Hollywood Confessional

Hollywood secrets... anonymously told.

"You'll never work in this town again."

For decades, those words -- or the sentiment behind them -- have cloaked all manner of evil in the entertainment industry.

As the #MeToo, #TimesUp, #PayUpHollywood, and many other movements demonstrate, times are changing. Yet there are countless things happening behind closed doors that people feel they can't talk about and wish they could.

This podcast changes all that. Actors, writers, crew members and support staffers reveal their wildest behind-the-scenes secrets on this podcast in total anonymity. And then you get to listen to their stories.

Hosted by writer-producers Meagan Daine and J.R. Zamora-Thal, the Hollywood Confessional is a biweekly podcast by Ninth Way Media. New episodes drop every other Thursday. Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Connect on social media @fessuphollywood!

Clever, funny, and poignant - An Honest Look at the Industry from the People who Keep it Going
We all know that the staff on films and productions are overworked, underpaid, and made to deal with impossible people. So it’s about time that they have a platform to speak out and share their stories. Hollywood Confessional gives them that opportunity, with hosts Meagan Daine and JR Zamora providing a warm and humorous space for those in the industry trenches to speak out. Part of shifting the power dynamic for the better in a business rife with abuse, is allowing the people who suffer the most to tell their stories. I am grateful to Hollywood Confessional for doing just that and can’t wait to hear more. Go in peace, fellow parishioners.

    These stories are crazy!
With all the wild stuff we hear out of Hollywood, I’m glad someone is bringing it to light. Hopefully we get to a time where the stories are much better, but until then keep bringing these to light!

    Insightful!
Love the way they tell stories from all kinds of people trying to make it in Hollywood, and treat every confessor with grace.

    Funny and Candid
Love this podcast! There’s something healing and soothing in listening to crazy stories about other people’s industry jobs and not feel the only one who’s facing madness day in day out. Great podcast concept!

The candor is beautiful. I feel less alone. I wish I had this podcast when starting my career.

    The Inside of the Insane
I work in the business. We all have stories we can’t tell for fear of messing up our careers — and this is the perfect way to give truth its day! This pod is not just fun — it’s NECESSARY.

    Hard to listen to
I love the concept of this show, but the constant bleeping is so hard on the ear and distracts from the story we’re trying to listen to. Instead of bleeping a specific airport or restaurant you could just say “the airport” and “the restaurant”. I had to turn it off after a few minutes.
