lizingraftonListening from OhioI like the show. to listen to things in order you have to fish around and find it. If there’s a way to organize the episodes that would be nice. And that cop from Detroit taking bribes-sounds totally guilty.

LSD122070Love the show but…WHY if I subscribed, am I still hearing ads? 😭 I literally subscribed to at least 25 shows if they’re worthy, just so I don’t have to hear the ads.

MariaTeeeeeChanged my lifeJack, Your podcast has changed my life. I’m looking into starting college in the fall to study behavioral science. I am fascinated by our system and the amount of corruption that is within.

miniMinionNo one believes this Dorice person. No one believes this Dorice person. She’s a cold blooded killer. Why are we listening to her? Why are we giving her time?

simoneka1977Five stars BUT..As a long time FEIRCE advocate for everything innocence, I’m taken aback by the mere thought of putting anything behind a pay wall that involves helping these innocent men & women find freedom. I absolutely LOVE the show, love what Jack is doing & intend to continue listening, but im absolutely saddened at this. I’m a member & hold patreon accounts to many content creators in this space, so I’m definitely not suggesting you shouldn’t have a pay wall of sorts, but in specific reference to ANY& ALL CALLS TO ACTION IN THE NAME OF INNOCENCE TO HOPEFULLY ACHIEVE FREEDOM/JUSTICE, NEVER MIND TO POTENTIALLY STOP AN UPCOMING EXECUTION, FOR GODS SAKE, DO NOT DEMAND PAYMENT IN ORDER TO HEAR CONTENT PERTAINING TO SUCH! It’s simply put , tacky & distasteful. I understand early listening etc., but some things have to be made available to everyone immediately in order to make positive change. Suggestions to a solution would be to put interviews of the freed behind that paywall AFTER THE FACT & early listening to everything else, etc.! Other than this huge fumble, I give this show five thousand stars & love every ounce of each episode. Plz consider this review!!!! I’m that person who most likely knew of the person your show is about prior to any creators coverage, but I think back to when I wasn’t this person & would have waited until the next episode in hopes that person is maybe been freed or spared vs signing the petition or calling ppl to shake things up, not everyone else is though! Anyway my soapbox is super sudsy so I’ll get off of it now! Don’t stop doing what your doing, otherwise!!!! Uur amazing!

Jana1469What a great find.If you’re lucky enough to stumble upon this gem, sit back and binge away. Easy to follow, great content, informative and the host has everything it takes for a successful podcast. I’m hooked. Edit: all the above still applies but I would like to add, if this podcast doesn’t infuriate you, you’re dead inside. So many innocent lives spent locked up because of a failed judicial system. It could happen to any of us especially if you’re a Person of color or marked by poor economic class. Makes me sick. I want to help somehow yet I feel helpless. I don’t know how some of these people aren’t writhe with anger. One more thing: Jack Lawrence is outstanding. He is always so thorough and seems to ask every question I come up with. His voice and tone make it such a nice listen.

MEU.PhDA new perspectiveI love this show and the new perspective it brings to the true crime genre. The host asks great questions and leaves it to listeners to form their own opinions about guilt or innocence but aside from that sheds much needed light on the American justice system. While not all of the people telling their stories appear to be innocent, or even claim to be, it is interesting and informative to listen to the other side of the story and humanizes incarcerated people without taking away from the victims or their families. I like hearing the perspective from the defense attorney who weighs in on the cases as well. The host does a wonderful job and I’m always excited for the next episode to come out.

Twin_mommyMy hometown! This podcast opened my eyes about a murder that happened in my hometown when I was a teenager. Jack does an amazing job interviewing the inmates and treats them with respect and compassion. Highly recommend giving this a listen!

Wmhunt5 stars but…JackNeeds to remove all the “Alaska Avenger” episodes. Jason Vukovich, a good talker but comes off as sociopath with unbelievable stories. Jason willing to pay for his own therapy never mentions paying back all the people he stole from. Vukovich a loser and needs more time in prison for the other crimes he’s committed.

MaverickAbundanceThank You for Helping our humansI appreciate you giving the humans in prison a voice. No matter if they are innocent or guilty. It’s so important and very illuminating to hear what has happened to those behind bars. I have a strong opinion on Anthony Duke. Please tell the Governor to get him out of Prison. That case is clear, false evidence and he was set up.

OofiOofsterActual Rating 10 STARS!This podcast is so raw & also absurdly refreshing due to Jacks responses to the stories the inmates tell. We listeners can all play judge & jury on which inmates we think are innocent. But much more than that we are forced to think more about how unjust the American "justice" system is & how American prisons are for the most part a simple business model equating to modern day slavery. Most importantly this podcast makes clear that with one wrong turn or bad decision some of these stories could be absolutely anyone. That is absolutely terrifying.HOWEVER I AM UPDATING TO SAY ENOUGH WITH THE NARCISSISTS PROMOTING THEIR BOOKS! PLEASE RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL FORMAT OF TRUE STORIES (& WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FEMALE STORIES?)

ChicagoListener241Interesting PodThis is a good Pod but I’d really like to hear about the possibility of an Alford Plea for Dorice.

Brendo88Fantastic showThanks to Jack Luna for putting me on to this podcast. It’s great. Jack Laurence does a terrific job but sometimes it feels he’s a little too much on the side of the convicted criminal who are usually pretty good liars. However, he does a good job by following each case up with a lawyer who puts the case into perspective. I’m a big fan. Keep up the good work!
-
DittyknittyObsessedWhy are you people OBSESSED with us!!! You have your own country and your own criminals! Why are you and Jack Luna (and everyone else) so obsessed with The United States of America? Geez

Kelly TalleyAmazing interactive host!Jack has created an amazing podcast showcasing the major injustices in the American prison system. He is extraordinary for showing the inmates perspective and the horrible conditions that they live in. Thank you for everything that you do a Jack!!!!

Cheerleader_Madison05Incredible!Love this fresh approach to “true crime”. Hearing these stories from the perspective of the individual themselves, the people in their lives, and details Jack has received is incredible.

SashaThumper23Very well done!I love this approach. Letting the people who have been convicted tell their side of the story. I also appreciate the research he does for each persons story. It’s definitely a fresh idea and new perspective on true crime.
