    Obsessed with this podcast
I'm absolutely obsessed with this podcast! I recommend it to everyone! It has grown my testimony in so many ways and has given me such a broader insight to having a "faith crisis", has helped me to see it in a more eternal perspective and has given me so much hope for the people in my family who have left the church. I love it! So grateful for what you guys are doing!

Some good stories but fails to explore the reasons for faith crisis
I have really tried hard to like your podcast. The episode with Austin was a tipping point for me as he repeated so many of the age-old assertions about why people doubt the church. His comments about critics were very cliché and dismissive. His claims about the benefits of the church did not cite a single source and are countered by many reputable sources. Quite simply, the reason why so many people are having faith crises is because the historical foundations of the church do not hold up to any sort of close scrutiny. Read the church history essays on the church’s own gospel library website if you want to see why many people leave the church. Don’t go name-calling when it comes to people that have left, you dismiss their pain, their agony and judge them quite unfairly.

    Audio needs work
Love the podcast and stories of hope and redemption. The audio is difficult to listen to and bad quality. I have to turn it way up just to hear and the sound is echoing and bad.

    This is so needed
This podcast is so needed in todays world. Parole do leave for various reasons but so many people come back. This reminds me of the scripture “Lord, to whom should we go? You have the words of eternal life.” I’m grateful for the hope this podcast brings each week but also for the enlightening and perspective of Gods children experiencing struggles that look different than mine. Thank you Ashley & Lauren

So Uplifting, Inspiring, and Full of His Spirit!
I LOVE this podcast! I have listened to every episode and feel so uplifted each time I listen. I love how vulnerable and open each guest is, and for the reminder that we are ALL imperfect and struggling in some way and Christ (and His Gospel) is ALWAYS the best answer and antidote to whatever we are dealing with. Thank you, Ashly, and the whole Come Back team for the amazing work you are doing! You have helped and strengthened me and so many others so much!!!

I just finished listening to the podcast with Peter (the Samoan) and I was completely blown away by his amazing testimony. I honestly was riveted for the whole hour and eight minutes. I want to thank him so much for sharing such personal experiences and his incredibly strong testimony. I was pretty much in tears the whole time, it was such a beautiful experience to hear his story. Thank you, Ashley for all that you do, I appreciate your testimony so much, it really has strengthened me and helped me so many times.

I listen every week and feel uplifted and hopeful. So grateful to hear so many people acknowledging the amazing truth of the love of our Heavenly Father and our elder brother Jesus Christ. I want to keep being in that light- thanks to you all for sharing! It keeps me hopeful that my family’s story is a work in process and I can trust that we are on Gods radar, working through , learning and growing as He knows we need to.

    Invaluable
This podcast is absolutely priceless! I have been sober for 14 years. There was a point where I walked away and it almost cost me my life. Then, I came back. And I will fight every day to keep the gospel in my life. I love what you do to give people a chance to tell their stories ❤️

    Important Work
Thank you this podcast. It is such important work you are doing. These voices need to be heard over the clamor of the world. We need to hold space for everyone and learn to understand the why’s of people leaving and returning. Thank you.
  • le sac isaac
    emotionally based
I think its important for people to express why they make their decisions. The issue i have with this podcast is that it especially only shows the emotional or family reasons why they returned. It doesn't really address any other side of it. for example the episodes about queer people returning pretty all go like “i partied to much and life got hard so i blamed it on my sexuality so i could have my support system back”. its not really the ringing endorsement for the church members would tell you it is.

If you are willing, you are worthy!
Thank you Ashley for interviewing so many beautiful and vulnerable humans. Thank you for reminding us, through the stories of wrestle and struggle that there is nothing we can do to push God’s love away from us. These stories should remind us to focus on what matters most and push away from fitting a mold or thinking we must be perfect for the grace of Jesus to touch our hearts.

    A Great Work
You’re going a great service to all church members. I never left the church but I have gone through things that shouldn’t have happened to me or my family in the church. Choosing to stay when you are barely hanging on is worth it. Learning to forgive and give grace is the Savior’s way.
  • sogoodgirl
    Thank you
Thank you all for being vulnerable to share your stories, tender mercies, and miracles! Listening to this podcast has helps me immensely to have hope with my own dear family member who has stepped away from the church, and has strengthened my personal faith. Keep em coming!

    So grateful!!
Thank you so so much for the time you take from your busy life to give us this enlightening, heartfelt, expressive, and faith-filling content! I bear the crosses of drug addiction and same-sex attraction, and I have felt connected to so many of these stories. It gives me so much hope to know that others have traveled down dark and difficult paths, but found the strength and faith to come back. I’m on my journey back and this podcast has been a beacon that is helping me find my way. Thank you, Ashly! 🥰🙏🤍

    Hit or miss.
This show has such a great concept and wonderful hosts. I love the idea of sharing stories of those who actually returned to the Gospel. That being said, it’s really a hit or miss with the guests they get. Sometimes I feel the spirit, other times I feel like they’ve returned for wrong reasons and choose to live the Gospel their way, and not “His way”. I know that’s something the host can’t decipher before the interview—but that just leaves me feeling wrong by the end of the episode.

    Perfect for me
I found this podcast when I needed it most. It’s opened my eyes to feel what I feel and learn about it. I’m thankful for the people who share their struggles in faith. Everyone is validated, even those who leave. I hope this podcast continues to be a safe space for everyone. Thankful to Ashley for putting this into the world💗

    Can’t say enough
I can’t say enough about how wonderful this podcast is! This is such a marvelous platform demonstrating the reality of life that many people have. I have, and continue to have, struggles but I stay steadfast to my faith and testimony. Thank you Ashly and everyone else involved!
  • Cleo-Jane2

    Blind leading the blind
I listened to the episode with the man who returned after being exposed to “anti-Mormon” literature (which even he admits was all true). I felt it perpetuated some harmful stereotypes about those who leave (the interviewer’s first question when he said he left was, “did you go drink alcohol?”) and failed to really talk about the issues that made him leave at all. It’s nice he had a good feeling. It’s nice he had some seemingly miraculous coincidences to confirm Mormon biases. But such is true for countless people in countless religions. Harmful myths need to be challenged. They destroy families, individuals, and societies.

    Inspiring!
Thank you, Ashlyn, for making the effort and taking the time to bring us these wonderful interviews. It’s truly an inspirational and powerful experience to listen to the stories of their journeys, navigating the ups & downs of life, and their faith. ! 🤩
  • phelpsgirl1
    Genuine
I love these stories shared by each of these children of God — their real struggles. I love their individual journeys to reach out to Heavenly Father and experiment again upon the word and feel Heavenly Father reaching back to them. It also strengthens my testimony to hear the contrast between trying to live without Jesus and His restored gospel and the peace and assurance that comes with returning to the covenant path. There is still struggling and suffering on the covenant path, but with purpose and power from God to endure.
  • Timshel2
    Skeptical
I have felt skeptical about listening to this podcast. Afraid that it would paint those who leave as lost, or paint their lives as less happy or worthwhile outside the church. So basically I was concerned about it taking a coercive or fear based angle. I finally listened to the episode with Maxine Hanks because I know her entire journey is one of integrity. Thanks for interviewing her. Now I’m thinking I might try another.

    Hope for Wandering Children
Three of my four kids have decided to leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for various reasons. My husband & I are both return missionaries who have been fully committed to our family & church throughout our married life. It has been heartbreaking for me as a mother and I often feel like I must have done something wrong in raising my kids when I see other “perfect” children in my church community. I recently found the Come Back Podcast and the stories shared on it have renewed my hope that my children may someday feel the love of the Lord. And as a result decide to return to His church and renew their covenants.
