    Great
I love this podcast. JSM is so knowledgeable! I live vicariously through his stories. Dave Mack, thanks for making things light but please stop interrupting. As soon as JSM starts down a path you jump in and summarize the whole story.

    Preys on Vunerable
I have enjoyed JSM for years, first on Nancy Grace. So I was excited about his podcast. JSM claims to be an advocate for crime victims who are often part of the vulnerable population. The ads on the most recent show are for Casinos and California Psychic, a charge per minute psychic hotline. These companies prey on the vulnerable population, and since JSM is comfortable taking money from them to advertise and target his audience, he is no better. I thought he had integrity, I’m disappointed.

    Amazing Podcast
I absolutely love JSM and now I love this podcast. JSM and Dave Mack make an incredible team. Dave definitely keeps it light and fun while laying the details and JSM is so incredibly interesting and so full of useful information. And their voices! Like they were made for this! I absolutely love the episodes where JSM teaches us something about being a medical examiner instead of focusing on a specific case. Just an overall incredible podcast!

    What?
I like the topics but that one man’s dry mouth or too much spit makes me nauseous. Get a drink dude. I just can’t listen to him. I feel bad for the other guy.

    Iheart supported Ted Cruz
Love this podcast but I will not remain subscribed to any platform that supports traitors like Ted Cruz.

    Too Slow
Couldn’t make it through one episode. Same information repeated continuously, without getting to the point. Too slow of a pace for me.

    Black Swan
I followed this case on Law and Crime but missed the verdict. I was happy to hear the synopsis on Body Bags until……. Dave Mack’s commentary about Republicans. Not all Republicans are as he described. Some are just interested in the effects of inflation and uncontrolled immigration. Most don’t care about the things he ranted about. Do we have to include politics at every turn?
  • SlothsSwimWeirdHuh?
    Love this podcast
I’m confused though with Black Swan episode. 35 min of bashing a woman calling her a scam artist? But I’m over here as a mother figure thinking “If that was my daughter, I’d tell her to get the heck away from that guy! He’s showing the red flags 🚩 of a controlling psycho!” He’s way too old for her which gives him control because women his own age wouldn’t fall for that. He funds her business which again gives him control over that, then actually reversed vesectomy-clearly not in her best interest that’ll ruin her career and model body, rushes into marriage-he asked her? Did he not? She can’t even pack the moving van the way she wants/ makes most sense! Not saying what she did was right..idk this case..but 🚩everywhere

    Evil has a tattooed face…
You both spent a lot of time going down a rabbit hole that didn’t actually exist: he got his facial tattoos AFTER his arrest for the murders. The comparison to Tibbet’s murderer was also misguided & sounded racist. A little research goes a long way to prevent promoting false narratives. Truth actually matters

    Captivating Story Telling
Jo Scott tells a story with great detail and depth and his cohort Dave helps to reveal all the pieces of the puzzle! Excellent podcast, highly recommend!

    My favorite podcast, but…
I love this podcast. Joe is a wealth of knowledge. A brilliant man with a old-fashioned storytelling style. My only complaint is that his co-host Dave keeps interrupting him at the most interesting times. Dave has a good voice and good chemistry with Joe but he really has to remember that it isn't his show, it’s Joe’s.

Talk too Much About Random Nonsense
I’ve only listened to one episode and it will be my last. The episode I listened to was titled “A Mother’s Discovery.” The episode started off with the hosts talking endlessly about things not really related to the crime. In addition, they spent some time defending why police don’t put much effort into finding missing adults. I agree that police can’t spend as much time and effort on missing adults because many “missing” adults have actually just chosen to disappear. However, within that discussion, the hosts mentioned that if any civilian is upset by the lack of police effort towards missing adults then we (the citizens) should “gas up our cars” and look for the missing ourselves. Umm, no. We, the citizens, unlike the police department aren’t paid to find missing people. We, the taxpaying citizens, PAY the police to find the missing; therefore, we have every right to voices our concerns about the lack of effort or investigation by the police. Unlike the police it is NOT the job of the citizens to find missing people.

    Great educational true crime podcast
I have listened to so many True Crime podcasts over the years but since coming across this one it is my go to. There are podcasts out there to learn about the psychological aspects of true crime but this one teaches about what happens upon arriving at the crime scene and the death investigation itself from a former death investigator. Joseph Scott Morgan and his cohosts are brilliant.

    Love this podcast
I love this podcast and the host. I listen to every episode as soon as it drops. Thanks making this one!
  • jgloveless
    Love this podcast BUT….
I love everything about this podcast EXCEPT the ads! There are literally 3 minutes of ads at the beginning, the end and every 10 minutes and somehow they are louder than the audio is normally and they are of the most annoying topics possible like online gambling. I know JSM has no control over this but PLEASE get a patreon and let us enjoy your expertise without someone yelling about CHUMBA CASINO every few minutes.

    Great show but one request
Please include the names of the victims in your episode name or summary. I love the rapport with Joe and Dave. Thanks for showing empathy and compassion to victims and families.

    Do Not Miss “Body Bags”
"Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan" is one of my very favorite podcasts. It goes beyond the usual true-crime stories, taking listeners on an exciting journey into forensic science. Jo Scott, with his many years of experience, shares his deep knowledge in a way that is both impressive and easy to understand. His Southern charm makes each episode enjoyable and interesting, turning complicated forensic details into stories anyone can follow. He talks about the victims with great respect and sensitivity, showing a level of care that is often missing in true-crime shows. Listeners will love Jo Scott’s attention to detail and how he blends forensic facts with captivating narratives. His work as a forensic investigator and university educator and his understanding of the human side of forensics make "Body Bags" more than just a podcast—it’s a learning experience. His commitment to presenting the facts and respect for victims and their families resonates in every episode, making this a must-listen for anyone curious about crime, science, and humanity. Co-host Dave Mack adds even more to the show. Together, they create a great team, making the podcast both informative and entertaining. Dave’s questions and commentary align perfectly with Jo Scott’s explanations, making their partnership a key part of what makes the podcast great. In short, "Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan" is an amazing podcast that tells forensic stories with honesty, care, and a bit of Southern flavor. You will not regret adding it to your podcast rotation.

    Not a story teller
I have listened to a lot the episodes on this podcast and every time I find myself having to look up more info on the case. They don’t really tell the story. They can be quite confusing.

    Great chemistry!!
I have enjoyed listening to this podcast. Mr. Morgan explains the cases in a way that is both informative and respectful to the victims. Dave Mack is very inquisitive and asks all the right questions. Not only do I enjoy the discussions, I also enjoy Mr. Scott’s impressive vocabulary! The only drawback I have, is that he doesn’t do an episode every day!!

    Sound/ volume
I enjoy the content in this podcast. Proud JSU nursing grad. Can you do anything about legalizing the volume. The host speaks in a lower tone and volume so I have to crank up the volune. The second person talks louder and I need to turn the volume down. Would be nice to set the volume and just enjoy the podcast. Thanks

I have a similar background to Joseph Scott Morgan and listening to him makes me feel like I am talking at dinner with an old friend and colleague. His descriptions of forensic cases are accurate and really give a true feel of the work experience of death investigation and autopsy.

    A great listen
I found this via Nancy G’s podcast and I’m so glad I did. I really appreciate the host’s experience, and knowledge. I enjoy the way he discusses cases. Im over the true crime podcasts where there’s off topic commentary, disrespectful tones and/or giggling and uninformed opinions. Keep up the good work!
