ok, If you've been listening to the world-class (in English) satirist Alice Fraser, or any other brilliant female comedian, this is an example of a softening : it's a conversation where she's comfortable w/another world-class satirist interviewing her. I've never heard her like this.

KermbabeOut of bodyImagine this; I am in the grocery store, disconnected from those around me by the AirPods playing What the F is going on, when I hear my name. Being a dedicated solipsist, I though little of it. I continued to nonchalantly pluck avocados until I realized that this was not, in fact, at all normal. It took a few moments to remember that I had signed up as a Patreon supporter after a quota of insightful and amusing comments had been reached. I encountered Mark first on The Bugle, and on The Last Post. A distinctive and trenchant voice indeed. I will be in the UK in early April and hope to arrange my travel to allow attendance at the show in Radlet.

Lit Crit PhDSteel Meet MaherGreetings from the States. As the Scottish 2nd Referendum approaches in fewer than 18 months, Bill Maher, a center-left satirist, stand-up, and host, who is concerned with the mistakes of the far left and the “woke” culture wars, will want satirists from the UK on Real-Time with Bill Maher. In particular I’d like to see Andrew Maxwell and Mark Steel on there. Usually this happens in LA, but since covid, his producers seem more flexible. However, there are so many ratings for that older podcast & HBO show that his current casting producers would never get to my review and would not see my request. Meanwhile, I would like to see the producers for Mr. Steel invite Mr. Maher on What the F Is Going On…? because I lack twitter etc. And each of the s.m. platforms refuse to let me send a proper message to any of the casting producers for Mr. Maher. As a trained rhetorician, and academic, I do not find it useful for myself to be on twitter & no one seems to share email addresses anymore. But I image that the producers for Mr. Steel have enough “followers” such that they can contact the producers for Mr. Maher by twitter or by linked-in in order to have Mr. Maher use zoom to be on the program. In particular having the producers for Mr. Maher listen to Episode 39 with the PR analyst would be most helpful for them. Thanks, Dr. Michael

RipRybnikarOne of the ways I learn about the UKThank you Mark and Elliot for helping me understand What The F*** Is Going On...? somewhere. (Across the ocean to the west we are completely lost.) This podcast is crisp, timely, and smart, but with a bit of coarse mustard for texture. Having discovered this program I now pay greater attention to my iTunes feed for updates. Elliot was new to me, Mark and many of his other guests I had heard elsewhere but I was delighted to discover Sarah Alexander's many voices. All great material.

atravelerSimply brilliant!I look forward to each episode every week. Mark is funny, and has been a favorite of mine for years. Here you will hear him totally unleashed with no constraints. The impression of George Galloway is spot on, but my favorite part is the jingles. Pretty outstanding! Go on … give it a listen … you’ll love it!
