Big fan, and I will continue to listen after I voice my complaint here. Tyler has been struggling to grasp reality amid his Trump-Elon euphoria. The weekly roundups have taken a massive quality hit since Trump won the election, leading me to quit episodes halfway through when I would normally finish. It is not all rosy—it never is. And I am entirely uninterested in hearing how DOGE will save the world. I hope we can get back to basics soon. The Trump bump erasure this week thanks to (probably, mostly) lower chance of rate cuts and Trumps rocky cabinet picks was obviously not enough of a shock. I felt the need to voice my frustrations. Keep up the good work guys.

Listened to the post election show today. These guys are clowns. They talked about how people voted for Trump because they want “the truth” despite his entire campaign (and last four years of election loss denial) being based in delusion. They think governments will benefit from strategic bitcoin reserves. If you think that sounds smart, you’ll love them. Unfortunately, the market can remain irrational longer than people who understand economics can remain solvent, so they may be right a few more years before the crash eventually happens. The next crypto bubble is underway. Worth following at least one of the pro-Musk voices to see what the insider ponzi trades are, but I don’t recommend this one.

Once again Danielle Booth proffers a decisive and insightful analysis. She brings truthful and cogent arguments to the interview. It is probably not comfortable for many financial pundits who push wishful agenda ahead of analysis offered by Danielle Booth that is comprehensive and not “sugar-coated.” 19 MAY 2024 Episode-Incredible Financial History The Mel Mattison interview is an absolute requirement for anyone interested in macroeconomics. His explanation of the Eurodollar origins in the 20th century and current implications is masterful.

Di Martino Booth is a gad fly who parlayed her mid tier position at one of the least important Feds to feign being an insider with special knowledge. She carries just enough water for them be be invited to various cocktail parties. She has no special knowledge.

Excellent format with the focus kept on the core content and analysis from top quality interview guests. Few unnecessary frills, all “meat and potatoes” so to speak.

Been listening for roughly 2 years now, and I don’t remember Jack being this rude. I think he’s trying to come off as being direct and straight to the point. But he just sounds rude. still love the content, but I find myself listening to Mike’s podcast more these days.

Excellent podcast where you get detailed information from a very knowledgeable host who asks all the important questions and generally very special guests who are experts in their field. You get all of this without wasting any time on commercials and ads. Highly recommended for people who want to get detailed information on financial topics.

Objective. Insightful. Valuable. Great questions from a super knowledgeable host of incredible guests. Has helped me to shape my own thinking and to change my mind on a couple of ideas, getting me out of my own bubble of information.

As a broadcaster his curiosity informs his questioning and he doesn’t push an agenda but let’s the guests explain their analysis. Best financial show in all media. Seriously—he deserves an award for excellence in journalism.

Forward Guidance has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts in finance & economics. Jack has gotten an incredible lineup of guests and is a superb host.

It’s hard to overstate how good this podcast is. If your goal is to learn, get out of your echo-chambers, listen to both side of the stories in Macro, AND listen to an interviewer who would push back on every point when possible, I have not found a better podcast.

So…great show. One thing: didn’t “I worked at the Fed” Joseph Wang state that SVB was a “one off?” Guess not: a few hours later when he showed up again and talked exclusively about a bank he seems to know very little about — and blame it on the “the stupid.” Interest rate swaps duh! Derivatives! Duh. CLOs! Duh..Where does the Fed figure in in all this confusion? No one apparently knows. Why does Wang keep showing up everywhere making bad analyses that flop a few hours later? We get he hates tech and is all about the working stiff who should have money in Fed backed money markets— and definitely not banks. 4.75 pc. No this is about SVB and “rich people”. Understood. Tech financing is gone. Happy?

Have been listening to Jack from before this podcast and he’s one of my favorite interviewers. Comes with the most relevant and interesting questions for his guests..bravo👏

This is an awesome macroeconomics podcast. It’s relevant, interesting, and informative.

Jack is a great interviewer, he has on knowledgeable guests, and he is also always careful to explain things in terms a retail investor can understand. I also really appreciate when he draws out specific actionable ways the macro thesis can be expressed in trades.

As soon as an episode is released, I’m all over it. This is honestly one of the best podcasts out there and the pod always keeps me informed. Jack always asks stellar questions to get the most out of any guest and his lineup is fantastic. This one is a diamond 💎.
