Ben too often channels his wife when evaluating politics in the Trumpian age, but he’s by far the best commentator on this podcast. Not sure why his interlocutors feel the need to use foul language. Pretty lame and juvenile, which is pretty much a good description of them and their contributions.

I know Ben Domenech’s voice, but the others, no idea who they are. I should not have to send the podcast to NSA to figure out who I’m listening to. But the discussions are intelligent, interesing, with just the right amount of humor. Typical of whatever programs Ben Domenech runs. They don’t take themselves too seriously, even as they discuss serious topics. And it is not all politics. Lot of infusion of contemporary cultural issues, that lightens the show. Movies and stuff like that.

The Spectator must be careful, expanding rapidly into the USA has led to questionable journalism. The latest interview with Monica Crowley is a case in point, both the interviewee and the interviewer were childish and didn’t go beyond schoolboy taunts. “You’re old”, “No, you’re old”. Buck up Speccie, remember what happened to Punch! A 150 year history can be wiped out by a few third rate hires.
